About Kevin

I have had a fairly diverse musical background, including playing with bands and orchestras, as well as participating in choral groups and opera. I have a master's degree in music performance for wind conducting, and a bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis on piano performance. I have taught private lessons for several years now and I love every moment with my students! I love music, which should be obvious because if I didn't I wouldn't be writing this now! I also have a real passion for sharing my knowledge and experience with others, both failures and successes. I believe everyone has creative potential, and I believe music is a real universal art form that anyone can tap into if they want. Russell R.

Germantown, TN

About Russell

My name is Russell "Rusty" R. I have been a professional guitarist for 25 years. During the past 25 years I have managed the area's largest music stores. I opened a Guitar Repair Center and became a "Certified *Fender Guitar Technician" . My experience with other musicians on stage and in the studio is without parallel. A "school" cannot duplicate real world experience. I understand the frustrations associated with finding the right person who understands how to treat you as an individual. A great instructor will not teach out of a book, they will write a book for you. A real Education in "playing guitar" is much broader than what you can learn from a book. I can help you understand the guitar in a practical and logical way, how to become a "guitar player" - not just how to ...

My 9 year old son came from School of Rock, which was organized chaos, to now where John has implemented a real strategy for him to learn faster and to focus on reading notes. My son has retained his interest and is excelling under John's guidance. I would highly recommend John for students of all ages.
