You will set the pace for your lesson. I want you to enjoy your time in music, so your lessons will be completely customized. We will develop a goal plan for you so that our time together is interesting, fun, and we make progress! In 3-6 months, you will have a stable technical program and have started a portfolio of music for performances, no matter what level you are. We can share sheet music in person or online (I can even email you great links to amazing performances). Just let me know where you want to be in music, and we'll work together to make it happen. I can't wait to meet you!

First - YOU MUST HAVE YOUR OWN INSTRUMENT FOR PRACTICE AT HOME BEFORE BEGINNING LESSONS!!! Consistency is very important for learning, and weekly lessons ARE NOT enough for growth. My home studio is in a private music room. Parents can relax in our family space with coffee or tea and enjoy their children's learning at their leisure. My studio includes a 88-key keyboard, technology setup with an iMac, microphone and stand, a mirror for posture and musical instruments. I carry books for the lessons themselves (not for practice at home), and we can download or print out music as desired. If you take lessons online, I can email you links and sheet music as needed. Feel free to bring any additional equipment music you would like to share. I have some great recommendations for music books designed for both children and adult learners.
*** Specialties ***
jazz, contemporary, classical (instrumental), original, computer music composition

About Pam I.
CloseI have been teaching flute for 20 years and I enjoy working with students of all ages to help them reach their goals. At the beginning level, I use the Rubank Method, Suzuki Book 1 and 40 Little Pieces. At the intermediate level, students advance to the Rubank Method (Book II), Suzuki Book II and III and beginning etudes and scales and at the advanced levels I work on tone, technique, standard repertoire and college requirements.
About Pam
I use the Suzuki method for younger flute students and a combination of Blocki Flute Method and Rubank for students who are in fifth grade and above. I work with students to set specific goals for their progress and encourage them to enter solo and ensemble, all county and all-state competitions and I prepare them for those competitions if they want to enter them. I also work with adults and teenagers. I teach piano up to the intermediate level using the Faber books.

I have taught flute lessons for 20 years. My students study either in my studio at my home(which is decorated in a fun pink Victorian style) or online. Every year we have mini recitals at my home where students showcase works in progress and we have a party. Then at the end of the year, we have a fun formal recital at a church and everyone gets dressed up and shows off a piece. My students often hold first chairs at their schools and do well on chair auditions.

About Daniel
My teaching career began informally while I was in high school, showing friends the basics of what I knew at the time on different instruments. I would also give some lessons to family friends, usually the younger siblings who were just starting out in 5th or 6th grade band. After I graduated from college in 2016, I began teaching professionally at various music studios throughout the North Jersey area, and thr

I am an experienced flute player, teacher and choral conductor. I have 12 years of experience teaching music (both singing and flute), and have worked with students of all ages. I believe in developing the student as an overall musician, in addition to mastering the specific instrument of study.
About Megan
I approach my students from the standpoint of developing overall musicianship, in addition to the specific technique of the flute. This involves learning basic fingerings and breath technique, scales, and music reading; but also, very importantly, how to play music with lyricism and beauty, and how to be part of an ensemble.
For beginner and intermediate students, we will use the Rubank series of study books, along with scales, etudes, and solos. We will focus on learning to produce a beautiful sound, and how to treat the flute as an extension of the
I love finding ways for the student to master technique, solve problems, and most of all, develop as a musician.
