We just wanted to thank you so much for all your help over the last few months in preparing Sara for her recitals. Her talent show at school was last night and she did fabulously and projected for all to hear and she couldn’t have done it without your teaching!

Melissa was my first voice teacher, and I was so fortunate to have her. She was very patient with me because I was very shy and self conscious when it came to vocal lessons. She help me find my voice, and started crafting it using many different tools to help me understand the different elements that allows one to register sound. She is a joy to learn from, and I recommend any beginner to learn from her.

I am continuing to study cello with Jamie and I am much further along than I anticipated. I also study piano, so I am not a traditional beginner cello student. Jaime is able to fine tune my lessons to take this into account and build on it. He is very knowledgeable about proper technique as well as music theory. I would recommend him without reservation for all abilities and ages.

Jamie worked with me when I was trying to pick up cello after not playing since high school. He is extremely knowledgeable and encouraging. He's very good at identifying problems with technique and suggesting approaches to fix them, and fun to work with.

Timon is a really great guitar teacher. I am an older student who has had some previous musical education in other instruments. Timon is able to understand my goals and customize the learning plan and approach to meet me at my current level of skills and understanding. He has an incredible knowledge of music from both a theory POV as well as different genres, styles and music eras. He is really fun to work with and and is always supportive and encouraging. I look forward each week to the learning process. I definitely believe I will be a much better, more well-rounded guitar player working with Timon than I would be with other teachers that I have met.

Hi I'm kate!
I teach piano and voice lessons for students of all ages. I currently work at a music studio within Charlottesville VA called " The Music Emporium" as a piano/vocal coach, as well as do in home lessons and online lessons. I have been teaching for over two years, and actively keep myself involved with music through singing with a classical chorus within the area. In my free time, I teach preschoolers, and teach children's music classses within the music studio, as well as music classes within my schools. I am possibly going to be working with a local elementary school this year, teaching private piano lessons in their afternoon program as well. If you have any questions, feel free to add me on my facebook page at Kate Wisbey Music, or email me at katewisbeymusic@gmail.com. I have done crazy jobs such as work on a cruiseship
as a youth counselor, to working at disneyworld. I even have my AMS Montessori certification to teach primary classes, as well as my music together certification to teach children's music classes with families. I can be a little silly, but I promise that lessons will be a lot of fun!
