When I first begin teaching a student, I tell them that everyone has the ability to sing well no matter his or her experience. I also tell them that there are four things that a good singer must have: breathe control (air is your fuel, and must be used efficiently and effectively to give you the best sound), posture (in order to have access to your air and prevent vocal damage you must practice good posture habits), diction (how you pronounce words when singing can impede or improve vocal tone, as well as help or hinder the audience in understanding the lyrics) and finally and most importantly, passion. Passion is how emotionally connected you are to music and is what really allows the singer to connect with his or her audience.

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

I am a 15 years old and have been taking lessons with Jillian for about a year and a half. I started out as a beginner and she was so patient with me and encouraged me continuously so that I can feel confident in myself. She also made the experience so much fun, while other teachers I've had made it stressful. She is also so knowledgable and talented but never made me feel bad that i wasnt at her level. Jillian is also cares about all her students and their progress. I cant recommend her enough to everyone who wants to learn!!"

I am having fun working with Jameson. I was looking for a non competitive, friendly teaching environment, with the right level of discipline. Jameson's classes and style are very balance, and I can hear my improvements. I recommend this teacher for anyone who is willing to discover its voice and improve within its own rythme and ability."

Gabriel has techniques that would help students to learn warm-ups and excerses to unlock their full range, and improve their vocal ability.

Is it too late for me to learn how to sing?" As a voice teacher, I get inquiries from singers of all walks of life. Here, Antioch, TN voice teacher Erica S. shares a few valuable tips... For most singers and actors, making a living out of your talent is the ultimate goal. In order to be a professional, we must treat our talent as a business. We may not be marketing experts because we spend most of our time in the practice ro …

Every singer should have a few traditional and contemporary acapella songs under their belt. Many times, singers are required to sing acapella at auditions - without an accompanist or background track. Music directors often ask singers to sing acapella in order to hear and test their musicality and stamina. (Acapella singing requires that these skills be sharp!) It also shows that you’re able to be a leader, and that you're comfortable having the spotlight on you as a solo singer. I …
