About Tim
With collegiate guitar studies, collaborations in progressive rock projects, and original compositions scored ― I have a deep understanding of music theory, authoring "Understand, See, Hear - Become One with the Guitar," guitar technique, ear training, and songwriting, My musical journey as a composer and recording artist has always been an expression of my individuality.

*** Lesson Details ***
Music is a subjective experience. As a listener, what you love reflects yourself; similarly, what you play reflects yourself. As your mentor, my goal is to nurture your development as a guitar p
layer, as well as, nurture your self-expression through the instrument. With perseverance, your goals as a musician can be attained with each lesson a step in understanding and in motor skills to this end. Always though, the objective is that the musical journey is fun and fulfilling.

*** Studio Equipment ***
keyboard, guitars, amp/effects processor, computer music notation

*** Specialties ***
Approaching the guitar holistically, I show how the guitar is organized using templates from my book. Musical concepts such as chords and scales are applied within the guitar's holistic framework and are related to the student's preferred artists/songs. If it compliments the student's learning style, musical notation is used. Styles I specialize in are rock 'n' roll, jazz, and classical.

Tim is always enthusiastic at teaching while obtaining great skills and knowledge of music. He's been always helping and encouraging me. Unfortunately I needed to leave as I'm moving out of town. I would recommend him as your sensei if you are interested in expressing yourself with musical words.

Tim has many years experience and it is clear that he enjoys teaching guitar and sharing this with his student. He is very encouraging. He is currently working with me on emproving some of my techniques and feels that I am making great progress and that it will make a great difference in my gaining a greater mastery of playing the guitar.

About Will
I teach guitar, drums and vocals to an array of students ranging from 10 to 60. Not only do I teach but I also write songs for certain students who have a desire to perform their own music as well as learning and honing their craft on their instrument. I am currently helping a vocal student of mine write some songs after scales and warm-ups and am working with one of my top guitar students tomorrow on different scale techniques. I just placed a drum student in the finals in Alternative Press Magazine's Hit Like A Girl competition. She was the top vote getter with 1,026 votes and is in the top
10 under 18 drummers in the world. I am also working with more and more students on songwriting and showing them different chords and ways to go about writing a song. I would love to get started with you as soon as possible and we will get you where you want to be musically. I find that if a student has a particular song or a rhythm pattern they want to learn they learn more quickly. They're learning and having fun at the same time. We will find what you want to learn and we will get it down! Furthermore, it's your choice if you would rather come to my place as a lot of my students do or have me come to your place as a lot of them do. I look forward to speaking with you! Cheers!

*** Lesson Details ***
I will get you started depending on your skill level. I usually, of course, see where we're at there and then decide what needs to be taught. With each respective student I usually make them a CDR the lessons for you so you can take them home and improve on what we've worked on.

*** Studio Equipment ***
recording equipment; guitars (acoustic & electric); bass guitar (electric); upright bass; maracas; egg shaker; cowbell; tambourine; PSR 170 64-key digital keyboard for the voice lessons.Yamaha DT Explorer for drum lessons

*** Travel Equipment ***
recording equipment; guitars (acoustic & electric); bass guitar (electric); upright bass; maracas; egg shaker; cowbell; tambourine; digital keyboard for the voice lessons

*** Specialties ***

it went very well....i'd give 4.5 or 5 stars but i'm going to wait and see how it goes...i dont give perfect scores for anything so easy....seems to be a very well rounded instructor which fits into my plans of going over a wide range of subjects besides singing.....I'm just going to take five lessons as an overview of musicianship as thats all my budget allows....
