I graduated with a BFA in Acting/Theatre from the theatre program at Syracuse University (SU). Through my undergrad degree, I studied at the Globe Theatre in London and spent a semester taking classes with Broadway and TV/Film Casting agents in New York City. I have performed professionally in Scotland, New York, and toured many theatres and schools in Chicago, Wisconsin, and Indiana. I am energetic, positive, and specific. Singing can be easy and fun and I hope to instill that in all my students. I like to get work done while still smiling and laughing. In lessons, we will focus on properly using your breath and body to have the best technique possible. Whether you want to sing classical repertoire in your all-state choir, get into a competitive musical theatre BFA program, win scholarships, audition for Broadway or Disney, or belt a pop song better in your car/shower, I can definitely help you! Between 1 to 6 months, you can expect to have a stronger and fuller voice/sound, feel more confident singing/acting, and perform with more ease. We will stretch your vocal range so you begin to sing even higher and lower than before! I like to start the lesson with warm-ups and vocalizations, work in a little music theory, and then work on repertoire. I have many repertoire books and can help you choose songs that best fit your age, gender, and personality. However, you can also have the option of bringing in pieces you need to work on for auditions, shows, or just for fun! I encourage students to record the lesson so that you can practice between lessons and record notes if you are learning a song. I think music and theatre allows people to express themselves, gain confidence, and use their creativity/imagination. Great technique is a solid foundation for developing skills and individuality in your craft and a long career.

Since relocating to Boston, I have performed 250+ shows in various ensembles around the greater Boston area.

I work with people in regard to singing lessons since 2004 in both academic settings and private face-to-face instructions. The lesson's plans and general direction that it takes during the course of study substantially depends on the student's interests and preferences. Along with main subjects that motivates students most in taking voice lessons ( such as learning new songs from the contemporary popular repertoire, for instance), I will offer my prospective students basic training in general musicianship; this would enable people to sing, read written music, and understand the very basics of music theory. I am Vasiliy M, Boston University School of Music Alumnus (DMA in Composition). We dwell in Boston since Fall 2002; before that time , we lived in New York, where I studied Composition at Mannes College, The New School For Music. I received both BM, and MM degrees from Mannes in 1999, and 2001, respectively. Before an arrival to US, in 1994, I studied Jazz Performance, Electric Bass Major, and Classical Composition, at Moldova State Conservatory, from 1988 to 1993, respectively.
I was raised in the family, where music is an essential part of its daily life; my father, Grigoriy, before his retirement, was a military band trombone player, and, quite naturally, I was exposed to music, and encouraged by my parents to learn playing an instrument of my choice, from my early childhood.
My mother, Anisia Kondrat'ievna,
possesses both beautiful vocal abilities and perfect pitch , although she has never had a chance to develop her natural gifts any further. But I have heard my mother singing, and these moments remain one of the most touching and impressive musical experiences, that I have ever received, and remember to this very day.
Only after a considerable life experiences, abound of trials and mistakes, at the age of twenty five, I have come to a clear realization, that music remains my greatest passion, and that I would have to become a professional musician. With help and support of friends and colleagues, I have entered Community College in Soroki city, Moldova Republic, where I have studied Choral Conducting for Amateurs. I have graduated from school in May of 1988, having written a few instrumental and vocal compositions of my own, and, quite unexpectedly for myself, was invited, that summer, to visit Moldova State Conservatory, with the prospect of audition for the Composition Major. After the meeting with the Chair of the Department, I was offered an opportunity to be accepted to the Master Degree Program in Composition, provided I will have completed two years of preliminary studies of Music Theory, Music Harmony/Voice Leading, and many other related disciplines.
Why do I bring all of these facts to this Essay? I know for the fact now, that I was not ready for what was awaiting ahead of me, back then. There was no way, that I could cope with the demands of Composition Program curriculum. But I have had love for music, that my parents have implemented in me throughout my childhood; I have had natural abilities, that Heavens supplied me with: and I have had a chance to make my dream a reality, providing I do everything that I will have to, during the following years of struggles and study.
The decision was made, and my studies have begun. I have come through every mistake, defeat, and mind-barriers imaginable, and if it would not be a continuous stream of professional help and support, that I have received from my numerous teachers, mentors, and professors, along the years of study, my goals could never be attained to any modest, but real degree.
Whenever I have a chance to teach, tutor, or assist other musicians with their study, my past experience always reminds me, that any person may experience some difficulties of various nature with the learning material, from time to time, and that those difficulties should be addressed by student's teacher with the highly individual approach, however time-and effort-consuming it may be. Patience and respect, in regard to the students, have become as important aspects of teaching to me, as those of discipline and professionalism.
My studies have come to an end; I see now, that the world of music is an endless entity, for it has no boundaries, and we all have to maintain our further progress, in order to move to our chosen destinations, and to help others with their own advancements.

Vasiliy has been coming to my home for years. He is so patient, so kind and wonderful with young students. My daughter started with him at age 6 (she's now 12) and Vasiliy has made so much progress with her. Every time she plays, I am amazed. She has started to play and sing along as well. We are very happy with Vasiliy and I highly recommend him.

About Albino
Albino was born in Maputo, the capital of Mozambique, a country in southern Africa known for its rich musical and cultural heritage. Fueled by the resourcefulness and determination that have always characterized Mozambicans, he built his first guitar at 16 from a 5-liter can of oil, scrap wood, and strings made out of electrical cords.

Drawn to the sounds of neighborhood street musicians in Maputo, Albino began to play in a number of local bands. As with his home-made guitar, Albino wanted to combine styles and incorporate diverse elements in his music. For his talents to grow, he knew he needed experience new places, cultures, and sounds.

While studying music education and Performance at Universidade Eduardo Mondlane in Mozambique, he heard about the Berklee School of Music in Boston, USA, where he could expand his musical horizons
. Soon after, he was one of the first students to receive a full scholarship to Berklee through the African Scholars program. In 2009, he settled in Boston, Massachusetts.

At Berklee, he was exposed to a variety of influences, but wanted to go deeper into the roots of jazz and expand his knowledge of music. He auditioned and was selected to participate in the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, which is directed by Danilo Perez and the residency teachers, including Joe Lovano John Patitucci, and Terri Lyne Carrington. The Institute emphasizes an artist's original vision in jazz, and has helped Albino find his own unique voice in the art form.

Albino still felt the absence of his own Mozambican traditions in his music. With the help of his mentors, Richard Bona and Lionel Loueke, two of the most prominent African musicians in the United States of America today, he began to bridge that gap.

Today, Albino's music succeeds in combining many disparate parts into an organic whole. It incorporates his musical experiences from Mozambique, the U.S., and many other places around the world, combining rhythmic patterns and musical concepts to create a unique Moz-Jazz sound. He will always continue to combine and capture the energies of different musical traditions to create a unified and original musical style.

Albino's original composition “Mozambique Dance” was recorded by Jazz Revelation Records, a student-run record label at the Berklee College of Music, for the 8th annual album released in 2011. He also recorded “Awusiwana,” his own composition, for the Berklee 2012 summer album. His debut album, also called Mozambique Dance, is to be released in Spring 2013.

Albino is an active musician, and has performed in several countries including Mozambique, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Italy, the U.S., and Mexico. He has also produced and recorded various projects in Mozambique and in the United States. In 2012, he will graduate from Berklee College with a degree in Music Production & Engineering and Performance, and a minor in Acoustics and Electronics.

Albino is an amazing teacher and musician. He has the ability to inspire you musically and make you feel very comfortable while doing it. He has taught me many new approaches, tips, and tricks to music theory. He has helped me to be able to really understand why things are the way they are, and not just figure things out on paper like an equation. Definitely the best tutor I've ever had! I'd highly recommend him.

Patient, Supportive, and Encouraging.

It was what I was looking for when looking for a coach. Although, I wasn't trying to be the next American Idol, I did want to not butcher anymore of the songs I love to sing. I had taken singing lessons in the past and was hesitant with this experience, the issue was my instructors wanted me to learn what they wanted to teach and honestly didn't make for the best experience.

Albino made this experience different, our first few lessons were focused on learning some basics skills and drills. We explored what songs might be suitable to start off with given my range and where I was and started to practice and practice and practice, until i felt comfortable. The more comfortable I became and the better I became with my drills, the more options we explored, the more of the songs I wanted to really sing started to come into conversation and I felt as though I was and continue to make progress.

Albino has never made this about himself. He has never pushed his own style on me and I can really appreciate that. He genuinely enjoys helping you achieve something you never thought you could or were nervous of doing. He pushes you just enough that you feel challenged and want to continue doing it.

I've come so far in such a short period of time and I have him to thank. This is the man you want to be coached by if you're looking to be pushed in the right direction without feeling like there is only one way to get to where you want to be.

About Gitit
HI, I am Gitit. Gitit is the Bible name for the Harp of king david.

I have started my musical career at the early age of 13 when I had an iconic performance at the Pre Eurovision contest. I have recorded 11 Albums 4 of them (dedicated to Holidays) went multiple platinum.

During the years I was fortunate to perform and give concerts around the world. I am currently working with A group of 4 amazing musicians and concentrating on world music.

Teaching and sharing my love for music was always a passion of mine. I have studied with the best of the best, from whom I have learned superb breathing and singing techniques while learning also the art of teaching.

It has been an amazing privilege to take singing lessons with Gitit, who is a renown singer with a rare voice and stage presence. There is so much to learn from Gitit professionally - her approach has helped so many people to grow as singers and performers. But, more importantly, the experience is extremely enjoyable. Despite her own unique talent, Gitit is humble and fun. She extracts the best in everyone gently. I, personally, am quite self judging, especially when it comes to singing. But Gitit never judges - she instructs with strong positive guidance and feedback. Results are fantastic and we always have so much fun! Learning from Gitit has been a wonderful gift for myself. I highly recommend her!!!

I know Gitit Shoval for a few years now.
Her long and amazing solo career is certainly a big plus when it comes to her teaching and instructing techniques.
My daughter abilities, stage presence, confidence and technique were simply transformed after a few lessons with Gitit and this year I have started taking lessons too.
Gitit is very attentive to her student strengths and know exactly what are the areas she needs to work with you on.
Her Great spirit (always a smile) and engaging personality completes the perfect package. I would recommend every one, what ever level you are to experience the Gitit Magic.

I have been singing and coaching vocals professionally for over 10 years. I teach all genres of music and specialize in audition preparation and vocal dynamics. I have also studied along in my career with one of the best vocal teachers in the world Gary Catona who has taught many famous singers including Katy Perry, Andrea Bocelli, Lorde, and BabyFace. About Andrew
I am a professional singer, pianist, songwriter, recording artist, and producer. I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors of Music in Contemporary Writing and Production.

Voice students can expect to improve week to week in their vocal technique. Every voice has a unique timbre; I teach students to release built up tension and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I can help any student to sing with freedom, confidence, and expression.

I teach piano students of all different ages in beginner and intermediate experience levels. I studied classical piano for 12 years, and contemporary keyboard for 7 of those. I can teach students to read music and pursue classical excellence, to learn how to play contemporary music using chord sheets, or both depending on the goals and preference of
the student.

Celeste is the best vocal teacher we've had! She began working with my daughter in middle school and continued for two years. Celeste is kind, intelligent and honest with her feedback.
