Breathing, posture, specific vocalises (exercises) to assist in your goals . Tone, range, all aspects covered. Student is welcome to pick music they like and I will help you to sing them! Everyone can saying it is just like any other instrument

About Mary
Music degree from Lawrence University and Conservatory in Appleton, WI. Graduate work in conducting, piano, and vocal pedagogy at Westminster Choir College in Princeton. Also certified in Kindermusik for ages newborn to 7.

My studio, since 1993 is located in the back of my house and is in a family friendly location.

As my education originally was music education, elementary and secondary, I have gone on to be certified in teaching adults, both beginning and returning. There is so much piano and vocal educational material geared to the pre-school, the elementary, Jr-Sr high and Adult beginner and I promise we will have fun while learning.....

Anyone can learn an instrument and anyone can learn many different styles. Lessons will be geared toward your interests and goals, which we can work on at your lesson also.

The grea
test virtues of a music teacher are passion, patience, understanding, and communicating. You will experience this in the studio. Give yourself a treat of two months of lessons and I promise you will be playing and/or singing better than you expected.

Member of MTNA (Music Teachers National Association), NFMC (National Federation of Music Clubs),
NJFMC (NJ Fed. of Music Clubs). MENC (Music Ed National Conference),

I am generally easy going and laid-back and will work with you to obtain specific goals such as a piece you would really like to learn. I can be strict if assignments are not followed or if there is no progression; we need to analyze why that is. I use many teaching methods as there are many different learning styles. The series I am currently using are Faber, Alfred, and Celebrate Piano! for pianists. Many singers are in Broadway, Disney, and/or English Reliquary and Italian Arias. There are so many wonderful choices! I can guarantee after three months you will be playing some music you like, and you will be reading music, and able to perform if you wish (starting small). With singing you will have basic knowledge of proper posture, breathing, and increased range. I also so enjoy people and communicating so you will feel comfortable taking lessons, and I believe that is one major factor of success in learning an instrument: the student-teacher relationship And second for children, especially the young, is the parent-teacher relationship .

*** Studio Equipment ***
Studio: Yamaha baby grand piano, Kawaii studio upright and keyboard, Yamaha keyboard, recording abilities, computer software, couch and two chairs, parents can sit in on lesson. Also have computer programs for note learning, composition, as well as giving you apps to download.

*** Specialties ***
Different methods for different students. Piano: mostly Faber and Alfred series. "Prodigy": Aaron/Thompson series. I've also had graduate study in teaching the Adult Beginner! As I was a church music director 1994 till last September, I am very familiar with traditional and contemporary sacred music, learning and performing. If you also wish to combine singing and accompanying yourself on piano or guitar lessons can be tailored.

Learn to sing true bel canto! My goal is to train voices to sing in a free and natural way, smoothly, from the bottom of the range to the top with no breaks or sudden changes in quality. Training in this technique gives the singer access to all dynamics, with tonal clarity and flexibility. This technique helps improve a singer’s range, endurance, stamina, breath control, resonance, vocal strength and vocal quality in all styles of music without fatigue or damage to the voice.

About Kiki
Raised just 30 minutes away from America's Entertainment Capital, Hollywood, California I have always had a draw to the performance spotlight. I started singing at the young age of 5 and since then, have received training from some of the world's finest instructors, including Tony Award Winner Lisa Seegmiller. I studied music vocal performance at Southern Utah University on a full scholarship with emphasis in opera and musical theater.

Some of my vocal accomplishments include first place winner in musical theater/classical divisions of the National Association of Teachers of Singing competition in 2005 and 2009 Las Vegas chapter. I made my first television singing debut in 2003 when I was invited to sing the National Anthem at the Paradise Bowl. I have also sung with both the Orchestra of Southern Utah and Southwest Symphony as a sopr
ano soloist in their performances of Handel's Messiah.

My love for the performing arts has given me the drive to teach what I love to others. I opened my very first studio over 12 years ago in Southern Utah while attending Dixie State University. I have since opened studios in Las Vegas, Kansas City area, and finally in 2014 Austin, Texas. In 2011 I was hired as the resident music director for Kids in the Round theater company until May 2013. My students have been cast in lead roles at many regional theater companies across the country as well as projects for TV and film. My young students are regularly cast in lead roles in their middle school and high school productions and selected to be apart of chamber choirs and selective performance groups.

Come and join my studio! I'd love to teach you!

I truly love being a part of their journey furthering their love for music and helping others find their voice . Throughout my singing career I've been involved in state vocal completions, multiple choirs, musical theater, acapella groups, background singing and having a blast singing with live bands. I have been a vocal instructor for over four years and in that time have taught students ranging from 3-71years old. During my teaching career I've learned every voice is different and has the potential for great things and my job is to help my students discover it. I enjoy blending what I've learned while being a professional vocalist as well as using the tools I've gained in my music education.

About Stormie
Hello All!

Vocal lessons are about so much more than just learning to sing a scale correctly. When teaching I love to see my students gain self confidence, knowledge, passion and grow from where they started.

I enjoy all genres of music and love exploring many different vocal techniques to adapt to each genre and tune. My love for music stems from growing up in a musical family, my mother playing flute and my father being a vocalist and an actor. I started sing at 5 years old and began taking lessons myself at the age of 6 years old. Growing up I found that music has so many layers and while in college getting my degree in Social Science I also learned to compose music and work in sound design. Besides singing and teaching I also work for a music publishing company which keeps me update on the constant changing world of music.

I am so excited to connect with new students and share what I've learned on my musical journey!
