I've been with Mikaela for the past 2 to 3 years, and she's been a wonderful instructor since. I started learning with her after playing the clarinet for about 3 years already- my skills on the clarinet have definitely improved tremendously, and the lessons have given me an edge in all my musical experiences. In addition to being a skillful clarinetist and teacher, she's also very supportive, caring, flexible schedule-wise, and has helped me grow my love for playing and music in general. She has encouraged me to step out of my comfort zone and try new, scary things (auditions, competitions, etc) that have definitely helped me grow as a musician and a person. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a boost in skill, a great teacher, and a wonderful experience. :)

Mikaela helped ramp my daughter from having no clarinet experience to being a fairly proficient player ready for the school band, in less than a school year. Mikaela is friendly, points out little things that help make big improvements in my daughter's playing, and keeps checking on the basics as well (embouchure, finger positioning, etc). Mikaela has been very flexible and has a good teaching manner and attitude which has made my daughter's clarinet learning experience a very positive one. We look forward to continuing to work with Mikaela!

I am currently a second year doctorate student in clarinet performance and the clarinet teaching assistant at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami. In May 2016, I graduated from California State University with a Master in Music in clarinet performance under the teaching of Hakan Rosengren, international soloist. In 2017, prior to my doctorate studies, I studied with Boris Allakhverdyan, principal clarinetist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

I have the experience of teaching private lessons in France and America and I am seeking clarinet students of every level and age.

I will focus my teaching on your needs and can help you improve technique, musicianship and sound production. I also can help you get ready for auditions and recitals

Claire has a familiarity about her. She is easy to get to kmow. She is clearly very French but easy to understanding English and has excellent skills as a French tutor. She is a teal teacher who corrects but has a sense of humor.

I would highly recommend her.

We love Tyra. She teaches in a selective high school for the arts, so is used to getting the best out of kids. And I love that she comes to our home!

Hello!

I am a private music instructor specializing in woodwind instruments looking to take on clarinet, flute and saxophone students!

My lessons consist of a well balanced coverage of exercises (scales, note patterns, etudes, duets, major repertoire, etc) geared towards building a solid foundation in playing technique. This allows each student to be accurate and expressive with a sense of ease in their playing! Students of the studio are also thrown into the world of music! They are strongly encouraged to attend concerts, listen to music regularly, and attend masterclasses. The goal is not just to learn an instrument, but to also develop a life-long love and appreciation for music!

I am very proud to say that my students soar through their band and orchestra programs in school and obtain a sound quality/sense of musicality way beyond their grade level! The majority of my students excel past their school music programs! They join youth/honor bands and orchestras, chamber ...
