I have an extensive training in "training" musicians: it doesn't matter if you are young or old, beginner or advanced, I will bring you to the next level. I am a pianist and a music theorist, I am a dedicated and successful teacher. I hold degrees from Conservatorio Santa Cecilia in Italy, Accademia Puccininana, I have a Master in piano performance and am working through my PhD in Music Theory. As you can see, I love to learn. My lessons will take you where you are and bring you a step further. I'll explain you in detail how to reach your goals faster. Sometimes you'll need to work on your own way to learn, on yourself. I'll be always there to help you! Why you should have lesson with me? Simply because I am among the best teachers in the world and I love the idea to reach more students through this medium. And you'll have fun for su
My daughter has been training with Antonella for years and she does wonderful with kids. She loves music and has a passion that will help her students learn music and have fun while doing it

Antonella is an AMAZING teacher. I am an older adult student, with no music theory or background. She is very patient, accommodating, and uses very useful analogies that help me visualize what to do in a way that helps me learn and remember. My own weakness is in making time to diligently practice. I look forward to each lesson, and give her my highest recommendation.

Our experience with Antonella has been wonderful. She has high standards but is also extremely patient with young students. My daughter has learned beautiful technique but more importantly, she has expanded her mind, improved her sense of discipline and commitment and learned to play piano with a feel for the music. Working with Antonella is fantastic for the student and their parent/guardian. It's a joint effort. I highly recommend Antonella
Welcome to my profile! I provide a warm and encouraging environment for students to make the mistakes necessary for learning an instrument and exploring their musical creativity. My passion for music has inspired me to pursue teaching and performance professionally in order to help others achieve their musical dreams.
My ultimate goal is for my students to gain all the skills necessary for creating meaningful musical experiences for themselves. Specifically I try to help them gain clean technique, a pleasing and expressive tone, basic understanding of music theory, and enough knowledge of music history to play with appropriate expression. I try to accomplish these goals by clearly explaining careful and deliberate practice techniques that remove the stress often associated with daily practice. Students will reap the benefits if they a
re committed to a daily practice schedule, are attentive during lessons, ask questions, and are honest with themselves about what is and is not working.
I began my teaching career in college while earning a Bachelor's in Music from Southwestern University (magna cum laude). I currently play as a soloist and with groups including AURORA: Trio for Flute, Harp, and Cello, the Shimmer Flute Choir, and Sounds of Silver Flute Quartet. I am also an active member of the Music Teacher's National Association and volunteer coordinator of the Houston Flute Club.
I love performing and I share my passion for music with my students.
*** Lesson Details ***
***I only teach lessons in my studio or online for certain subjects. I DO NOT TRAVEL TO STUDENTS' HOMES.***
I offer lessons that cover just about every aspect of playing the Western concert flute. Students can expect to become well-rounded musicians who are knowledgeable about flute technique, tone, music theory and history. I use a combination of the Rubank Method and Flute 101 books with handout supplements.
The biggest changes I've seen in my students after a few months is a better understanding of how to practice efficiently as well as improved tone. Furthermore, every year many of my students earn superior ratings of 1 on their UIL solos.
Every Spring my students and I participate in Flute Fest, a day-long celebration of all things flute, including concerts, masterclasses, and a solo and ensemble contest. A few weeks later we have our annual studio recital where everyone shows off their hard work.
A NOTE ABOUT WOODEN FLUTES
Occasionally I am asked to help students play wooden, non-western flutes. Although the very basic fundamentals are the same, I do not play these flutes and do not teach them.
Piano is not only fun to play for its own sake, but provides a foundation for all music making. Students will learn about proper posture and hand-positioning, note-reading, rhythm, and a little history as well, using the Piano Pronto book series.
Music Theory Lessons:
I can help students of any instrument better understand the fundamental concepts of music theory: scales, intervals, chords, part-writing, etc. Theory lessons take place at the piano to demonstrate concepts. However, students do not have to play piano to take theory lessons. I typically use a combination of the Master Theory curriculum and other handouts, unless the student is already working out of another textbook.
**Online theory lessons** use the same curriculum, but with the screen share feature to help my demonstrations.
During the summer I offer additional group classes on different subjects, including theory and ear-training. I try something new every year to provide a variety of opportunities for students to learn and grow in their musicianship.
***Tuition Packages*** I have combined my own policies with TakeLessons'. I consider the Recurring Schedule a Subscription Package, where clients pay the same amount every month, equal to the value of four lessons, regardless of the number of lessons attended. This guarantees a permanent reservation of your time slot. I only allow Schedule-As-You-Go under special circumstances. Please send me a message first if you are unsure about committing to a regular time. I am happy to answer questions about tuition through the Ask A Question feature!
*** Studio Equipment *** My studio is located in the front room of my home and includes a music stand, piano, and comfortable chairs in case parents would like to stay for the lesson.
*** Specialties *** While I teach all aspects of music-making, I give particular focus on rhythmic accuracy (counting and reading rhythms). clean technique, and efficient practice strategies.
I teach piano, composition, music theory, and ear training to students at every level of musical experience (including those who cannot read music). To date I have taught over 100 music students in private, online and classroom settings.
My biggest priority in teaching is to help you reach your specific goals and address your needs! Every student has their own objectives and learns at their own pace, and my job is to ensure that you get exactly what you want out of the lessons. Whether you’re looking to master piano basics, learn your favorite songs or pieces, write your own music, prepare for a theory exam, strengthen your theory skills, or improve your ear, I can help you achieve your goals!
I am available for both in-person and online teaching. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask!
r Piano - I have privately instructed over 30 students in beginner-level piano skills. I can help you master the basics of the instrument, acquire a basic technique, and learn how to read music if necessary. Once the fundamentals are in place, we can cover piano repertoire from a wide variety of styles (jazz, classical, rock, pop, international, etc.), and maybe even learn some of your favorite music and pieces! If you wish, I can supplement lessons with music theory.
Composition and Arrangement - To date I have helped my students write over 20 compositions of widely varying styles and characters. I can help you perfect the art of writing melody, harmony, accompaniment, counterpoint, forms, lyrics, songs, orchestration, or film music! I will provide feedback on your work, as well as instructive musical examples from the past.
Music Theory - I I have taught music theory for 4 years to over 50 students. I can teach you everything from music theory fundamentals (key signatures, scales, major/minor chords, chord analysis) to some of the most advanced topics in undergraduate and graduate musical studies (form, part-writing, counterpoint, advanced harmonic analysis, Schenkerian analysis).
Ear Training - I have taught ear training for 3 years to over 50 students. I am very experienced in assisting students in recognizing and notating everything from single notes and chords to complex passages of music. I have many useful learning materials and know effective methods for achieving aural recognition.
If you have any questions or would like to schedule a lesson, please do not hesitate to contact me!
I have been attending online classes of arranging with Daniel for several months now and all I can say is that he has helped me greatly in progressing towards achieving my musical goals. Not only is he very clever and knowledgeable, but he can also adjust his teaching pace with the student's needs. The material he provided was excellent both from a quality point of view and from an organizational aspect. Overall, Daniel has been a great teacher for me and I am very happy I have found him. Thank you very much Daniel!

Daniel is very knowledgeable and my young one has learned a lot from him. Thanks Daniel!
I am currently working on my undergraduate at Palm Beach Atlantic University for Vocal Performance--specializing in opera. I started performing and studying musical theatre when I was five years old, and in High School, I was a member of the Houston Grand Opera High School Voices Studio. I have been in countless choirs, opera scenes, and musical theatre productions. Since being in college, I have taken diction, language, and vocal literature courses.
My students can expect to improve their vocal and piano techniques every week and maintain their progress. I am interested in helping my students prepare for roles, school shows, competitions, or to have fun.
I am a singer-songwriter, arranger, guitarist, band/chorus/ensemble director, music teacher and consultant with over 50 years experience in the music business. With my university chorus, I sang at the Kennedy Ctr Washington DC & the Lincoln Ctr, NY. I have 3 sold out albums and new material for a triple album that I'm currently in the process of producing. My ensembles play for conventions, conferences, fairs, festivals, school assemblies, and special events. I also bring my music to assisted living, elder & memory care facilities, nursing homes & rehab centers, even prisons.
My style of teaching is holistic, multi-disciplinary, patient, inclusive & fun. I teach singing, guitar, hand drums (and small percussion instruments), ukulele. The practicum comes with theory.

Looking forward to hearing from you. Let's dive in!
Hi guys! I’m super excited to teach on take lessons! I am currently 2 years through receiving my BFA in Musical Theatre at The University of Tampa. I’ve been performing and training for about 15 years and I have been teaching for the last 2 years.
Hi! My name is Anthony but all my friends call me Chris so either one works. I've taken private voice lessons for several years in pop, classical, and musical theatre singing styles, and just want to be able to share the gift of singly freely with everyone. I've sang in musicals, choirs, and with bands.
Lessons will consist of warm-ups to loosen your voice up, technique teaching (which we will use in a song), and exercises to do at home that will build your voice up. I believe in giving my students a good foundation that we can build off of instead of just giving tips and telling my students to "breathe". My goal as a voice teacher is to ingrain good, healthy singing into your muscle memory so that you sing amazingly without even having to think about it.
I'm really excited to get to work with you and I hope to get to know you better
"Dave is great! My daughter loved taking lessons and really expanded her knowledge and interest in the ukelele. Highly recomnended!"
I had no prior musical experience and Jared is excellent at catering to my background while still pushing me with weekly exercises a
nd songs to practice. He makes sure we cover subjects I'm interested in and works out many songs I request to learn as our lesson for the day. He has a wide range of knowledge and is super flexible with scheduling and communication. I'd recommend him to anyone wanting to learn more about their instrument and I look forward to taking more lessons from him!"
"Super kind, patient and teaches a lot in each session!"
"Jonathan is knowledgeable, patient, and I would recommend him as a teacher for anybody of any age."
"I loved taking lessons with Willy. I am only 7, and I am just learning, but am starting to play the Charlie Brown theme song. I can also play a little bit
of Shorten Bread. There's another song too. It's a song that I learned that I really liked, can't remember the words, but it's a good song. I love piano lessons."
"very methodical, had a good approach! we enjoyed learning with him"
"Exceptional pro - highly recommend!"
"Amazing first lesson, picked up right away. I look forward to many more! Thank You!"
"My first lesson went great. Although I am starting from knowing absolutely nothing about playing piano, Sebastian was patient, and did a great job at show
ing and explaining everything so that I could understand."
Playing the drums can be a ton of fun - and it’s certainly a popular instrument to learn, as is clear by the number of drum tutorials you can find online. Like anything else on the Internet, however, you really have to be careful about the sources you’re learning from. It's far too easy to learn things incorrectly, and some bad habits can be very difficult to break! When it comes to drum techniques like your grip, it can be particularly detrimental to learn incorrectly, and may even lead to …
