Taking lessons should be fun! Learn from a professional working musician!
My approach is about getting you playing your favorite songs quickly, and understanding the musical concepts behind what you're playing. You'll learn the concepts and techniques to improve your playing, while learning that new smash hit you cant get out of your head!

Improving one's skills in any area is exhilarating and rewarding, and it happens most quickly when the lessons and homework are paced just right for the student's level. As a teacher, I try to balance time spent on technique and foundation with time on creative, right-brained musical play.
I have experience in jazz, classical, flamenco, funk, Cuban music, pop music, and all kinds of other styles of music. Let me know if you have a particular interest in any genre or even a specific artist you'd like to emulate.
Besides teaching instrument playing techniques, music theory, and improvisation, I also spend time in lessons helping students find their own best practice. I believe it is possible to help students find a level of flow that is unparalleled when they condition themselves to practice with deep presence and awareness of their own state.
It brings me great joy to facilitate the incredible feeling of exhilaration that accompanies improving one's music skills.

Whether singing is your chosen career or just a treasured hobby, my goal is to help you succeed! I offer voice lessons to students of all backgrounds, ages and a variety of styles. I take a healthy, classical vocal approach to encourage freedom, ease and power in the voice. A student of Bel Canto, Alexander Technique and Yoga, I incorporate a full body approach to singing. My students range from amateurs to Broadway talent. I have prepared students to perform on stage, book agents, and to be featured in television and film. My younger students have been accepted into top performing arts programs such as The Professional Performing Arts School, Interlochen Center for the Arts and various conservatory programs.
Lessons are tailored to each individual student but generally begin with a breathing and vocal warm-up, followed by some technical exercises and finishing with a piece of music or several of their choosing. That being said, the lesson can be focused on whatever is important to
