Flute Lessons in Angelica. Amazing Teachers.

I have been a musician for 29yrs. with Alto Sax being my Primary Instrument. Being a Woodwind player I also play Flute, Clarinet, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, and Percussion. I have performed in many large/medium/small venues with many Bands and Ensembles throughout my career. I have also, been a Georgia Certified Teacher, member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity, and member of the Music Educators National Conference for 14yrs. Most recently as an educator in Clayton County I performed with other musicians at a County production of "The Wiz".

The materials I use for my flute lessons usually consists of embouchure exercises, finger exercises, tonguing exercises, and scales, in addition to following the Rubank book series of flute instruction. This well rounded practice regime, if practiced regularly, makes for quick and thorough improvement!

I am a very experienced flute player and teacher with many years of experience. I am currently a senior studying flute performance at the Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University, and I am very understanding and helpful in lessons. I try my hardest to explain things in as many ways to help students learn individually, as every student learns in different styles.

Flute is a joy to play, for those simply looking for a hobby, and for more focused study.

As a music educator I have years of experience teaching privately and in classrooms, for individuals and groups. I craft lessons to the needs and interests of each student, to ensure they are getting the most of our time together. Many of my students enjoy, for example, video game and TV show music - so, these pieces are some of the repertoire we'll work on together. My goals as a teacher are to instill proper playing technique, guide how to shape the music, establish good practice habits, and above all find ways to connect students with the music they're studying. At the end of the day, we play music because it's fun!

I vary students’ lessons with their interests and find the best teaching methods and practices to fit their needs. Because I believe everyone is different and unique. No one can stop you on learning anything but yourself. Therefore, I want students to focus on every lesson and have to practice outside of class which are required and important. Playing music is fun but learning takes time!!

I have a Bachelor's Degree in music. I have more than 9 years of experience teaching students music both as a private instructor. I want to provide you with a supportive environment where you can learn and reach your potential just like I have done in the past with former students. I believe this is crucial in order for learning to happen.
