To whom much is given, much is expected this quote impeccably describes LadySonya, an extraordinary talent in the Music Industry with an aspiration to use her skills to chase her dreams while inspiring others as well. LadySonya currently instructs piano lessons to aspiring music producers/artists as well as major music producers & artists in the industry, LadySonya Music Studio, in Atlanta, Ga. Just after starting the company in March 2008, LadySonya has consulted with numerous celebrity producers/artist such as Fat Boi, Kyron Leslie, Justice League, and others who have worked on tracks from artists such as Usher, Travis Porter, Jody Breeze, Young Money, and more with the assistance of her networking skills and knowledge base structure of Music Theory. Nevertheless, it is her remarkable story of faith, dedication, and sacrifice that has g
enuinely defined the young professional, what lures many to her, and why she remotely continues to build her influential empire as a true business lady.
In 2007, LadySonya, a Georgia Peach native from Columbus, Georgia, and transfer student from Troy University to Georgia State University, began her life shift of miserably working 2-3 part-time jobs to prosper through college. In less than one year of living in Atlanta, LadySonya quit her part-time job as stock for Ross Department Store and decided to follow her dreams of being in the music industry. With no money saved, nothing but a Radio-Shack 76-key keyboard, and one year of college experience, she decided to start her own business of teaching piano lessons. She found a contracted job to teach at Tarang School of Music & Arts, Suwanee, Georgia, and began to make her infamous mark. LadySonya also found various online sites to assist with marketing her newly established company. Many supporters on social media such as face book & twitter began to take notice of LadySonya's swift entrepreneurial progression and in May of 2009 LadySonya held her 1st annual Spring Recital for LadySonya Music Studio Company. The event inspired 75+ guests. Once the company began to bloom more she began to hold recitals twice a year, one in May and the other in December, filling the venue with up to 150+ guest per show. In 2011, LadySonya decided to take her name to the next level by writing her life story testimony of how she went through 7 part-times jobs in one year span along with almost giving up everything to move back to Columbus. During the summer months of 2011 LadySonya organized her very own Network (iNetworkDoYou) to help aspiring entrepreneur/music industry by encouraging them to gain valuable information to help them along the way.
Often mistaken for a fashion model, LadySonya is a celebrity piano instructor, with a lively girl next door attitude. However anyone views her, this young lady is establishing her brand as a music mogul, exercising her inner power to become highly successful.
It is dedication, drive, and determination that lead the role-model LadySonya to reach out to her numerous supporters and fans by creating an Annual Vision Board Extravaganza (2012) to empower others to reach follow their dreams, annually host two music recitals for the students to grow out of being shy musicians, create Lady University Movement to mentor young & older ladies desiring to be leaders, and assemble frequently as a motivational speaker and panelist as a entrepreneur inspirational expert.
Shut Up and Drive is the mental note that pushed LadySonya to the next level to be more than a piano teacher, but a business lady with ongoing dreams of being the next Oprah, with a diva attitude as Beyonce, and musician skills of Alicia Keys. She works day in and day out to build her empire of being a role model- I am LadySonya.
With strong family & spiritual backbone, LadySonya believes her ultimate purpose in life is to indeed inspire others to stay focused. Her alter-ego LadySonya is known to give you that extra boost of confidence and internal drive to set goals and achieve them. However you view LadySonya, as a musician, artist, entrepreneur, model or even social networker, know that she is on top of her business/brand and she's working hard to touch lives like never before with making her dreams come to reality.

*** Lesson Details *** What students can expect from the lesson is "learning".
I am a very relaxed, fun, and motivated teacher. I teach everything from classical to gospel to country to pop music. One thing you will find out from my lessons are you are "learning" rather than "memorizing". Lessons are structured to the students needs. I put my all into the lesson to the last minute or maybe run a minute over but at the end I know I've done my job!
I like to make it fun, so I encourage students to bring in music they would like to learn even if I have to simplify it a bit!
I also try to teach different tricks to learn the theory.
LadySonya is amazing!! I havent played the piano in probably over 10 years, and only played the piano by memorizing music, not truly learning. However, after just my first lesson with LadySonya, I was learning music theory and actually practiced a few songs playing by ear! I've learned more in this one session than I've learned after years of taking lessons. I cant wait to see how far I can go with this!
I have experience performing and teaching many genres of music, including Broadway/musical theatre, jazz, opera, and modern. I will teach correct breathing, support, posture, and help find singers' individual strengths.
Hi! My name is Kristen Reinsch and I am originally from Monterey, CA but am now a Utah native . I am a singer and teacher who loves music more than chocolate and can be found singing in nearly any scenerio! I started my music career in theater at the early age of 8 and haven't stopped singing since. I grew up singing and playing instruments with my family and I encourage my students to do the same. Having been both an instrumentalist and vocalist, I feel it is important to not only know how to sing, but to be able to read music and understand what you are singing. After graduating with a music degree from BYU-I, I feel I have the tools to teach these skills and more. Through my years as a musician, I have come to appreciate many different kinds of music ranging anywhere from Broadway to opera to Jazz, etc. I feel this gives me the a
bility to cater to my student's individual goals as musicians. One of my goals as a teacher is to help you to learn to sing what you love while giving you the correct foundation to build on. Music is supposed to be fun! I believe self confidence is extremely important as a vocalist. "Stage fright" is one of the most common things that holds us back from reaching our full potential. Singing with confidence makes you feel great, and sound even better. Sometimes it is all that's missing from a potentially amazing singer. I have helped many students overcome this road block and emerge filled with confidence and self assurance.
*** Lesson Details *** Did you know that people can hear a smile in your voice? Smiling while singing actually produces a different sound that is pleasant to the ear. I want this experience to be fun for my students. I do, however, believe self discipline is a very important aspect of music. I will encourage students to practice regularly and come prepared to learn. I will usually request that young students bring a recording device so they can take home our lessons and practice. This also allows you to hear how you sound during lessons and reproduce(or improve) that at home. During my lessons, we will cover topics ranging from technical skills, basic singing principles, ear training, sight-reading, to theoretical knowledge. We will also discuss voice maintenance. That said, I feel it's important to get out of the lessons what you want, so I don't have a set curriculum. I tailor each lesson to the student. All in all, I am a patient, fun-loving teacher who will work hard to bring out the very best in all my students. I will neither push too hard nor be too lenient as we strive to reach the goals we have set together.
*** Studio Equipment *** Piano and music books provided
*** Travel Equipment *** I will provide some music for the student. I would prefer that the student have access to a piano and bring a tape recorder and notebook to each lesson.
*** Specialties *** Although I was classically trained and studied opera in college, my younger singing experience largely involved musical theatre. I have always been told I am a natural on stage. I strive to instill that confidence into my students because confidence really is half the battle. I especially love to help students prepare for auditions!
Very sweet and kind. Generous with time. Great teaching technique.

Kristen was a great vocal coach. She was easy to work with and gave me several suggestions for improving my voice. I recommend her to anyone who is trying to improve their singing ability.
With all my students, I emphasize good technique. No matter what genre of music or age of student, singing in a healthful and fun way includes great posture, good breath management, and producing a free and easy sound.I believe that each student has their own unique way of learning, so I tailor my lessons to fit. Immediate feedback and specific practice instructions help my students gain a sense of confidence and assess their progress. Last but not least, singing should be fun!
Instilling and nurturing a love of music and developing musicianship are why I’m a voice teacher. I earned my Master of Music Education degree in 2012 from Boston University, which has furthered my love of teaching and given me even more resources to draw from.

I worked with Michelle for a little over 2 years. As an adult student, I was super nervous about singing in front of anyone - it took me this long to just sign up for lessons! She was patient with me and gave me lots of tools for dealing with my nerves and stage fright. Michelle helped me to choose songs that I not only wanted to sing but that matched my voice and range. I was hesitant about performing in a recital but Michelle pointed out that it was like training for a marathon - doing all the work but not performing just seemed silly. It wasn't perfect but it was definitely something I'm proud to have crossed off my bucket list.
Basics and advanced technique, as well as beautiful expressiveness and beauty in tone and performance.
Kat S., Soprano, has her Bachelor's of Music in Classical Voice, as well as teaching singing lessons in San Jose and Sacramento, CA. The most important aspect of vocal training that I will emphasize is breath support. Connecting to the body when singing will ensure vocal protection and prevent unwanted vocal strain. I will also focus on gaining control through scales and breathing. I would like my students to gain consistency in their lessons each week by providing them with new challenges and helping them to gain new tools when practicing. Applying these fundamental elements of healthy singing into each student's repertoire is the ultimate goal in these lessons.
My name is Christina and I am very passionate about the vocal arts, specifically Opera. Opera was a surprise in my life that I discovered in college. I am now currently pursuing my MM degree in vocal arts at UCLA. The classical technique can provide a great foundation to healthy singing, ensuring a long and healthy vocal life.
Along side opera and other genres of singing, I believe basic knowledge in piano is extremely beneficial in improving musicality and an understanding of each piece. Piano greatly improves sight reading and ones ability to learn music quickly and efficiently. It can allow one to develop an understanding of harmony and context within each unique piece of music.
I would love to help and guide those interested in music, specifically classical voice, opera, musical theater, and piano. I would love to share the gre
at joy it brings me with others and pass down what I have learned over the years. I have completed courses in music pedagogy and education alongside my degree, and believe in shaping my lessons around each individual's learning style so that each student may continue to grow while having fun. Helping each student develop their own unique musical identity is one of the main goals with these lessons.

I enjoyed working with Christina. She was very adept at identifying areas in my vocal skills that could use some improvement and then offered solutions to that end. She also happens to be an extremely talented singer. I definitely recommend her services and look forward to working with her again.
Students will learn techniques for healthy vocal production and work on improving their skills in their desired styles of music.
As a piano and voice instructor, I have taught individual lessons for the past 13 years to students from 5 to 85, beginners to advanced students. I hold Master of Fine Arts degrees in both Collaborative Piano Performance and Vocal Performance from Notre Dame de Namur University. In addition to my private students, I am the vocal coach and accompanist for the Sacramento City College Music Department, Choral Academy Coordinator and accompanist for the Sacramento Children's Chorus, and accompanist for Light Opera Theatre of Sacramento. I also am co-founder and artistic director of the Empire Arts Collective Pop Choir.
Lessons are taught at the Sacramento Preparatory Music Academy. Please note that while piano lessons are offered for students as young as 5, voice lessons are not offered until students are at least 13.
I am an opera and musical theatre performer with years of teaching experience. I offer voice lessons for all genres and abilities, beginning piano lessons, and acting coachings.
I am trained and have experience in opera, musical theatre, pop music, and other genres, and I am eager to teach students of all ages and abilities! I aim to facilitate a positive, enjoyable learning environment that is constructive and productive.
My students have performed in professional and community theatre productions, have won local competitions, and have been invited to national auditions. I have music directed several musicals and summer camps, including Annie and Captain Louie.
I am a recent graduate from the University of Virginia, where I studied music and drama. I have performed operatic and musical theatre roles with several opera companies, including Teatro Nuovo, Victory Hall Opera, Charlottesville Opera, and the Bethesda Summer Music Festival. My performances and studies have taken me across the country, as well as to Italy and France.
I have also worked as a stage director in opera, musical theatre, and theatre stage production. This insight allows me to guide students in their presentation of songs and characters.
I have worked as an educator at several institutions, including Imagination Stage in Bethesda, MD, which specializes in inclusive artistic education. I am passionate about teaching lessons because private instruction allows for a personalized approach that is so necessary in singing.
Each singer's instrument is unique, and I take joy in helping my students find the easiest, healthiest, and most beautiful sounds that they can produce.
My singing lessons are unique because I combine technique with performance, as they are both extremely important and inclusive of the other. I am aware of all genres of music and especially what is current at the moment. I am currently graduating from Berklee College of Music and I attended the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami for three years as a Music Business major with a minor in Contemporary Songwriting. I am a songwriter as well so I am very open and encouraging of students bringing in their own songs, as well as willing to help them with writing. I currently perform, record, and songwrite myself so my students can have a live example of what it means to be a young independent artist in the music business today. Aside from music, I also have been training in film acting and video editing -- all further creative forms of expression that I am here to answer questions for.
Hi! I am a singer/songwriter and actress.
I am graduating from Berklee College of Music, after studying at the Frost School of Music at the University of Miami for 3 years (I majored in Music Business with a minor in song writing).
I just moved back to Miami from living in Los Angeles for 2 years to write and record my EP. During my time in LA, I also furthered my training in acting for film and songwriting. I also shadowed videographers in LA and learned how to film and edit videos, which is why I opened a vlog channel to support my music.
I have been performing ever since I was a child. Some of my most important performances include: performing duets with Phil Collins both in Miami and in Switzerland, singing the National Anthem at the Heat Quarterfinals in 2013, being on THE VOICE in Italy, performing my original songs at a Phil C
ollins foundation in Paris, being the opening act for the United Nation's International Year of Youth in New York City, and performing the National Anthem at the Miami Open.
I speak and sing in 3 languages - English, Spanish, and Italian. I am originally from Rome, Italy.
I am completely aware of all musical genres, and especially what is current at the moment. I encourage students to bring in whatever music they feel is best for them and also challenging. Being a songwriter, I persuade students to bring in their own songs (if they write) so that we can work on the songs and most importantly, performing them. My main goal is that students become great performers, while primarily having mastered their technique for their vocal health and longevity.
"When I first came to Marjorie it was to see if I could start to work on adding some natural vibrato after years of straight-tone choral singing. I was fee
ling very discouraged and worried that maybe I just didn't have any natural vibrato at all.
When the lesson started, one of the first things Marjorie said to me was, "You're not singing straight-tone. I can hear your vibrato in there, but we need to set it free." In just a few more lessons we were already stripping away years of bad habits from choral blending, and I was thrilled to start to feel my vocal chords phonating easily and naturally.
Fast-forward several months and my confidence -- and love for singing -- continue to grow. I'm so amazed with Marjorie's patience and faith in me and just thrilled that she was able to break through 10 years of bad habits and set free my natural sound!"
"I can’t say enough good things about Erica’s coaching. Two years ago, after graduating with a degree in Theatre from NYU, I decided to pursue a singing c
areer and began lessons with Erica. She has helped bring me to a whole new level of performance. I am working more than before as a vocalist and I am so grateful to Erica for helping me develop and maximize my talent through her technique, passion for music and sense of caring."
"I've had 5 lessons so far and Yun has given me great tips and exercises to improve my singing."
"There is so much to say about Danielle and it is all good. She is a great teacher and makes it easy for you to feel comfortable. Singing with her has defi
nitely gave me more confidence and I can tell the difference in my voice since I started. I am so glad to have her as my teacher because she is a great person inside and out. I feel like I am closer to my dream of being a singer because of her. I would definitely recommend her to any and everybody. Danielle is an amazing teacher with a great spirit!!!!!"
"I really liked my first lesson. I learned things that I can’t learn on my own."
"Lee is the whole package, I received a couple of lessons with her and her musical pearls of wisdom stayed with me forever! She is a constant learner. Lee
experience for herself first and then will teach you. Professional, on time and committed to her passion: singing!"
"Eric is an awesome teacher and a well-traveled performer. He helped me brush up on my problem areas and make sure I was tour-ready to sing every night."
"I was more than pleased with my initial singing lesson with Val. He was thorough, patient, and knowledgeable about music and zeroed in on my concerns, ab
ilities, and talent level. I am going to continue lessons with him on an on going basis. Guy, from Chicago"
"Mark is an excellent voice coach! He has been very helpful in teaching me breathing techniques, voice health, understanding my vocal range and how to imp
rove my range. He has made me feel more confident in my abilities and I am looking forward to future lessons.
