Private Singing Teacher
About Carolyn

I earned my degrees in music and elementary education at Southeast Missouri University. I taught music in school for seven years. in 1989 I began teaching only privately . I am constantly aware that the best way for students to learn is a program individually planned for him or her. I love teaching all ages..Through the years I have expanded my lessons to provide performance opportunities for those students who are interested.

*** Lesson Details ***
Each lesson is geared toward that one individual. I am familiar with all the music book publications so I pick and choose from them for each individual student.
Every lesson will be a positive experience with little treats at the end of their lesson. For the students who would like to participate we have recitals at Steinway Piano Gallery every three month.
For the vocal students wh

o would like to participate we do singing performances at Retirement Homes . I have many costumes from which to choose for the characters. Some of our favorite shows are Wizard of Oz, Sound of Music , Disney and Phantom of The Opera.
I Am located in the Crestwood,Webster, Kirkwood, South County area.

*** Studio Equipment ***
In my music studio I have a console Baldwin and a baby grand. I have microphones and audio equipment for practice for voice students. I record all voice lessons that the student takes home to practice.

*** Specialties ***
I design my lessons to fit the student I am teaching. I give certificates for progress. Stickers are given to younger students.
I am open to a wide range of music for piano and voice. My main interest is guiding you to your goals be it simple or accomplished. Whether you want to be more comfortable singing in church or the church choir or wanting to be in musicals or be The American Idol I will guide you in obtaining your goals. The same applies to pianist whether you are leaning for your own pleasure or want to become a professional. I can help you accomplish your goal.

I've just started with Carolyn and have had only 3 lessons. She is very patient and encouraging. I have been singing in church choirs and community choirs most of my life. Just recently, I joined a non audition choral society that performs classical music and more demanding music. I was told that no one wanted to sit beside me because I was singing the wrong notes. If they thought that would deter me, they were wrong. I did drop out of the spring concert because I didn't have much time to improve. I have always wanted to take singing lessons but never created the opportunity. I am determined to learn to sing well and to join the choral society for the Christmas concert. I believe that Carolyn is the teacher who can help me achieve this goal.

Rediscovering piano

After almost 20 years away I'm really enjoying taking piano lessons again. Carolyn has been great about tailoring lessons for an adult beginner, and focusing on the type of music that I want to play. She has also been flexible working with my schedule, something I very much appreciate.

Private Singing Teacher

Experienced voice teacher of 8 years! All ages and abilities are welcome! Lessons are customized and catered to the needs/goals of each student.
I believe singing should be a joyful experience and one that will be a positive change in your life. I teach all genres of music and specialize in audition preparation and vocal dynamics. I want my students to reach their musical potential and aspirations while having a wonderful time! Let's get started!

About Zelina

I am a professional singer and voice teacher. I perform as a lead vocalist with a popular top 40 band in St. Louis and can be seen singing with several other well known bands in the city and region. I graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Jazz Vocal Performance. My versatility, experience and formal training helps me to make the learning experience easy, low stress and fun!

Every voice has a unique timbre; I teach students to release built up tension and apply foundational techniques in order to unlock their own individual sound. I will teach students ear training, and proper breathing and vocal technique as well as to read music and understand music theory if the interest exists. I tailor my approach to the needs of each students individual needs and goals.
I can help any student to sing with more freedom,

confidence, and expression!

Some of the musical styles I regularly teach: Rock, Alternative, Pop, Musical Theatre, Blues, Jazz, Funk, Soul, R&B, Classical.

I look forward to meeting you and helping you to become a better musician!

Classical singing and musical theatre

About Dale

As a performer I have been playing for over fifteen years on the piano. I have received training at Vanguard University where my teacher's were graduates from Juilliard and Yale. I currently accompany the choirs at Desert Ridge Junior High. I have received a Masters in Music from Baylor University and a Doctorate from ASU and currently teach Music at Grand Canyon University. I am a published choral composer, and have had music performed in Europe and Canada.

In August of 2012 I began teaching piano on a part-time basis. My teaching philosophy has always been to make sure the students understand why and not just how to perform something. I emphasize music theory along with piano lessons and expect the students to take the time to practice every week. I have taught children of all ages from 4 to 16 years old.

Private Singing Teacher

Throughout my experience teaching, I have found the most important thing to be finding peace and having fun while singing. In addition, we will work on technique/breathing, and most importantly - finding your voice.

About Shahana

I am a vocalist and songwriter based in Los Angeles, and have experience teaching voice as well as performing and recording.
In lessons (based on your current skill level and experience) we will work on technique - specifically breathing, singing with the least amount of pain and tension, and working on timbre and tone. Lessons will be geared by you- we will work on what you are interested in, and I will give the tools to do so in our lesson, and by yourself when you practice.

*Background check documents available upon request*

I'm a vocalist, pianist, and songwriter with a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in Musical Theatre, and am currently teaching voice and piano to nearly 20 students, of all ages and backgrounds. My versatility, experience and formal training helps me to make the learning experience easy, stress free and fun. I love to gear lessons towards the specific strengths and goals of each student.

While obtaining my Bachelor's degree, I took regular voice lessons from one of the leading vocal pedagogy experts in the world: Mary Saunders Barton. I also studied various aspects of music and performance, such as the art of auditioning, and music theory. I have spent many years performing in professional, regional musical theater productions, and am happy to work on auditions with my students. Curre

ntly, I play gigs regularly in my local area (Philadelphia) and write and record regularly. My songs have been licensed for national/international TV (E!, MTV, PBS, Netflix, and more).

I typically teach my clients either in their own homes (if within 12 miles of me), or online. I can easily accommodate to teach in my own home as well. I have also had background checks completed for the various schools I teach with, and am happy show them to you upon request.

LIa is the right fit for my high school student. My daughter has been taking classic piano lessons since 4 years old. She has been looking for an instructor who will allow her to develop her creative side.

Lia customizes her lessons and has reignited my daughters love of piano.

Thanks, Lia.

Both of my daughters love to sing. We signed up for lessons so they could learn their favorite pop songs; one of my daughters also took piano. They've learned how to hit notes easier and how to properly warm up; Lia is great at finding fun ways to keep them engaged while also still learning. The combination of piano and voice for my youngest has been really valuable. I highly recommend Lia for your lessons!

"Paul is an amazing musician, teacher and individual. Over the course of a few weeks he specifically evaluated my singing and worked with me in order to im
prove my singing. With every lesson that I had, I was able to notice real improvement in my voice. Paul also exposed me to a wide array of musical styles, in order to better get to know my voice which I thoroughly enjoyed. He is very encouraging and friendly, from the first lesson he already works to help you feel comfortable.

All in all, by having Paul as an instructor you get to learn from an amazing, accomplished musician who truly knows his field and who also has a great personality while being a great teacher, I think that sums it up pretty well."
