I was raised in a musical household: My mother is a voice teacher with students performing at the top opera houses and on broadway and tours, and my father is a pianist and conductor. I have a lifetime of knowledge to impart to you, and years of teaching experience. I did a teaching fellowship with renowned voice teacher and dramatic soprano (Lyric Opera Chicago, Metropolitan Opera, Vienna Staatsoper) Alexandra LoBianco. Mary Elizabeth D is a New York City based musical theater actress and honor graduate from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor of Music degree in Musical Theater. She has 10 years of performance and vocal technique training and was most recently seen as Philia in Pittsburgh Public Theater’s production of A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. Miss D has performed in leading roles in twelve productions and toured nationally. Some favorite roles include Belle in Beauty and the Beast, Cosette in Les Miserable, Luisa in The Fantasticks, and Cinderella in Into the Woods.

The Ultimate goal is to get your Technique working so well for you that you don't have to think about it, it begins to happen automatically. Ive been teaching voice privately over the last 5 years, and doing vocal workshops as well.

I have been teaching this subject for over 10 years. I have a Doctorate of Musical Arts degree in Vocal Performance and a minor in Vocal Pedagogy. My students can expect vocal technique through warmups, appropriate repertoire selection, language guidance, and an integration of singing and acting (performance skill) appropriate for auditions. We will work on consistency of resonance, intonation, breath, and interpretation.
