Classic singing technique and performance skills are at the heart of what I teach. Lessons start with exercises to help you learn how to take deep natura breaths and use your diaphragm to support your voice so you can sing on pitch. A series of vocal exercises help develop quality of your voice and increase your resonance and range which makes it easier to hit those high notes. You will also learn how to sing with expression, letting your heart touch the hearts of the audience. As your singing technique develops you will build a repertoire of music that you can perform in any style that you like that like.

Hi there! I am a professional vocalist, pianist, composer, and recording artist with a Bachelor's degree in jazz voice from the University of North Texas. I firmly believe that learning more about music should be a fun, nurturing, and open-minded process. My primary goal as a teacher is to help aspiring musicians to find what makes them excited to create more and improve at their craft!

Each lesson I teach is custom and unique, using a flexible curriculum that is created just for you! I incorporate many elements into my lessons, including healthy vocal technique, songwriting, improvisation, piano, music theory, and music notation software. Whatever you're interested in, let's explore it!

I have an extensive background in classical, jazz, pop, and country styles as a vocalist and songwriter. I also offer piano and theory lessons.

I'm a singer/actress/dancer and I started teaching because it brings me great joy to help students -- quite literally -- find their voices! I teach the pop, broadway, and classical techniques and place a large emphasis on musicality.

Typically in a lesson, I'll start off with technique warm-ups, and then we'll work on a song of your choice. Even if you have no plans to perform the song any time soon, I've come to understand that working on pure technique alone will only get you so far - in order to sing well, you must first... sing!

We can work on the same song for as long as there are improvements to be made and lessons to be learned. On that note, I am by no means a pianist... I play a bit, but don't usually do so during voice lessons. I prefer to focus on YOU and not the piano with which I might've tried to accompany you :)
