Each lesson is uniquely tailored for the specific needs of the student and I want each lesson to be fun! It is always important to remember music is fun not scary. I like to go through breathing techniques and vocal warm ups every lesson. After we do exercises I like to have the student practice a song of choice. The student and I usually come together to find a goal for the student to work towards each lesson and actively work towards this goal each time we meet.

After Teaching voice for the past few years it's clear that one thing is universal no matter what kind of singer you are: It takes an impressive amount of courage and self awareness to be heard through song. The Voice is one of the highest form of emotional expression, taking the whole body; as the whole body is the instrument. In these lessons we will focus on breath, bring attention to tension, support, and placement of the voice. Giving you the freedom to be heard. I'm excited to work together with you to find your voice.
"The best singers are relaxed in performance. That is they have no extraneous tension. Their muscles are ready to receive the impulse necessary to fulfill action and will ripple with energy."

Over the past 12 years, we've given over 3,000,000 lessons to happy customers around the world.

Her passion for teaching singing is evident within the first few minutes of the first lesson, and her empathy toward inexperienced singers shines through as she communicates difficult to grasp concepts – such as sound placement and moving through registers – in a variety of ways until she finds one that clicks with the student in front of her.
In my lessons with her, Stephanie guided me through material that was challenging and at times frustrating for me, but her effervescent personality and energetic approach create a fun and casual environment, which I found to be conducive to developing awareness of the subtitles of singing.
Over the course of five weekly lessons with Stephanie, I feel I’ve made more progress than I have over the past two years studying on my own with the help of vocal instruction books, videos, and CDs.
I highly recommend Stephanie as your vocal coach."

Thanks Cara!"

One of the funniest memories I have of my first choir experience was learning how to hum in a choir. I thought it was a little ridiculous as a 4th grader because I thought I already knew how to hum, since I was doing it all the time. However, your casual humming while you work a-la Snow White (for those of us who prefer it over whistling) is in fact, completely different from humming as an actual singer. See, my beloved chorus teacher had us open our mouths as wide as we could, and then clos …
