I am an accomplished vocal coach and songwriter and currently work with a wide variety of singers from young beginners to professionals who look to develop through ear training, singing and songwriting. In a unique way I guide people to become better performers and musicians through the combination of voice, piano and composition. I also work with pianists and guitarists to help them use their instruments for better singing and ear training.

Hello Singers in the making!
This class will help you improve, or learn, proper singing techniques; which will help you create your own beautiful, unique sound.
We will base the curriculum off of what your current level is.
- Your music is FREE, you will never need to purchase any sheet music when you are my student. I will make sure to get you a PDF of any music we work on.
- You will gain knowledge of the vocal anatomy; to use your instrument you must know how it works. So many people try to sing and they think they are bad singers, or believe they cannot sing. The fact is, you cannot sing properly unless you understand the structure of the anatomy that creates your sound. (To sing without knowing how your vocal folds, resonators, and lungs work would be like getting in a car and never being told what any of the gears do. It would be like baking without being told the ingredients.) You cannot "wing it", you have to know "how" in order to create a beautiful sound.

Singing can be healthy, exciting, effortless-feeling, and cathartic all at the same time. Our one-on-one lessons link student goals with positive outcomes by developing understanding of healthy vocal habits, production, and presentation of repertoire that fits and flatters the voice. Areas of study include classical, music theatre, folk, and rock/pop.

All students will have the opportunity to perform on studio recitals.

I am a professional soloist. I sing primarily Gaelic/Irish & classical and lead singer as well as sang in various choirs (my college choir at RCC, Riverside Master Chorale, and many church choirs). I'm an Irish tenor that performs Celtic/Gaelic (e.g. John McCormack ballads) performances. I'm also Americana (e.g. Stephen Foster songs) tenor singer. In California I also was music therapist vocalist for Kaiser Riverside Medical Center, Kaiser Moreno Valley Hospital, and funerals. Advanced voice I use Robert Merrill method.

Our voice is one of many ways to communicate, it is a gift and an amazing gift at that. Our voice can be used to communicate, interact, teach, tell a story, display how we feel, transport people’s hearts to another place or time; to name a few.
Being able to sing is one thing but to also be able to perform and have your audience receive you well takes skills and training. I will help you engage with your audience while you display your art through your voice.

Every lesson is for YOU. The time we spend together is time for you to explore your voice, your goals, and desires within music. I specialize in beginner/intermediate singers looking to expand their voice, repertoire, and love of singing. No lesson will be the same, and every lesson will be a shared experience in which we learn how your voice works, and how it feels.

Lessons include, but are not limited too, repertoire exploration, music theory, range expansion, vocal pedagogy/vocal anatomy, performance preparation, character coaching .....and much more.
