I have been a professional singer since 1983 and have taught since 1986. I studied voice and trained classically from 1972 - 1982. Several of my students have been professional singers, from rock to opera. I teach the individual to understand the technicalities of the vocal instrument; how to breathe correctly, understand the internal acoustics and how to access them, how to project healthily, how to relax and get out of the way of using your instrument, and so much more. This is not your typical voice curriculum, but even more essential if you want to keep your voice in top form all your life. At 67, I can sing with or without amplification for several hours a day indefinitely because I have mastered the techniques I will teach you.
About Barbara

To be able to sing smoothly from your lowest note to your highest note regardless of how you feel is one of the many skills you gain from good vocal technique. Whether the high notes are challenging for you or the lower notes are challenging, singing on pitch, vocal strength or vocal consistency is an issue this can all be fixed with proper and healthy vocal technique. What I teach works quickly students usually hear of feel a difference on their first lesson.
Sounding good when you sing is not the only important part to a long singing career. To be able to do what you love throughout your life it is important to sing in a healthy way also. To be able to sing when you are healthy and rested is easy to some people however singing when you are tired, sick, stressed, fatigued or you have just stained your voice is another matter. Good vocal technique gives you the tools to sing in whatever physical shape your body is in. If you have vocal problems such as soft or hard nodules, pre or ...

Hello! I'm Carolyn Smith and I love being involved in my students progress. Helping my students find their true voice and helping them build power, versatiity, strength, and range is very exciting With all my singers I teach from an understanding of how the voice works and help my students to understand their voice. With this approach to vocal technique my students are able to sing in all major styles including musical theater, rock, pop, and classical literature. I am a very supportive and patient teacher and encourage my students to explore their voice while helping them maintain healthy vocal habits to avoid straining and abuse. When teaching singing, I especially enjoy diagnosing any problems with the voice and working together to solve them.
Since 1988, I have been teaching voice to individuals and groups in my private studio. I have a masters degree in vocal music and drama and a bachelor's degree in vocal music from the prestigious School of Music at University of North ...

Hello! It's a pleasure to 'meet' you. I'm David and I've been teaching voice since 1988 from the college level all they way down to little kids! My main goal is to see you singing songs you love, using great vocal technique. I am very supportive and work with beginners through advanced students. Your outcome from lessons with me will be having vocal freedom and confidence in what you are doing. And it will be fun along the way.
Jazz is my specialty (I work constantly as a professional singer in this field), but I am comfortable in musical theatre, 'Classical' and pop/R&B. I am also an expert with young voices (and it's important, because they're different).
Ready to shine? Let's get started!

I've been working with Fawn for 8 months now. When I first started working with her, I was continually off pitch, as in almost tone deaf but she was able to COMPLETELY change that by my 3rd lesson. Now I know exactly how to be on pitch all the time now with her creative vocal inventions & vocal exercisesâ¦itâs been one grand accomplishment every lesson, ever since. :)
The speed & proficiency that she works at amazes me & by this I mean, her techniques work IMMEDIATELY & she works extraordinarily FAST! I have made huge progress that my friends, family & choir teacher have all told me that they canât even believe it because they actually thought I would never be able to sing & sound good & one of the things I noticed that made such a difference for me was that Fawn always treats me as if Iâm already where I want to be & I think this belief in me rubbed off. She always gives me lots of encouragement & tells me to think positive & focus on how far I have come & to build on that. She gives me a lot of homefun (as she calls it) to do, which has made me a better singer & I donât have breaks in my voice any more. Iâm becoming the best singer that I can be."

Her knowledge of music is very good and her singing voice is excellent. I sang for her, got her input and sang again only better the second time around. She liked the way I sounded and has told me I am a tenor."

If you're looking to teach yourself to sing on key, it's important to remember that it has as much - if not more - to do with training your ear as it does with training your voice. And since we can't hear ourselves sing accurately, we need recording equipment or another trusted pair of ears to check our results. With the advent of smartphones and tablets, tools that will help you teach yourself to sing on key are now readily available alongside more traditional methods. Here are five methods y …
