It is important to have teacher, student, and parents work together to see the accomplishments happen in the future. I make the lessons meaningful, so that my student can retain the information and practice effectively at home. My ultimate goal is to have my student think critically and listen carefully, so that they can become their own teacher.
I started playing the violin when I was 12 years old. Some of my notable teachers include: Ricardo Cyncynates, Rochelle Abramson, Guido Lamell, and Tatiana Chulochnikova. I enjoyed playing in the summer music camp at Interlochen and Curtis Institute of Music Summerfest for Adults. I performed as a m

I have never met a person who regretted taking piano lessons!
Piano lessons are an excellent way to engage all parts of your brain while having fun.
My lessons include: note reading, technique, music theory, ear training, and musicianship.
Although I can teach a variety of genres, my specialty is in classical music.
Hello! My name is Ivan. I am a classically trained pianist. I have been playing the piano for 17 years and have been teaching for 5 years. I like to give my students the opportunity to not only progress in skill, but also enjoy what they are learning! My lessons focus on 5 things: - note rea
Ivan is passionate about music. His love for the art is evident in his enthusiastic and energetic teaching techniques. He is exceedingly patient with all students, encourages them, and coaxes the very best effort from each one. Although he is one of the best music teachers in the zone, his prices are extremely reasonable. In my opinion, he is worth every penny he charges, and I certainly believe I have received excellent service for my money.
It is my great pleasure to recommend Ivan Shallal as a music teacher. I am tremendously grateful to him for everything he has taught my daughter.

As a black woman , I am adamant on breaking stereotypes in the industry aimed towards black dancers. Yet at the same time, I find it important to broadcast the art of what we are also capable of creating when given our own safe spaces. African contemporary is a genre that showcases the technique of an individual yet the overall need for rhythm. My classes will brush on the foundations of technique. Finding your best turn out, the difference between pushing your body and forcing it, injury prevention, etc. Combining my current studies of physical therapy with my forever evolving love and training for dance, we BOTH will be learning our own bodies, what it needs, how we look doing certain movements, and how to do it WELL !
A college student who has been dancing as soon as she could walk ! I'm so excited to break barriers and teach you ! When you learn, I do too ! Get with the winning team ! We build confidence, prevent injuries, and learn our bodies on this side .

Piano Lessons with me will cover the core and fundamentals of playing but I allow my students the authority to learn music and songs that they enjoy to ensure the lessons remain fun and entertaining. I want people to always learn the basics to lay the foundation but what propelled me to a higher level was always making sure to have fun as I progressed in my playing.

Ayme was an awesome teacher! I learned all the basics and a few full songs in a very short time. Also, her music and artist knowledge is amazing. She introduced me to so many cool artists and songs I had never heard of. Ayme rocks!!"
I've had a block with music theory & soloing for years. In our very first lesson, Aaron helped me gain new perspective on the fretboard, and in the week that followed I had a major soloing breakthrough!
He really takes the time to go slow and make sure I'm understanding each concept, and theory is finally starting to make sense to me. And even though we're "going slow," when I look over our lesson notes, I'm always surprised at how much we've accomplished. This guy is a treasure trove of knowledge and encouragement.
I appreciate Aaron's skill in both playing and teaching, and I look forward to many more lessons this year."

Students often ask about the difference between major and minor. These terms have two applications in music theory. One use relates to chords (harmony). A second use relates to scales (modes). Both are related. To understand these concepts deeper, you have to first understand intervals. An interval is the space between two notes. Intervals help to define the relationship and interaction between notes. This also includes the formation of chords. Third Intervals The smallest inter …

Proper posture is essential for good violin playing. Standing or sitting up straight not only improves tone production and control, but it also prevents injury and discomfort. Many violin players, however, struggle with their posture, which can lead to poor technique and cause both short and long term injuries. Not to mention you'll end up looking like Quasimodo. Poor posture can be a result of many things, such as sitting or standing without interruption for long periods of time, lack …
