"Awesome Teacher, Very Professional, Super Knowledgeable
I was lucky to have Scott as my first guitar teacher. He took me from a beginner to an advanced g
uitarist. He is very knowledgeable and makes playing guitar fun, but also challenging. So, if you are serious about becoming a guitarist and or musician Scott is your instructor."

"Wonderful All Around
Jill Good is an amazing music teacher for all ages and can connect with any student on both an intellectual and personal level. I wo
rk for Gradoux-Matt Rare Violins LLC and can absolutely assure that the first music teacher we recommend is Jill Good. I've seen her students' recitals and have been astonished at the progress each student shows from one performance to the next. I started playing the violin at age 4 and while I have loved all my teachers, I still wish I had someone as brilliant as Jill instructing me. For any age, Jill Good is perfection."

"supportive and encouraging
I found Zach through 'take lessons' after my daughter had a few years with an intense classical pianist. I want my daughter to
have fun and appreciate music and not feel the intense pressure she was feeling with our previous instructor. Zach was the perfect choice. My daughter loves her lessons. Zach does take time off for his professional endevors. Good for him. He has always let us know and connected with us when he returns."

"my kind of teacher
initially, I was reluctant about entering into the program. I thought the traditional mode of instruction always the best. it all chan
ged when I wanted to try learning the more unconventional way. it was an experience having Wilma for my teacher in Singing. she has way of making lessons so easy to learn. I admire her for the patience and for adjusting to my level as a beginner. seldom people find teacher who has the proficiency to make hard lessons understandable and easier. more so I like her style developing a more open teacher-student relationship where I feel free asking questions and clarifications pertaining to matters no clear to me as a student I felt her passion to her craft. all in all I cannot question her credibility as a music teacher especially in the area of singing which happens to be my interest. I loved the manner she presented the lessons. she made them adaptable to the situations. It was really an experience having her for my music teacher. my perspective has changed. though I started on a very low note, she made the lessons so interesting to look and study at. here is hoping I would still have better chances learning especially the voice lessons and with her as my coach, then, I fervently believe it is possible."

"Steve is an excellent teacher
My son is 7 and taking piano lessons for the first time. I expected him to lose interest pretty quickly, but he absolutely
loves it! In large part due to Steve - he is very patient and let's him learn at his own pace...no pressure. He brings songs to play that my son actually knows so he stays more engaged in interested. He really goes the extra mile to show that he cares and to keep it fun. Steve has been very easy for me to work with as well. He is always very flexible and is always on time and very professional. I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn the piano."

"Professional, Effective, and Challenging Lessons
Wendy is probably the most professional and talented voice teacher I have worked with in my time singing
. She was able to quickly diagnose and help me begin to address difficulties I was having, but was also very proactive in helping me find repetoire that I enjoyed and that meshed well with my voice and my musical interests. She is extremely knowledgeable about the mechanics of singing, as well as the interpretation of song, and really challenged me to think through my singing in a way I hadn't before. Thanks!"

Marie is wonderful. I worked with her while she lived in Florida. I went to her as a beginner with voice, never having sung before. She made le
arning enjoyable and I achieved my goal of singing with my music major wife on her recital!
I never thought music could be so much fun to learn and didn't think I could really sing but Marie showed me how to sing the best I could."
My name is Alex, and my passion is teaching music. I offer clients a unique learning experience with customized lesson plans and personalized attention to fit your exact goals and needs. These aren’t just words to me…they are a commitment I make to everyone that I have the pleasure of working with.
Here’s who I am…
I earned a Bachelor's of Music from Berklee College of Music where I studied Bass Performance and Composition. I have years of experience playing upright and electric bass in many styles such as rock, jazz, orchestral, and big band. I’ve studied a variety of instruments ov
er the last 20 years including guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and piano.
Here’s what I can do for you…
I will give you my full attention and unyielding patience with each and every lesson. Together we will explore the principals of music that will enable you to learn to play in any style you choose to study. Ultimately my job is not to teach you to play, but to show you how to teach yourself. I will arm you with a thorough understanding of technique and theory.
I love working with kids and adults. I love brand new players with no experience as well as seasoned players who just want to fill in some gaps in their knowledge. Whatever your age, and wherever you’re at with your playing, I hope you will give me the chance to help you have more fun and confidence in music.
Every player I work with gets access to a personal online Lesson Journal where you can see my notes from our lessons, do homework from your “Stuff to work on” lists, and access my entire digital library! Every lesson is designed just for you.
Let’s get started…
You can take lessons at my studio, in your home, or online via Skype.
For lessons in my studio, I can provide instruments and amplifiers for both of us.
There is ample seating for parents to sit in on lessons. Parking is available in the driveway.
You’re going to love your lessons! -Alex

I tried taking lessons about two years ago from another instructor and I took one and never went back. I cannot say enough about Alex. He is an excellent instructor! I am a Veteran and have issues with learning new concepts, etc. Alex is able to work with me and is very kind and respectful. He definitely hands up is the best I have ever worked with including when I played in the high school band many years ago! I highly recommend him if you are looking to expand your horizons or just getting started again like me!

I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and hopefully for a lot longer! I began as a blues player in the south and over time studied jazz, classical and of course rock n roll. I have over 11 years experience as a guitar instructor in music schools and private lessons. I have taught over 200 students from ages 6-65. I consider myself a guitar instructor not a teacher. I instruct you on how to teach yourself the guitar. A mere guide so that you can keep learning this great instrument long after the last lesson ends. I graduated from Atlanta Institute Of Music in 2002 and have toured around
the country as well as scored for film and studio session work. Lets ROCK!
*** Lesson Details *** I am like a musical Yoda. :) I have an innovative teaching style that I have honed over 11 years of working with students of all ages, backgrounds and most importantly learning methods. Everyone receives information differently. Some audibly. Some visually and some strictly by hands on doing. My methods are based upon your learning style so that I can optimally convey the lesson information. I can guarantee with your dedication you will progress farther with my lessons in just a few months than you have in years! I teach Rock, Blues, Pop, Jazz from scales, reading, theory, and ear training to straight up rocking your favorite songs. Whether you are a beginner or a advanced player looking to get out of that rut. Lets begin your journey!
*** Travel Equipment *** I provide books only. They must have guitars and amps.
*** Specialties *** Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Rock, Blues, Jazz and some classical.

I enjoyed it!
I took lessons with Russ in Atlanta GA and really enjoyed myself! His professionalism was awesome and also was a very friendly and accessable instructor. We became great friends and to this day, I credit him with helping me develop the passion I now have for the instrument. Russ was never late and always encouraged me to become not only a better player, but all around performer and person. I would highly recommend him as a teacher for any age and any gender!
My name is David, and I am a music teacher of many different subjects. These include guitar, piano, bass, ukulele, recording, music theory, production, composition and film music composition.
All styles, and all ages. Classical, Rock, Alternative, Blues, Jazz, and more!
I have a Masters Degree in music from The University of Melbourne in Australia, as well as having the distinction of a Bachelors Degree in Music from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. I am one of the 16% of people who attended Cornish that actually graduated from their school.
Many times a student w
ill come to me after having been with another teacher for some time,.. they express to me that the other instructor did not teach them what they wanted to learn, nor did they achieve the result that they wanted. The instructor perhaps had them mired in endless exercises and studies that were great to get you ready to play music, but perhaps was not music in and of itself. I find that when I get right down to the nitty gritty of playing, and show my students a song they love and know, and get them playing their instrument, by the end of the session that they are usually thrilled and excited. In the end it makes them work harder and practice long because THEY ARE PLAYING MUSIC ON THE THEIR INSTRUMENT!!!
Certainly exercises are of paramount importance, but when you can make that connection with a student and help them to relate to the guitar the exercises are ultimately easier to them, and the experience of playing guitar an enjoyable and less alienating task.
Grab your guitar and start today!! Let's get you playing TODAY!!!!
"I am very happy with my decision to take lessons with David. In just 2 months I've gone from strumming some chords to understanding picking patterns, learning how to put together an entire song, and expanding my techniques. I am very surprised at how much technical skill I have been able to pick up in such a short period of time"

"I'm 46 years old and my only known talent is for overcomplicating things. I've always admired a good guitar player and wanted to learn to play myself--who doesn't?--but felt I didn't have the talent or just "couldn't do it." Then I found David Jaedyn C. and he said, 'Oh yes you can. Commit to 4 lessons up front and you'll see that you can.' I took the leap and sure enough, he had me playing blues riffs in less than one month. All I had to do was listen and do as he instructed me to and it all comes very naturally. There's no stress, just a whole lot of fun! If you're like me and you thought you couldn't play guitar, start with David and just have some fun with it. It's simple. You won't want to put the guitar down again!"
Dan DuBeau, Tacoma
I had been playing guitar for about 5 years and had only been self taught. I found myself completely stuck playing the same chords and not able to play riffs or solos at all. In my first lesson I was playing the blues with slides and hammer ons and pull offs. In a couple of lessons he had me soloing in different keys and playing riffs from guitar gods! He was able to teach me in a couple lessons what took me years trying to teach myself! He makes lessons so much fun because not only are you learning the music theory but he relates it to popular songs that you can practice along with. He also has so much knowledge in other aspects as well. He can teach you about music gear and amps or help you compose your own music. He caters to your style and taste in music and can teach you ANYTHING!
I love guitar period, but it's overtly frustrating when you have no idea where to start, or how to play at all. I went through multiple guitar instructors trying to learn how to play and each of them weren't very specific, or didn't hone in on any one thing at a time so you could really start to get it down and process it. Then we happened to find David, and he was really what we were looking for. I started picking up chords like no other, It helped, and is helping tremendously. He goes into depth about the song, letting you comprehend it a little more, and ultimately learning it quicker and better.

I have had 4 different Blues guitar Teacher in the last 6 months, getting nowhere as far as really playing some Blues until I ran across David. The other teachers just wanted me to learn the pentatonic scales, Major and Minor. That took a lot of boring weeks and I am sure I will need to know those scales but I just wanted someone to show / teach me Blues chords, related to Blues songs and the timing to the chord changes so I could start playing some kind of Blues. I have had 6 one hour lessons so far with David and I am playing the Blues. The first 4 hours Dave showed me a E, A, B7 blues chord progression with some step up and step down notes. The 2nd 2 hours Dave showed me a A, D9, A7,E9 Blues chords and Blues timing with slides.
I take one hour Lessons every Thursday and in 6 hours I am playing the Blues. I picked up the guitar about 6 months ago, started teaching myself and not really getting anywhere. I am not a fast learner, about average in learning something new. Now I set a home Learning my guitar and polishing the Blues songs that David has taught me, starting to get FUN.
Les Fairley Tacoma, Wa.
Working with David has made me focus on areas of my chops that needed fine tuning. He provides the basic exercises and tools that, when practiced enough in a zen-like manner, clarifies your understanding of movement on the fret board, and makes you sound a bit more professional. Questions regarding speed, theory, notation, composition, and even string size, are ready for answer with David, which is what keeps me working with him. From begining, to intermediate, to professional levels, if you're looking to improve your chops, Dave's your guy.
Frank Lorenzo, Seattle WA
I had tried many different instructors and had become very frustrated with trying to learn guitar. Within one lesson David had me playing ACDC and RUSH! David just has a way of explaining things so that they make sense and doesn't waste any time getting right down to the nuts and bolts of guitar. A lot of other instructors spend alot of time getting you 'ready' to play guitar, but with David we got down to playing guitar right away!

David tailors each lesson dynamically to my own progression which has been great. Gauges progression and gives you things to work on before the next lesson. Highly recommend him!

Hi! My name is Allison and I'm an opera singer. I fell madly in love with music and singing as a young child and was bitten by the opera bug at age 15. Ever since seeing that first opera, I've never looked back. I did lead roles in my high school musicals, then got my Bachelor of Music and my Master of Music degrees in Classical Voice and Opera Performance both from competitive conservatories. Ever since graduation, I've been lucky enough to make my work as a professional singer. I've traveled all over the country and even internationally bringing this amazing art form to audiences. Now
I feel like my dream has come true because I get to do what I love: sing! Pavarotti said, "I think a life in music is a life beautifully spent and this is what I have devoted my life to." I feel so lucky to have a life in music and now I want to share everything I've learned with you.
Students of mine regularly are chosen for lead roles in school and extracurricular musicals and operas and score very high in school music evaluations.
*** Lesson Details *** During a voice lesson with me, we'll warm up and do vocal exercises for the first half, then we'll learn new music together or work on music you've already learned. I teach lyric diction of all of these languages and the styles of each composer. Above all, lessons with me are relaxed and really fun!
*** Studio Equipment *** Music room w/ electronic piano and seating for parents
*** Specialties *** I specialize in Classical Vocal Technique. I feel very comfortable assigning repertoire of any difficulty and I am especially confident in my lyric diction knowledge of Italian, French, German, and English. I can teach audition preparation and audition technique, as well as acting and stage technique for singers.

If you want a real professional that draws out the best in you and helps you to rise to the challenge than pick Allison. I was extremely nervous and worried, it was my first real singing lesson, she made me feel comfortable and relaxed immediately. She can be fun as well as challenging. It was a wonderful pleasure to take classes with her and I hope to continue in the future.

Allison was able to identify my natural vocal range in the first lesson. Never thought that I would be comfortable singing in the soprano range, but she has given me week by week goals to build vocal technique and help me see my progress. She has an outgoing and enthusiastic personality! Lessons are a pleasure.

I can teach you to be a great singer in any style (Jazz, Pop, Rock, Musical Theater, Operatic, etc...). We will build a repertoire that is appropriate for your age, voice type, and ability. Over time you will gain greater control, endurance, range, and confidence.

A fantastic instructor who helped me grow as a singer.
Terry June 22, 2016
I play an instrument and wanted to improve my singing abilities while playing an instrument. It was amazing how much easier this became to sing as she taught me proper vocal technic. Not only does my voice sound better. But I also feel less vocal chord fatigue and able to sing more at one time
In addition to all that she helped me to improve my ability to sing and play my instrument at the same time
I highly recommend Rachelle no mater what your singing level.

How to Tune Your Violin: Online Violin Tuners & Resources
