"Classical guitar lessons with David
Off and on since my 20s I've fooled around with guitar lessons but never lasted very long. I am 62 now. I relayed thi
s to David and he laid out an organized plan for systematic improvement. But he was very honest with me about the importance of good practice habits. I've been with him almost 5 months and showing progress. His enthusiasm and patience is appreciated. Thanks, Dave."

"Blake deserves more than 5 stars, like 19 stars or more!! We drive an hour to get to Blake because it's worth the investment to learn from the best. Yes
, we drive an hour up to SEVERAL TIMES A WEEK, because it is worth it!!
Besides Blake makes lessons so affordable, it only makes sense to get the BEST instruction for WAY more reasonable rates!! If we had kids, they would all go to Blake, because it is so important to TRUST your instructor, and it is a blessing to have someone with CHARACTER (moral/ethical) that you can trust with your child - he is a husband and father of SEVEN kids, so of course it just MAKES SENSE to send your kids here, he just knows what he is doing, thank goodness!!
Also, it is so EASY to have a 'one-stop-shopping' experience here. We do guitar, voice lessons, piano, ensemble work, etc. etc. etc. If your kid turns out to be totally GENIUS and starts writing his or her own songs, Blake actually has a RECORDING STUDIO right here, so you won't ever have the headache of trying to find someone else (who would probably be not as good and way more expensive anyway).
Yay, Blake!! We both agree he really cares about his students and wants to make an investment in their growth. If you are serious about wanting to learn music and are committed to practicing, you will have fun and learn a TON with Blake. Just go for it because it is so worth it!
Sometimes you just stumble across a blessing and have to thank your lucky stars that it's a complete no-brainer. If you have been one of the blessed ones that is stumbling upon this by 'accident,' believe us... it is no accident. God has just smiled down upon you... so thank Him, be grateful and sign up for classes before they are all full!! Your kids will thank you and think you are the BEST PARENT EVER!!"

"I can't say enough about Dan- He is patient, knowledgeable and fun!
Dan is a musical wonder! His bass technique is flawless in any genre, and he is calm
and patient, with a great sense of humor. He can also teach music theory and improv. If you want to really understand what you are doing, and love it, make Dan your teacher and mentor.....you will be glad you did!"

"Taylor is an incredible teacher. He is very educated in the art of singing, and knows exactly what you need to do to better your voice and sing to your fu
llest potential. He's a very down to earth person, which really allows you to feel comfortable during the lessons and get the most out of them. He has a strong understanding of the anatomy of the human voice and the underlying concepts of what truly makes a good singer. I've never met someone so talented at not only improving one's singing voice dramatically, but helping you to understand why and how it's improving. I have seen steady progress each week throughout my work with Taylor. I couldn't have asked for a better teacher!"

"I've worked with and learned from Brett for many years, and it has always been a pleasure. He has a unique and creative approach to music and it is clear
that he is extremely experienced and knowledgeable. Studying with him is fun, relaxed, and rewarding, and I would recommend him to anyone interested in pursuing music as a career or a hobby."
My name is Alex, and my passion is teaching music. I offer clients a unique learning experience with customized lesson plans and personalized attention to fit your exact goals and needs. These aren’t just words to me…they are a commitment I make to everyone that I have the pleasure of working with.
Here’s who I am…
I earned a Bachelor's of Music from Berklee College of Music where I studied Bass Performance and Composition. I have years of experience playing upright and electric bass in many styles such as rock, jazz, orchestral, and big band. I’ve studied a variety of instruments ov
er the last 20 years including guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, and piano.
Here’s what I can do for you…
I will give you my full attention and unyielding patience with each and every lesson. Together we will explore the principals of music that will enable you to learn to play in any style you choose to study. Ultimately my job is not to teach you to play, but to show you how to teach yourself. I will arm you with a thorough understanding of technique and theory.
I love working with kids and adults. I love brand new players with no experience as well as seasoned players who just want to fill in some gaps in their knowledge. Whatever your age, and wherever you’re at with your playing, I hope you will give me the chance to help you have more fun and confidence in music.
Every player I work with gets access to a personal online Lesson Journal where you can see my notes from our lessons, do homework from your “Stuff to work on” lists, and access my entire digital library! Every lesson is designed just for you.
Let’s get started…
You can take lessons at my studio, in your home, or online via Skype.
For lessons in my studio, I can provide instruments and amplifiers for both of us.
There is ample seating for parents to sit in on lessons. Parking is available in the driveway.
You’re going to love your lessons! -Alex

Alex was wonderful and my daughter enjoyed her lesson. He is very clear and responsive to questions. He helped her figure out what she needed and wanted from her lessons so no time was wasted. Alex has a good way about him when communicating with his students and my daughter is looking froward to her next lesson. Excellent teacher!!

My three kids (11, 10, and 8 years old) are taking Uke lessons with Alex and we're so pleased to have him as an instructor. He's very patient, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable. I appreciate that he sends us home with material (online) so that my kids can continue their lesson at home. We've only had our first lesson, and my kids can't wait for the next one!
I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and hopefully for a lot longer! I began as a blues player in the south and over time studied jazz, classical and of course rock n roll. I have over 11 years experience as a guitar instructor in music schools and private lessons. I have taught over 200 students from ages 6-65. I consider myself a guitar instructor not a teacher. I instruct you on how to teach yourself the guitar. A mere guide so that you can keep learning this great instrument long after the last lesson ends. I graduated from Atlanta Institute Of Music in 2002 and have toured around
the country as well as scored for film and studio session work. Lets ROCK!
*** Lesson Details *** I am like a musical Yoda. :) I have an innovative teaching style that I have honed over 11 years of working with students of all ages, backgrounds and most importantly learning methods. Everyone receives information differently. Some audibly. Some visually and some strictly by hands on doing. My methods are based upon your learning style so that I can optimally convey the lesson information. I can guarantee with your dedication you will progress farther with my lessons in just a few months than you have in years! I teach Rock, Blues, Pop, Jazz from scales, reading, theory, and ear training to straight up rocking your favorite songs. Whether you are a beginner or a advanced player looking to get out of that rut. Lets begin your journey!
*** Travel Equipment *** I provide books only. They must have guitars and amps.
*** Specialties *** Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced Rock, Blues, Jazz and some classical.

I enjoyed it!
I took lessons with Russ in Atlanta GA and really enjoyed myself! His professionalism was awesome and also was a very friendly and accessable instructor. We became great friends and to this day, I credit him with helping me develop the passion I now have for the instrument. Russ was never late and always encouraged me to become not only a better player, but all around performer and person. I would highly recommend him as a teacher for any age and any gender!
My name is David, and I am a music teacher of many different subjects. These include guitar, piano, bass, ukulele, recording, music theory, production, composition and film music composition.
All styles, and all ages. Classical, Rock, Alternative, Blues, Jazz, and more!
I have a Masters Degree in music from The University of Melbourne in Australia, as well as having the distinction of a Bachelors Degree in Music from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. I am one of the 16% of people who attended Cornish that actually graduated from their school.
Many times a student w
ill come to me after having been with another teacher for some time,.. they express to me that the other instructor did not teach them what they wanted to learn, nor did they achieve the result that they wanted. The instructor perhaps had them mired in endless exercises and studies that were great to get you ready to play music, but perhaps was not music in and of itself. I find that when I get right down to the nitty gritty of playing, and show my students a song they love and know, and get them playing their instrument, by the end of the session that they are usually thrilled and excited. In the end it makes them work harder and practice long because THEY ARE PLAYING MUSIC ON THE THEIR INSTRUMENT!!!
Certainly exercises are of paramount importance, but when you can make that connection with a student and help them to relate to the guitar the exercises are ultimately easier to them, and the experience of playing guitar an enjoyable and less alienating task.
Grab your guitar and start today!! Let's get you playing TODAY!!!!
"I am very happy with my decision to take lessons with David. In just 2 months I've gone from strumming some chords to understanding picking patterns, learning how to put together an entire song, and expanding my techniques. I am very surprised at how much technical skill I have been able to pick up in such a short period of time"
Marianne Burch, Tacoma
"I'm 46 years old and my only known talent is for overcomplicating things. I've always admired a good guitar player and wanted to learn to play myself--who doesn't?--but felt I didn't have the talent or just "couldn't do it." Then I found David Jaedyn C. and he said, 'Oh yes you can. Commit to 4 lessons up front and you'll see that you can.' I took the leap and sure enough, he had me playing blues riffs in less than one month. All I had to do was listen and do as he instructed me to and it all comes very naturally. There's no stress, just a whole lot of fun! If you're like me and you thought you couldn't play guitar, start with David and just have some fun with it. It's simple. You won't want to put the guitar down again!"
Dan DuBeau, Tacoma
I had been playing guitar for about 5 years and had only been self taught. I found myself completely stuck playing the same chords and not able to play riffs or solos at all. In my first lesson I was playing the blues with slides and hammer ons and pull offs. In a couple of lessons he had me soloing in different keys and playing riffs from guitar gods! He was able to teach me in a couple lessons what took me years trying to teach myself! He makes lessons so much fun because not only are you learning the music theory but he relates it to popular songs that you can practice along with. He also has so much knowledge in other aspects as well. He can teach you about music gear and amps or help you compose your own music. He caters to your style and taste in music and can teach you ANYTHING!
I love guitar period, but it's overtly frustrating when you have no idea where to start, or how to play at all. I went through multiple guitar instructors trying to learn how to play and each of them weren't very specific, or didn't hone in on any one thing at a time so you could really start to get it down and process it. Then we happened to find David, and he was really what we were looking for. I started picking up chords like no other, It helped, and is helping tremendously. He goes into depth about the song, letting you comprehend it a little more, and ultimately learning it quicker and better.

I have had 4 different Blues guitar Teacher in the last 6 months, getting nowhere as far as really playing some Blues until I ran across David. The other teachers just wanted me to learn the pentatonic scales, Major and Minor. That took a lot of boring weeks and I am sure I will need to know those scales but I just wanted someone to show / teach me Blues chords, related to Blues songs and the timing to the chord changes so I could start playing some kind of Blues. I have had 6 one hour lessons so far with David and I am playing the Blues. The first 4 hours Dave showed me a E, A, B7 blues chord progression with some step up and step down notes. The 2nd 2 hours Dave showed me a A, D9, A7,E9 Blues chords and Blues timing with slides.
I take one hour Lessons every Thursday and in 6 hours I am playing the Blues. I picked up the guitar about 6 months ago, started teaching myself and not really getting anywhere. I am not a fast learner, about average in learning something new. Now I set a home Learning my guitar and polishing the Blues songs that David has taught me, starting to get FUN.
Les Fairley Tacoma, Wa.
Working with David has made me focus on areas of my chops that needed fine tuning. He provides the basic exercises and tools that, when practiced enough in a zen-like manner, clarifies your understanding of movement on the fret board, and makes you sound a bit more professional. Questions regarding speed, theory, notation, composition, and even string size, are ready for answer with David, which is what keeps me working with him. From begining, to intermediate, to professional levels, if you're looking to improve your chops, Dave's your guy.
Frank Lorenzo, Seattle WA
I had tried many different instructors and had become very frustrated with trying to learn guitar. Within one lesson David had me playing ACDC and RUSH! David just has a way of explaining things so that they make sense and doesn't waste any time getting right down to the nuts and bolts of guitar. A lot of other instructors spend alot of time getting you 'ready' to play guitar, but with David we got down to playing guitar right away!

David is an amazing talent and provides me with much needed inspiration. In little over a year, I have learned a tremendous amount about nearly all styles of guitar, classical and lead guitar in particular. It's very helpful to have an awesome instructor who is extremely knowledgeable and very patient. His lesson plans are geared towards what I want to learn and the lessons that we work on cover all the techniques that are necessary to take my skills to the next level. He makes every lesson fun and he works with me until I am comfortable to move on.

Hi! My name is Allison and I'm an opera singer. I fell madly in love with music and singing as a young child and was bitten by the opera bug at age 15. Ever since seeing that first opera, I've never looked back. I did lead roles in my high school musicals, then got my Bachelor of Music and my Master of Music degrees in Classical Voice and Opera Performance both from competitive conservatories. Ever since graduation, I've been lucky enough to make my work as a professional singer. I've traveled all over the country and even internationally bringing this amazing art form to audiences. Now
I feel like my dream has come true because I get to do what I love: sing! Pavarotti said, "I think a life in music is a life beautifully spent and this is what I have devoted my life to." I feel so lucky to have a life in music and now I want to share everything I've learned with you.
Students of mine regularly are chosen for lead roles in school and extracurricular musicals and operas and score very high in school music evaluations.

Allison was able to identify my natural vocal range in the first lesson. Never thought that I would be comfortable singing in the soprano range, but she has given me week by week goals to build vocal technique and help me see my progress. She has an outgoing and enthusiastic personality! Lessons are a pleasure.

“From the first lesson with Jessica, my voice improved dramatically and the improvement has continued. I have more freedom, power and range. The lessons are well structured, practical and apply directly to what I want to accomplish with my singing. If you want to improve your vocals, go see Jessica." - Keith L.
By combining the two approaches that have helped me tremendously in my own growth as a singer, elements from the Complete Vocal Tech
nique and Yoga I have a unique approach to a singers body and vocals.
On a personal note, I moved to the States in 2010 where my own music career is taking off fast! Along side my own performances I teach vocal lessons, performance and songwriting. I have half of my family here in Seattle and the other half in Denmark, where I grew up and have lived most of my life. Although most of my life revolves around music, I am also a certified yoga instructor. I have had a lot of success combining my knowledge about the body from yoga with the knowledge I have from my own vocal training and performances.
*** Lesson Details *** I tailor my lessons to your needs and your level. I always have you prepare a song you want to sing. I let you sing the song. Then we go over what you would like to work on improving. I will coach you through getting the sound that you want, often supporting by giving you exercises that will improve your skill. After that you get to sing the song again, applying the new techniques.
In every lesson I give you technical knowledge to support your singing going forward.
I have a very holistic approach to being a vocalist. I have encountered many wonderful exercises and poses in my Yoga practice that are very beneficial as a singer. I will combine the two whenever it is needed.
I record every session and send to you as an mp3 so you can listen to it at your convenience.
*** Travel Equipment *** I can teach out of my home studio or go where you are!
*** Specialties *** I specialize in working with the Complete Vocal Technique as my basic teaching method. I am also a certified Yoga Instructor and have found the basic principles of Yoga to be a very helpful integration in my lessons. However, I only mix in the Yoga if you are comfortable with it.
My strengths are singing and performance techniques. Country music is where I have most of my experience. Making most of my living as a singer I have hands on experience with vocal endurance and healthy, full body singing.

Jessica Lynne has been giving my 15 yr old daughter, Hannah, voice lessons since November 2014 and the experience has been transforming for her. Through her willingness to get to know my daughter, Jessica was able to determine the best technique for teaching her and, as a result, Hannah's confidence has soared.
