Students of all ages are welcome. Curriculum is varied by students interest and voice. Broadway, Popular and Classical music will be used. Students will learn the basics of music - note values, time signatures, etc. Young children will focus on tone matching and learning to control the sound. Older students will work on breathing techniques, voice development and performance training.

About Patricia
I graduated from the University of Colorado with a degree in music education, K-12. Following I spent a year teaching piano and voice in England and then moved back to Colorado and opened a home studio. I have had the privilege to raise my daughter while working in the home as a music teacher. We later moved to Kentucky where I again started a home studio. I now have over 30 years of teaching experience, specializing in piano and voice lessons for beginners to advanced for students of all ages. I also have taught basic guitar.

My teaching style is very "laid back". I am a teacher who desires her students to learn and enjoy piano. The curriculum will be chosen individually for each student and if students are transferring from another teacher, they can use their current curriculum. Beginning students will learn the basics of piano an
d theory; intermediate students will advance their knowledge of playing and theory.

Students will be invited to participate in a variety of incentive programs throughout the year. We also preform 2-3 times a year at the yearly Formal Recital, Nursing home program, and our Christmas student program.

Hope to meet you soon. I would love to introduce you to the wonderful world of music!

Just like piano, I have experience in classical singing, but also pop, rock, theater, and a little jazz. These types of genres for singing are very fun, and you surprisingly learn a lot of fundamentals from these genres!

About Kellyn
Hello! My name is Kellyn B, and I would love to have the honor of being your music teacher! Having played piano for over sixteen years, and having sung for over a little over six years, I am happy to say music has been a huge part of me for most of my life. I have had a passion for it since I was a young child, and it has created this love for music that I hope to instill in every student I have.

I currently am pursuing my Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, while still practicing and teaching music on the side. I taught full time for a few years, but due to a big move up the West Coast, I have not found the same opportunity quite yet that I was once blessed with. Even though I am not pursuing a degree in music anymore, my love for teaching has not kept me away from it.

Prior to ASU, having grown up in Washington State,
I studied at Centralia College under the phenomenal Professor of Music, Donna Huffman, having completed my Associates of Arts with an emphasis in Music Theory.

I have been teaching now on and off for the past seven years, doing in home lessons, online lessons, and teaching in an actual studio. I teach any student from age of four to ninety-nine...anyone can have fun learning music! I emphasize GREATLY on theory, for I believe it is a key building block to understanding music. However, I also emphasize greatly on having FUN! We sometimes forget music is to be enjoyed, not something to stress over, so I try and make every lesson enjoyable and educational, both hand in hand.

From a young age, my musical career started when I got the opportunity to play piano for a local dance studio when I was living in Washington State, called The Dance Academy in Centralia, WA. I played there for just over six years, accompanying in lessons and performing in the dance recitals.

Also at a young age, i got the opportunity to teach young children the basics of the Finale program, where we took a summer to help these children compose their own pieces. I also got the chance to help them learn the program ProTools, a digitally composing program that assisted with their composing and ear training skills.

Prior to these events, I have had gigs as a church accompanist, for a high school theatrical event, where I was the solo accompanist for an entire show, vocal accompanying gigs, performances for schools and churches, etc.

I have performing experience including master classes, adjudications, dance recitals, theatrical performances, church services, private occasions, dinner shows, etc. Anything you can name, I am 99% sure I have played for!

I am confident in my abilities to play, sing, and teach, and have a deep passion to share it with anyone who is willing. I am studying Music Therapy simply because I understand the potential of music, and how much it can touch one's life in such a positive way. The gift of music can not only change your life, but those around you to. I have seen it done in so many circumstances, and it pleases me to think I can help someone reach that someday. So let's learn this crazy thing called "music" together, and have fun with it every step of the way!

I spent many years singing vocal jazz under the mentorship of Paris Rutherford-professor Emeritus UNT. Most recently with The New Collection in Dallas, Tx.
I can help you interpret, sing, phrase, stylize, and understand what jazz singing is!

About Gary
Hello, my name is Gary R. and I am a life long music instructor.
Whether you are just beginning, or have been making music since you were a kid, you should know that private lessons are the quickest avenue to improvement. My lessons are designed for each student individually to maximize their experience. I enjoy teaching students of all ages. Advanced trumpet players are welcome too.
I also teach on SKYPE, and have successful students, including an all area jazz and all state jazz band trumpeter in Houston. He also made all area band last year. I also have vocalists gigging, songwriters writing, and young pianists playing well!
I received my Bachelors and Masters degrees of Music Education from the University of North Texas, a University well known for their music school and famous graduates. I have performed with a num
ber of bands since college. I am an alumnus of the Dallas Cowboy's band, The Funk Monsters, Idle Hands, Syntax, and many more DFW area groups. In San Diego, I host a jazz jam each month featuring some of the area's hottest players.
My primary expertise is teaching Trumpet or related brass instruments, vocal jazz, and piano for kids and adults.
Read my reviews, ask me questions, come hear me perform around San Diego, set some goals with me and lets get after it!

I found Gary by chance, but not by accident. Music had been absent from my life for over a decade by the time I met Gary. To say he understands my soul is an understatement. Gary is no ordinary music instructor. He possess a gift for teaching something more than the technicalities of theory and notes. His style is unique and personalized partially due to his incredible life experience in the music industry but more so due to his keen intuition, talent, and true love of helping a musician reach their full potential. I highly recommend Gary to all those who desire to fulfill their musical dreams, whatever they may be. Gary will guide you on your musical journey.

There are so many colors to the human voice. Unlike most instruments, the human body does not show us what note we are playing or how the air is inhaled in to our stomach. So we end up feeling our way through, using our imagination. This is where the magic happens. In class and outside of it, muscle memory takes its natural course and we begin creating a unique and practical "navigation map" of your voice.
Whether you feel like letting out some steam, working on those high notes or designing your own sound; I am excited to meet you! I have studied (and still studying - learning is endless...) many different techniques and am very committed to sharing what I know with patience and passion.
Lessons are flexible, fun and fit for the students needs.
I take great pride in my students success and can't wait to welcome new ones!

I am thrilled to be working with Ariella Edvy in my quest to learn Hebrew. Her approach of using music and video clips to teach make her lessons fun and relevant. But there are two things that really set her apart -- her art of teaching elocution (she makes you feel it!) and her way of modeling her lessons to each individual's learning style.

I take the protection of a person's voice seriously. My technique focuses on guidance in the how to, rather than specific to a song. This way the individual can sing just about any type (genre) of music and, if using the techniques provided, can be sure to protect their voice for a lifetime.

About Joanne
I have been singing since the age of 4. Singing is almost like breathing to me. First and foremost, I thank God for this unimaginable gift that I can carry with me wherever I go. I grew up singing in church and that is my most important service but I have also done musical theatre, barbershop, and formal classical singing. I give back to my God, what He has given and try to do it with excellence! I have done solo work and have sung in a 200 voice traveling choir - all to the glory of God. The genres that I have covered in my time of singing have been numerous. From classical to country and just about everywhere in between.

I have sat under the direction of some excellent teachers and thank God for them in my life. I minored in music in college, but have gleaned so much more knowledge outside of the classroom. In previous vocal
lessons my most favorite part is when the student finally understands and their gift is what it was meant to be. I love people and will always do my best to encourage positively. I look forward to meeting with you and discussing your goals.

-15 years of vocal experience in multiple genres of music
-Specializing in Beginning/intermediate vocal students
-All ages welcome!

My goal is to share my love for music by showing my students how to practice vocal health while still having a fun and enjoyable lesson. I want my students to be able to sing the songs THEY want to sing, but still have a structured lesson in order to learn the fundamentals of singing and promote longevity in their music careers.

About Sofie
I am a professional singer and songwriter specializing in voice for the last 15 years. I began studying classical voice at the age of 5 and booked my first gig in professional musical theater at the age of 6. At a young age I continued to be casted in many professional musicals including Annie in Annie, Jojo in Susical, and many more. When I was 12 I picked up the guitar and began writing my own music. I also specialized in Jazz voice all four years of high school at The Los Angeles County High School for the Arts (LACHSA). There I developed skills in jazz improve, jazz vocal ensemble, songwriting, choral singing, and theory. During that time I also had the opportunity to sing with my jazz ensemble on American Idol, in the Rose Parade with NBC's The Voice, and in the Play Boy Jazz Festival hosted by George Lopez. Furthermore, under my st
udent direction, the LACHSA Jazz Vocal Ensemble took first place in the Next Generation Jazz Festival, allowing us to sing at the Monterey Jazz Festival along side artists such a Esperanza Spalding. After High School I attended Baylor University where I sang in Concert choir and continued working toward a career in music by writing and recording my own music.

Last year, I returned to California and released my first single "Take a Drive", which can be heard on all music streaming sites.

Currently, I am pursing a career in Country music. I plan to start releasing new music starting January of 2019.

My teaching experience dates back even before my college days, as I began teaching at the West Lousiville Performance Academy over ten years ago, and have been teaching student since that time either in a choir or private lessons. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument. I've also found that a combination of classical and modern music can go a long way in helping students fully develop as a musician and motivate them to practice and continue to learn. I'm always looking to bring on new students of all ages!

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with breathing and vocal exercise. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals and are introduced to the Belcanto technique, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate, for their first recital performance or audition. For adults, I
