My approach to teaching my students how to sing is to make sure they feel comfortable each moment of the way while implementing challenges that will allow them to grow as artist! I give my students the option to pick a song of their choice that they would like to work on and then I will pick a song for them that I feel will help them meet theirs goals as singers!

About Keanon

I love everything about teaching! I love music; it is my life. I sleep, breathe and dream music. I am a Columbia University Chicago graduate; I graduated with a degree in Music with a concentration in Classical Voice. I have performed in numerous operas and musicals, as well as, sung on Gospel Cru

Keanon is a GREAT teacher/artist/musician/mentor

I've been working with Keanon for almost a year now. Aside from being an amazing vocalist himself, he does everything he can to help students reach their full potential and find their voice. He makes lessons fun while constantly keeping you challenged. There's always encouragement from him to strive to be better, which can really bring the best out of singers. Whether you're simply singing for hobby, performing for shows/auditions, or ready to record, Keanon has something to offer to any aspiring musician. He has a passion and love for music and understands it's a gift that must be shared with the world.

Students who are new to music can expect (from me) a patient teacher that will help them learn how to sight read new music and won’t be too strict with them. I am not an intimidating person, so I will make the lessons as friendly, professional, and productive as possible. I expect my students to learn as much as possible. I gain happiness when I see someone learn something new and I enjoy singing as much as I enjoy teaching how to sing.

About Oresmary

I will be doing tutoring sessions for anyone interested in learning more about the violin, the voice, the piano, and anything else related to music. I'm a professional singer, composer, and arranger with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jazz Vocal Performance. I've toured throughout the United States and several countries in Asia.

I teach all ages and welcome beginners. My lessons are customized and catered to the needs and goals of each student. My students can work on vocal techniques and improvisation (e.g., scat singing, melody changing, etc.) over their favorite songs. If they would like, I can help my students build a solid foundation in music theory, composition, and arranging.

I've taught older students who have a passion for jazz and also younger students who are exploring the many wonderful aspects of this music.

Above anything else, I'd like to make sure my students are having fun and expressing their love for singing!

Aya is a patient, knowledgeable, and fun teacher. With her guidance, I feel confident that I'll be able to regain the voice I once had. I highly recommend her!

Ahdda has worked with my daughter for two years, and is an outstanding teacher. Ahdda focuses not only on how singing should sound, but on how your body should feel and what it should be doing when you sing. She explains this clearly, and the techniques she teaches result in a beautiful sound while ensuring that the singer's voice will remain healthy.
Yanqing
My past voice trainings have a rigid approach so I was following the instructions mechanically. I thought that this is the way to go--until I met Ms.Ahdda. Her "Voga" (voice yoga) focuses on sensations and helps me to trust that my body has the ability to create the right sound. I stopped analyzing the "why"s and am instead remembering the right feelings. My singing skills have improved so much, and I have only been working with Ms. Ahdda for 6 months!

"I’ve tried and failed with other teachers in the past. I didn’t feel that their “one size fits all” approach to teaching singing got the best out of my voice. With Jamie I improved faster than I would have believed and achieved so much more than I thought possible with my voice. She has the experience, technical knowledge and a degree in music to back it up as well as being super friendly and comfortable to work with!

Having the facility to professionally record my voice was an added bonus that helped me track my progress along the way as well as providing me with a professional demo I can use for agents and work in the future. She also provided me with great idea’s to take my music to the next level, helped me with performance, songwriting and techniques to cope with performance nerves. I highly recommend her as a teacher!"

Words will never be enough to express what Danielle has done for my daughter and her love of singing. Danielle has shown so much patience and commitment through her instruction and has boosted my daughters confidence 110%. She knows how to chose the perfect song for Alexis' voice and the emails that she sends after each session provide the proper tools for my daughter to carry out her 1 hour session to a full week. "I have always loved to sing but other than some choir classes in middle and high school, I never had any formal training. I always said "someday I would love to take singing lessons". Last May, my husband bought me singing lessons with Randy as a Mother's Day gift. It's November and I am still doing it. I briefly looked over the other reviews and would absolutely agree with all the other comments about Randy's patience, humor and flexibility. He is very understanding about my limited time to practice outside of lessons and has a great balance of knowing when to push a little more and when to let me find my own way. Ultimately, though, I keep going because even though I may come into a session with the weight of the world on my shoulders, I always leave feeling lighter. And that has been a true gift for me both from my husband and from Randy."
