I teach an extremely functional approach to the piano, and I take in consideration my students goals as well. Not everybody wants to play classical music, so I don’t make that a requirement! What I do make a requirement is accomplishing goals, learning how the piano and music function, and having fun!

I’m not usually one to write reviews but Jeff is such a great teacher. He really helped to develop my playing to where now I consider myself a confident bassist. His style of teaching not only helped me to be a better bassist, but also helped me internalize musical concepts that will help me for the rest of my life. I strongly recommend Jeff if you are looking for someone to really take you to the next level!

Jeff Was a godsend with our 9 year old son. We felt Jeff really knew what Jabob needed to get him interested in learning to correct way to play, while also having FUN. As a pick up, know nothing guitar player myself I was really impressed with Jeff’s attitude and dedication to music and fostering the learning of music. 10/10 THANKS Jeff!

With 20+ years of teaching, I have worked with students with all levels of piano playing experience and helped them improve their performance and musicianship. I hold both Bachelor's and Master's Degree in Music Education and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I have specialized in online instruction for the last five years, working with students from all over the world including China, Kenya, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
My instructional focus is centered on providing a firm musical foundation upon which students can explore various performance styles. Additionally, students develop sight-reading and improvisational skill sets through study of music theory and ear training.

I never knew you could take piano lessons online! Dr. B made it so easy to learn. He is a great teacher.

My teenage son wanted to take music lessons to have another activity to add to his college applications. We knew Dr. B. previously and know he is a good teacher. My son has greatly enjoyed studying with him and said he wants to continue playing piano for fun when he goes to college.

I had never studied online before and thought it would be weird for piano. It was not weird, it was amazing. Dr. B. uses several cameras so I can see his face and his hands on the keyboard. It is just like being there in person.

Karrie is a very talented pianist with the ability to be so patient and kind when working with someone like me, a beginner who gets frustrated easily. She takes extra time to really understand and puts forth the effort to build a strong teacher/student relationship. I would gladly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn to play the piano!

My goal is help students to achieve their fullest musical potential. As a foundation for the lessons students will learn to read and write traditionally notated music. For more advanced students honing their ears and understanding of music theory will be a focus in addition to their playing.

I'm well versed in many different styles (classical, jazz, acoustic, rock, blues, funk, metal, etc) so they can expect a healthy understanding of each of these styles and more during our studies.

About Christian

Hey there! I'm a professional musician and instructor from Long Island, NY. I received my Bachelors Degree in Classical Guitar Performance under the tutelage of the world-renowned Fred Hand at the SUNY Purchase Music Conservatory. Through my studies I've channeled my passion for jazz, education

I’ve played with Christian for years and gotten a few lessons in the process. Christian is an easygoing, kind, and hilarious guy, and one of the most dedicated, professional, and tasteful players I know. As a teacher, he is patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and flexible in his approach. He’ll find new angles to explain the same subjects until he finds the right one that clicks with you.

This is just what I was looking for! Christian is a wonderful instructor. After only one lesson, I'm so thrilled as this is just what I need to help me progress. He's polite, friendly and patient. I'm very very happy!

"My 11 year old daughter loved her first lesson with Heather for both guitar and voice. Although we weren't sure how the online lessons would work out, my daughter was beaming after the first one excited to tell me all about it. It was important to us to find a guitar teacher with a warm, funny and personable personality to fit our daughter's personality awhile understanding how to communicate and educate her age range. It looks like that's exactly what we found. Heather was a great find."

"Wow wow wow. I had my first lesson with Christian, and he absolutely blew me away. Super talented musician. He has such a wealth of knowledge of the fretboard, musical theory, and different genres. I am into prog rock/metal and blues. I’ve never taken lessons before, and do not know scales or many chords, and christian identified exactly where to start off. He broke it down to a science and completely demystified the guitar. In small bite sized chunks we went for over two hours. It was a proper class with 1 on 1 personal attention. He is approachable with any question, and helps you understand the WHY of things, not just how to do something, which gives you such a stronger foundation to build off. I cannot wait for the next session."
