About Daniel

Hi there, I have been a musician all my life. Started singing when I was four years old. I started playing piano and clarinet early on in life before adding the trumpet, trombone, and eventually the drum set. I've had a great time doing music as it allows me to share my talent with others around

Daniel was a very hard working student at Melrose-Mindoro Schools. He was my student in choir and performed solos and ensembles for solo/ensemble festivals. He also was in state honors choirs and one national choir in 2011 under Rollo Dilworth.

I am a retired voice and piano teacher with 45 years of experience including teaching on the High School and university levels as well as performing in concerts and Opera and (still) serving as a Church Musician. Daniel Schlegel was one of my most advanced high school students in applied Voice. He was a talented, hard-working all-round musician and always a gentleman. I helped to prepare him for several auditions and concerts in which he excelled. Some of my most memorable occasions of performing with Mr. Schlegel were accompanying him in vocal competitions and especially at venues in Ireland, where he was warmly received by the Irish listeners. I believe that with his additional training, work ethic and experience teaching young people he would be a fine choice as a voice teacher.

I have had the opportunity to observe Daniel teach Middle School students. He his an outstanding teacher. He pays attention to detail and gets the most out of them. There is never any wasted time and he has a heart fro young people and their music. I highly recommend him as a teacher for your child!

I have worked with Elizabeth for years and she is a fantastic colleague. I'm not sure if I've met anyone else to match her incredible work ethic. You can expect very creative and effective lessons from her - she has a knack for inventive problem solving that makes musical improvement really fun and transformative for her students. While she is extremely friendly and warm, she is also informative and knowledgeable - a great balance to look for in a music instructor!

Garrett was patient, kind, and professional when he meet with my son virtually. I was a little worried about how the meet was going to go because it was virtual; however, he did an excellent job rearranging the camera whenever he needed to provide the appropriate angles for my son to learn.

"I met Wendy Parman when she was the lead in a musical comedy, and I had a small supporting role. I began taking lessons with Wendy at the end of the play's run. I greatly appreciate how Wendy individualizes lessons to meet my needs. She is able to hone in on my specific vocal challenges, and has given me strategies and exercises to work on at home. In addition she has helped me choose audition songs and prepare me for those auditions. Her Singer's Salon provides a safe and nurturing space in which to perform in front of an audience comprised of aspiring singers of all ages and experience levels. In addition to being an excellent teacher, Wendy is a talented performer who understands what it takes to audition, play a role, and entertain a live audience or in front of the camera."

"Teresa is an excellent music teacher!
My daughter received a ukulele as a gift from her grandparents. My husband and I wanted her to take lessons, but we were hesitant. She had taken music lessons previously, with a different instructor, with little success and mostly frustration. But then we found Teresa.......
Teresa took the time to learn about my daughter's strengths and weaknesses, and planned her lessons accordingly. She utilizes several different teaching modalities into her lessons (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) with amazing results. Teresa is a truly dedicated teacher who is both knowledgeable and passionate about what she does. My daughter looks forward to each lesson!"
