While I have my degree in Commercial music, I do believe that it is very important to have a Classical background and training. I would most likely begin with Classical pieces and Arts songs, and when I feel the student has progressed I would let them choose something of a different style. I personally have sung Classical, Opera, Country, Rock, Pop, Jazz, and more, so I am open-minded.

About Jonah
If you're going to hire a guitar teacher, your lessons should be something you look forward to every week. The majority of instructors use a one-size-fits-all approach, and as a result, their students can quickly become frustrated and lose interest. I've always found this unfortunate because playing the guitar can be such an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience.

With each one of my students, I take into account how much time they are willing to practice, what playing styles interest them, and what teaching approach works best. I then come up with a lesson plan that is specifically catered to their needs.

Music is a gift. My goal as a teacher is to share my knowledge of this gift with others, so that they too will have the ability to understand and enjoy the creation of music. Studying an instrument should be rewarding and I do my best to keep it a positive experience for my students. My method is versatile - custom fit for each individual who studies with me. It is my task as an educator to identify a student'€™s dominant learning style and use this information to engage him/her in the learning process. The ov
erall agenda is set, as far as what I expect students to learn, but how I present the material differs from person to person. I am interested in making sure that the student not only comprehends the lessons, but feels a sense of pride in their accomplishments. Ultimately, my purpose is to help the pupil connect to the music, so that it may become a life-long relationship, whether he/she becomes a professional musician or a music enthusiast.

Better than I expected!

Veronica helped me to understand what I really can do while also giving constructive criticism. She also gave "homework" which helped immensely. I felt that my experience with her was worth every dime!!

About Aidan
Hi, my name is Aidan. I'm a composer, performer, guitar instructor and band leader. I teach at my apartment in Cambridge and can drive within the Cambridge area.

I am a Hampshire College music program graduate who has taught students of various ages, skills, and music preferences. I play guitar in Freddy & the Yetis, a touring band out of New England and i'm currently living Cambridge this year to study with one of Berklee's most prominent professors. Ive played hundreds of gigs in my life.

My goal with students is to encourage both a love of music and the guitar as an instrument for personal expression. I want to see my students playing the music they enjoy as soon as possible. Every student is treated as an individual. Their needs, abilities and learning style are taken into consideration. I use this information to design a stude
nt specific curriculum. The experience should be fun and educational for the student.

Various openings 9am - 10pm
Prices are negotiable depending on location

I encourage students to take one or two lessons per week at a regularly scheduled time. References are available.

"Aidan has been teaching my 12-year old son guitar for the last year. He started with the basics in technique and later worked with him on music appreciation. My son really enjoyed his easy-going and attentive nature and attitude. Aidan was always punctual and respectful of our schedule. I feel my son learned a lot about music and he enjoyed working with Aidan."

Aidan is a terrific teacher!! I played professionally over 35 years ago and have not played at all since. At this point I could not play ANYTHING. He took me back through the basics and got me thinking the way I did when I was in my teens. Clearly he has the technical aspect of both music and teaching down - but what made him a great teacher to me is his love of music and guitar. Reminded me of why I loved it in the first place. Although we didn't match up on style perfectly - he embraced the music that I loved and got me back up and running - could not give him a higher recommendation!!

HI Everyone!!!

I am an award winning singer-songwriter/producer. I have been playing out locally for several years now. I also write songs for Film & TV and have had several placements on shows like Reign, The Fosters, Benched, Longmire and more! I am fairly new to the music lesson game, but found that I love it. I have a teaching/training background which allows me to break down the material into small chunks of absorbable material. I love to teach and I love music and that combination is a winning strategy. We will talk about your goals, the music you would like to learn and plan a basic strategy tailored to your learning style. I teach in a low pressure low stress environment with lots of encouragement. No need for perfection here. We will work through this together! Oh and of course we will have FUN! Hope to have you
as a student soon! - Michelle

Welcome!

Thank you for stopping by. I began an adventure many years ago that changed my entire life. It was the adventure into the world of Music.

I began piano lessons at the age of 7. This led to playing the piano and organ for churches (their services and choirs of all ages).

I also played the clarinet in the Jr. High School and High School bands. I even marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade.

While I love accompanying others, over thirty-five years ago I discovered an even more rewarding opportunity. I began teaching piano, music theory and music history. It's a pleasure to share with others and watch them experience the joys that music brings.

I invite you to join me in this adventure. There's no telling where it will lead YOU!

Hello Singers!
When I'm not teaching, my life exists "on the road" as a touring vocalist and front-woman for a successful Philadelphia-based band.
With over two decades of performance and studio experience under my belt, I feel confident sharing my knowledge and experience with you.
I am well-versed in most every genre of singing and have countless tips and tricks that I use to ensure that you not only "find your voice", but do so safely and properly. It is so important to treat your voice with the same level of care and respect as you would an expensive instrument.
Every voice and every body is so unique, so I pride myself on customizing each lesson to make sure that each and every individual student eventually feels confident enough to share and express the gift of their voice with others, in any capacity that they choose.
I welcome
all ages and skill-levels to my practice!

I eagerly look forward to meeting you & sharing our love of singing together!

About Chris
I am a jazz guitarist based out of beautiful Los Angeles, California. I received and Associate of Arts degree in Music in 2015, and have been pursuing a bachelors in Jazz Studies since then.

While in community college I really grew into my own as a musician and discovered that I love jazz. Not only the music, but the history of how it formed as well as the differences from classical music. When at school I stood out from the other guitarists because I was hungry to learn and that attitude will hopefully follow me for the rest of my life.

Thats what I'd hope to pass on the students; that knowledge, be it music, english, math, physiology, etc. is the key to everything. And that it doesn't have to be all stuffy and boring! I tailor my lessons to the student wether its guitar, piano, ukulele, etc. and my main objective is to learn and have
fun, so the learning is reinforced with good natured thoughts. This will set up the student to actually want to practice!

As a musician I've been in a couple of groups, and starting to get a jazz group together recently. I also try to utilize the computer to produce when possible so I can learn about that aspect of music. My passion is improvisation/composition, because I hope to one day leave songs behind that people can play forever and be influenced by them like so many have influenced me.

My son has never played a musical instrument so I wasn't sure how this would go, but Christopher has really connected with him. He came home and actually practiced during the week! And Christopher always comes out after the lesson and gives me a little update which matters to me as a mom. I also appreciate how he doesn't just boot him out the door at the end of the lesson. AND my son is actually talking about music! Definitely learning more than just some chords. Good instructor who obviously loves and respects music. :)

I have been a self-taught guitarist for 10+ years, but quickly had some weaknesses exposed after starting lessons with Chris, which is a good thing. When I show up for a lesson, Chris has prepared in advance and is ready to go. He has also given some good advice to optimize the time I spend practicing on my own.
