About Jo-Anne

My name is Jo-Anne. I am so thankful to my mother who pushed me and allowed me to learn how to play the piano! I remember when I started private piano lessons how much I disliked it! I know Elizabeth as a colleague, and her work is beyond excellent. She's passionate about teaching and sharing her knowledge with other people as well as helping them to be the best that they can be! And, she's super flexible with scheduling, which is great if you're a Florida snow bird.

5+ stars!

My daughter was initially sad to hear that Elizabeth would not be visiting in-person (thanks coronavirus!), but now that we have moved to remote lessons she has been able to continue her learning and still looks forward to her online lessons every week! The transition was so painless, and Elizabeth helped us along to make sure things went smoothly. Her professionalism is truly unmatched!
Helen
We recently switched to online lessons due to the current circumstances, and I have to say that it is working out great! The transition was so easy, and Elizabeth handled everything so we didn’t have to worry at all. Her feedback is always prompt and insightful, and my son has been able to stay motivated and on track with no interruption whatsoever to his learning.

Heavy emphasis on technique (specifically right hand), tone production (making sure your guitar sounds good), and reading notation. These aspects are the core elements of any good classical guitar player.

I usually like to cover at least some sort of technical work every lesson, followed by building a basic repertoire of music

About Christian

My name is Christian L. and I am a 29 year old guitar/music instructor in the Orlando area. My interest in guitar began when I was 12 years old and blossomed into a full time obsession about 3 years later when I started playing small gigs as a solo guitarist playing simple jazz and classical pieces

A teacher of this caliber comes around once in a blue moon. His knowledge of the guitar and music is vast and he knows how to pass that on simply and effectively. He can take you where you want to go musically if you have the dedication. My creative potential has expanded beyond what I thought was possible. I am beginning to have a real experience of myself as a musician and the unfolding of my own music through the insight of his teachings. I definitely recommend learning from him!
Joseph
Christian was super helpful and helped me get a better idea of how i want to learn. Thanks so much!
Mayra
Christian is not only a talented musician, but he is also a true guitar teacher. So far, I have taken 4 classes and I've learned more with his methods than any other way. I've had tried from the Fender Play app, YouTube videos, to other instructors, but nothing compares to his teachings. He is patient and truly pays attention to what I am struggling with. He breaks everything down piece by piece. If one way doesn't work, he tries a different way until I understand. As mentioned before, he is a gifted teacher. One thing is to be a great guitar player who teaches how to play a few chords, and another is to be a great guitar player who puts him/herself in the student's shoes and help them progress with each lesson. He is one of a kind. Thanks, Christian!

I have a lot of experience with the Suzuki method as a teacher and also a player having started with that myself. However unless the player or parent specifies that they want strict Suzuki, I go with my method which involves Suzuki but also other methods. I was not strict Suzuki and it definitely worked for me as well as students of mine!

"I was able to start to relax with singing in front of someone with coaching from Randy. He normalized singing to assist me in starting to find my voice. I think singing is sharing a part of yourself that is very personal and people pass judgement quickly on whether or not your voice is good. Randy helped me adjust to continue finding my voice and not worry so much about what others think. I learned a lot about experimenting with my voice and trying to find the best key for my voice."

Pink Floyd Guitar Lesson | How to Play Like David Gilmour

When it comes to incredible guitar players, David Gilmour of Pink Floyd takes the cake. In this article, teacher Bernard M. shows you how to play the guitar just like the legend himself...   Many musicians strive to sound like their heroes. They want to get that special something that makes those legends stand out from the crowd. One of the best ways you can do this is to learn their parts -- beat for beat, note for note. While this can be difficult and time consuming, it's on …
