As a violin teacher, I love helping my students achieve their goals!
I believe not only the results matter, but also the journey. I focus my lessons on helping the student learn and have a deeper understanding of music theory, harmony, rhythm, technique, and how all those apply to the violin. I specialize in classical music and I use methods such as Suzuki, Essential Elements, and many others to help you become a better violinist. The lessons take place in a relaxed and fun setting :)

About Tania

I have been playing the violin for more than 20 years but my love for teaching started about 10 years ago! I became fascinated with teaching as not only I have learned so much about myself as a musician and person but most importantly I have learned how to help my students become better musicians.

Tania has been a great teacher for my son. He started learning violin with the Suzuki method and studied with a Suzuki teacher for about four years before stopping lessons. He became interested in violin again in middle school and decided he wanted to take private lessons while in 7th grade. Tania had no trouble getting him back on track, picking up with some Book 2 pieces and moving on to Book 3. She has helped him with his bowing, vibrato and shifting, and his sound has really improved. She also has helped him learn to read better and has introduced some basic music theory into lessons. My son really likes his lessons, and feels that he is learning what he needs. Overall, I like her approach, which I think works very well for this level. She is an excellent musician, and this comes through in her teaching.

My first lesson with Tania met my expectations. She did an assessment to determine where I am in my learning and what I know. She gave me great pointers and we worked on a short piece alone with a Major scale. I look forward to my next lesson and expect to progress tremendously under her instruction.

I had such a wonderful experience with Tania as my violin teacher. I minored in music at Florida State University and was lucky enough to be her violin student for two years (August 2013-May 2015). Tania was extremely patient and encouraging, and was very skilled in teaching me how to balance focus on technical details as well as on the "bigger picture" of emotion and musicality. In my opinion and experience, Tania's greatest strength as a teacher is being very adaptable to her students' needs. When I was preparing for an important audition, her expectations and demands were where they needed to be in order for me to succeed. Months later, when I was approaching exams and graduation, she recognized that practicing every day was not my priority at that time, and she adjusted her teaching style so that I could still improve and use music as a constructive and creative outlet during those stressful times so that I could excel in my examinations.

From lesson to lesson (and in-between!), she succeeded in her best efforts in connecting with me not only as my teacher and as a fellow musician, but also as a fellow human being, pushing me to fulfill my potential in each and all of these areas. I highly recommend her as a teacher!

I currently work with kids from middle school through high school. I’m able to teach a beginner or the more advanced young percussionist and this has allowed me to be analyze a wide range of problems that typical beginners have and how to carry them confidently to the high school level and of course past the high school level since i’m a lifelong learner myself and a gigging percussionist.

No matter how young or old it’s never to late to learn the art of drums.

About Marcus

No drums are not easy and Yes it will take a lot of effort. If you’re looking for someone that will lie to you and tell you this will be easy and that you have nothing to worry about then you need to find someone else. I am a classically trained singer, and I prioritize health above all else when teaching voice. As a soloist, I work with students to improve their abilities to sing confidently and technically efficient by themselves. I teach everything from standard operatic repertoire, musical theater (helping them get roles like Cinderella from "Into the Woods" and Gabriella from "High School Musical"), popular music, and much more. I love learning from my students and their interests.

Madeline is a really kind and enthusiastic instructor. She helped me feel comfortable with my voice and validated my singing, granted I'm not the best singer. I think that's a really great start to singing. I was starting to see some growth in my singing because Madeline helped me become more aware of my body and singing, but I had to discontinue lessons because of certain life circumstances. Would totally recommend.

Throughout my time at Berklee, NEC, and now Juilliard, I have studied with many great teachers and musicians from Wynton Marsalis, Eddie Henderson, Kenny Barron, Tiger Okoshi, John McNeil, and Laurie Frink to Jerry Bergonzi, and Miguel Zenon. The diverse subjects we went over in lessons and classes gives me a unique knowledge of certain styles and musical ideas. I try to be as personal and individual as I can when it comes to teaching students. That was the thing that stood out amongst my favorite teachers.

"Josh is a student of his craft. He works hard to be the best and is great at teaching others to be excellent as well. He has a very creative approach to teaching and understands a lot of different styles. I have taken years worth of lessons and as an improv type artist myself, Josh has helped teach me a number of elements that were outside my knowledge base. Solid guy and a solid instructor."

"An intuitive teacher who tailors lessons to your individual capacity.

Marie-France's gift of communication translates into a learning experience that transcends the typical learning by rote or standard fare lesson plan. She combines her vast technical skill and knowedge with an uncanny ablity to "read" her students learning mode which results in a lot of "ah-ha" moments. I am not a child, I am a 56 year old woman who thought she could never learn music..well in a matter of two lessons I learned chords, octaves, and a couple of songs. I am not trying to land a gig at Carnegie Hall..just trying to enhance my singing experience....but after three lessons I decided to invest in a more sophisticated digital piano and go for it. Music lessons with Marie-France go beyond simply learning how to play piano or sing as wonderful as that can be; because Marie's approach nurtures the whole person her lessons will enhance life in many other spheres. I guess it is obvious that I heartily recommend her as a teacher, especially if you have had teachers who intimidated you in the past, there will be none of that with Marie because she loves to bring out the best in her students."

"I’m an adult learner and could not be more pleased with Nate as a teacher. His energy, talent, knowledge of all kinds of music and easy going, relaxed personality has made lessons fun and without stress. Nate prepares and goes out of his way to research and find things for me to learn and work on. He is able to come up with things on the fly that can benefit you while in the lesson. He communicates very well, and explains more complex things in a way you can understand them and if not…he’s very easy to talk to and I don’t’ feel embarrassed to as those “stupid” questions. He is able to help me with any kind of music whether it be the blues, country, rock and roll or heavy metal. With all that said, I would highly recommend Nate as a teacher for guitar for all ages."

The 10 Best Guitar Soloists of All Time | Solos and Guitar Tricks

As with any top 10 list, ranking the best guitar soloists is not an easy feat. Guitar solos are incredibly subjective, and what pleases one fan might make someone else plug their ears. My list is based on years of listening to and loving classic rock, indie music, and pop. If there's anyone I left out or anything you would change, I hope you'll let me know in the comments. 10.
