Stacey created an environment that was extremely conducive to learning. She is not only very knowledgeable but she presents information in an easy and relaxing manner. Being a novice I did not feel overwhelmed or intimidated by what she asked of me. Very quickly she was able to discern where to take the lesson that instilled the greatest confidence and yet focused on the most immediate opportunities for moving forward. She’s fun, enthusiastic, and informative and made an hour lesson seem like fifteen minutes. I look forward to working with her in the future. I would strongly recommend her.

Zaky N.

Independence, KY

About Zaky

Hi, my name is Zak! Music is a beautiful thing. It has the so much power. It can be used to send a message, move and inspire people. Music can impact emotions, it is a beautiful and powerful thing!

Music, and teaching have always been a big passion in my life. The ability to take knowledge of a subject that you have, and show, share, and shape someone and pass on that knowledge to them. It is an amazing feeling. I am a passionate, and caring instructor. My teaching style is encouraging, motivating, and educational. I fully believe that you can do anything you set your mind to, and I use th
at by showing my students that I believe in them.

I use a curriculum that was taught to me, and has been used in schools and universities. This curriculum fits all age groups and skill levels. Starting with Rock, moving to Funk, ending with Jazz. When drumming playing with music, learning improvisation, and playing by ear is important. I also focus on this, having students learn their favorite songs, and learn to play with new music as well. This keeps students interested, and adds a fun personal element to their lessons. I also have implemented use of a teaching app, so while practicing if students have a question they can ask me right then so to not forget, and I can give feedback. It also has a practice tracker tool. If you have any questions feel free to email me.

I look forward to meeting you, and helping you reach your music goals!

I have nothing but great things to say about Zak N., my daughter's instructor - he is SUPER with her and has given her confidence and the self-esteem she lacked before. I would refer family/friends and others to him in a heartbeat!!! He is the BEST!!!

Zak has gone so far out of his way to accommodate us. He has taken my daughter under his wing, insisting that she surpasses him in his expertise and spends 4 times the amount of time he is getting paid for, just to increase her skills and confidence. This is all while he attends two different colleges on a full-time basis!!! He is simply amazing, and incredibly talented!

Todd T.

Cincinnati, OH

About Todd

About Guitar Lessons With Todd

"Todd is a very gifted and motivated guitarist with an uncommon aptitude for teaching."
Rodney Stucky

"Todd is passionate about teaching, and dedicates himself to this with utmost energy and purpose. He is always extremely successful in producing a high level of achievement with every student." Jeffrey Van

One of the most important duties of a competent instructor is teaching students how to practice. This is just as true for the rank beginner as it is for the advanced student, or even professional. Everyone can learn to play music and play it well if
given competent instruction. Learning to play well is learning about the mind and body, and how to use it to one's potential. As the awareness of the self is refined, not only is the playing improved, but the potential for greatness is elevated. Learning to perform music with security and confidence is fun!

Bob is a great guy and has been an informal instructor to me in our church worship band for more than a decade. He has helped my musicianship as well as ability. He has years of experience and is as talented as they come. He works well with everyone from beginners to seasoned musicians (I'm one of those in-between), and in many different styles (both acoustic and electric guitar).

Chrissy L.

Cincinnati, OH

About Chrissy

I have been teaching private lessons for 15 years. I taught mostly beginning students in 5th grade and then continued with them as they progressed through high school. I also have taught adult students who were new or returning to the cello. In addition to private cello lessons, I also direct an after school string orchestra comprised of all beginning students. The students play violin, viola, and cello. I have also coached ensembles and sectionals for middle school and high school string orchestra students. I love music and I have found my calling to be teaching others to also love and
appreciate music. I enjoy working with students of all ages and levels to find ways to help them learn and enjoy playing music.

I loved taking lessons from Chrissy! She was my favorite teacher I've had! We would have fun even while she corrected my form and taught me new pieces. She was hard on me, made sure I practiced and generally made me a much better player. She charged less than most teachers and taught more than any other teacher I've had. I would strongly recommend her for any cello student looking for a great teacher!
