I have been teaching music for over 10 years. I am a strong believer in making sure my students have strong fundamentals. The stronger your fundamentals the easier it is to play the way you want to play. I have a lot to offer a student that goes far beyond playing the instrument. I have a lot of experience helping students learn how to deal with performance anxiety and learn music theory.
I have been teaching music for over 10 years now. I come from Indiana and I worked as a brass teacher for several state finalist high school marching bands. I believe that students need to feel free to make mistakes. When students feel comfortable it is easier for them to focus on getting better

All music lessons at WCGA combine solid instruction in music fundamentals with the student’s personal interests and goals. Guitar students will learn chords, scales, terminology, and technique along with note reading, chord progressions, and theory. Teacher duets are common in our lessons to develop listening and timing skills. Our guitar teachers make sure every student understands the fretboard in order to execute challenging melodies and riffs along with chords that are suitable for popular, rock, jazz and other styles of music. Teachers craft each lesson to incorporate the fundamentals of guitar playing with the personal interests of each student.

Awarded McClure Music Performance Award from Kahn Foundation
I’m a professional singer with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in vocal performance. I have extensive experience with both musical theatre and Opera but will teach any genre. I was a vocal TA to over 30 students at the University of Illinois and have developed an understanding of how to develop a student’s personal style. I also taught privately in Jacksonville where I received a minor in education. My course credits include italian, German, and French diction, pedagogy, vocal literature, musical theatre history, and opera history and I’ve worked with singers such as Nathan Gunn, Michelle DeYoung, Susan Graham, and Jerold Siena in order to develop my unique perspective and Style as a singer and educator.
I believe that anyone can learn to sing if they apply the principles of classical technique and practice good breath support/healthy tone production. I also believe it’s very important to apply the principles of characterization to any genre. Understanding and interpreting the lyrics/text is essent

Hello! My name is Kenzie, and I'm really excited to get started working together. My love for the instrument started at a young age while watching Fantasia 2000. I was absolutely mesmerized by the horn solo in Stravinsky's "Firebird" and knew right then that I wanted to play that instrument. I've n

Melanie is the best vocal teacher I've ever met! She's really helpful, but makes me feel super comfortable at the same time. I never feel super awkward while performing for her. I've learned so much in a few months. Absolutely amazing teacher!"
Drummers, you've got it easy. Grab some sticks and something to hit, and your makeshift instrument is just as good as the real thing... right? Sure, maybe if it's just an impromptu jam session with friends. But for proper technique and to really improve on the drums, you'll need the right equipment - which includes your drumsticks. Choosing the right drumsticks can be as selective as buying a violin bow for violinists, and you may need to test out several different types before settling …
