Learn to play one of the most recognizable instruments in the orchestra. The flute plays beautiful melodies and embellishments to add to the mood of many pieces. I can teach you how to have a good tone, how to keep your embuchure strong, and how to keep your hands from cramping up. I will use scales, breathing drills, and support training to allow you to reach your goals. I can take you as far as playing in a mid grade orchestra, and intermediate solo pieces. Contact me to talk about your goals and set up lessons.

There are many ways to learn and get better at flute. Together we will find the way that works best for you. I have designed a plan in which you can choose step by step. You will have 3 options for each goal a) Tradicional school b) Actvice learning c) combining both.
You will improve your playing , learn your favorite pieces, and share them with your friends and family in no time.
With the traditional approach we will follow Taffanel et Gaubert method to get familiar with the notes, music reading, scales, arpeggios and sound, and we will apply all this to repertoire that we will chose according to your level and preferences.
With the Active Learning approach we will first develop the senses and skills we need to play the flute, and use alternative ways to get familiar with solfege, then we will Apply those to the repertoire. (i.e breathing exercises, games with making the sound in bottles, doing excercises to learning the notes.)
We can also combine both methods to get ...

In my studio, I believe that my role is to steer students toward a deeper understanding of themselves, their instrument, and their relationship to music. I tailor my teaching to the needs of my individual students, who currently range from age 7 to adult, often adding improvisation and extended techniques to increase my students awareness of the potential of the flute as a channel for ones creativity.

Music is so much more than organized notes written on a piece of paper. Music is a beautiful language and powerful phenomenon that should be felt, experienced, and shared daily. I want every student to believe and feel that playing the flute is fun and worth sharing with others! I have been playing the flute for 16 years, have nearly a decade of performance experience, and have experience in private flute instruction. I specialize in teaching beginner flute students, and as your teacher, it is my primary goal to not only help you learn how to produce a lovely sound on your instrument and read music but to encourage a deeper love and appreciation for the music itself that goes beyond the classroom. As you learn to breathe life into your flute and play songs, you will also be building a solid foundation in note reading, music theory, sight-reading, proper technique, and more! All ages are welcome, and lessons will be customized and catered to meet your individual needs and goals. ...
