About Laura
I teach voice, piano and guitar. My Music Degree from Point Loma Nazarene University is in Vocal Performance. I love what I do. I teach children through adults. I have lots of experience in worship
leading for church if that is of interest.

*** Lesson Details ***
I am easy-going, but I expect you to practice. I am thorough in my approach. For piano lessons, I utilize the Alfred method. I emphasize note reading and theory in each genre, whether taking guitar, voice or piano. I am currently using Hal Leonard's Guitar Method books for guitar and a few different things for vocal curriculum. All lessons can be supplemented with what you are currently interested in or working towards. I enjoy helping prepare young people for their performances in theatre arts. Lessons can be combined, for example; if you are interested in both voice and
guitar, you can take a longer weekly lesson and have both subjects covered! Weekly assignments are given and checked to see if done before proceeding to the next step! I do not recommend students come every other week. I recommend one lesson per week.

*** Travel Equipment ***
guitar and books. Student provides their guitar during lesson and for piano, must have a piano or keyboard at home for practice.

*** Specialties ***
I specialize in helping young worship leaders hone their gifts. I enjoy preparing people for their musical theatre performances.

Laura took time to learn about my 5 year old son & ask questions in order to connect before just jumping into the guitar lesson.

My son is having a wonderful experience taking lessons online with Laura. She has an exceptional knowledge of music and is able to share this knowledge in a way that is easily understood. I value her positive feedback, timeliness, and consistency. She takes interest in the student and works to draw out their passion for playing the instrument. As a parent, I would highly recommend hiring Laura.

Hello and welcome! I’ve been playing the piano for over 14 years now and have been teaching for the last four years! Within the first few lessons, you'll be able to read music and play simple songs and as time goes on you'll be able to play songs in any genre and style that you so choose. Genres I specialize in are classical piano and pop. Learning technical skills and music theory are also very important to build skill. I love working with students of all ages and experience levels and I can’t wait to meet you!

I graduated from the Willoughby School of Fine Arts studying under one of the most experienced and educated private piano instructors. I have also studied music theory and piano in Europe. I've performed in concerts, churches, schools, various organizations and have been employed as a pianist. I have a passion for teaching and
would love to pass on talent for what I love. My goal is to inspire and motivate students to play the piano better everyday!

I have performed at over 50 different venues in Philadelphia, Wilmington, New York City, Baltimore and New Jersey area. I mainly play piano, electric piano and Hammond organ. As member of a band, I have played Funk, New Orleans, Classic Rock, Blues, Jazz and Fusion. As a solo pianist, my playing style is more into Jazz easy listening (swing, bossanova, foxtrot), Pop/Rock Standard, Blues/New Orleans easy listening and ragtime.

I have been playing keys for over 20 years and graduated from Berklee College of Music with a major in Jazz Composition and Music Production & Engineering. I have taught students, teenagers, adult and small children as young as 5 years old. My teaching is focused on stylistic piano playing (chord playing,
improvisation, transposition) for students over 10 year old with at least 1 year continuous piano training. I certainly welcome piano training for beginners as early as preparatory level. Digital piano and digital Hammond organ are available at my house for piano tutoring should you choose to come to my location.

My graduate study was in Acoustics. I am an acoustical consultant and also an audio engineer. I specialized in room acoustics and electro-acoustics (loudspeaker design). I have a studio at home and open to audio tutoring (recording and mixing) request as well.

I am originally from Indonesia and have already published two books. I can help with Indonesian language tutoring for English native speakers. I have done many seminars/workshops both in English and Indonesian.

I welcome tutoring requests in Music (Piano, Composition/Arranging), Music Theory, Music Production or other Audio/Acoustics related topics.

Piano Lessons
Working with Hadi is a true pleasure. He has an immense amount of knowledge and experience to boot. Hadi is extremely easy to work with and has tons of patience while in the lesson. He has a keen ability to analyze where you are as a player and build a personalized plan to reach your goals. I highly recommend him as a teacher for pursuing jazz piano as well as other contemporary styles.

Chloe K - February 7, 2018
Mr. Hadi is a very patient and knowledgeable piano teacher. My son definitely enjoys learning piano and music theory with him. I can see that Mr. Hadi keeps a progress chart for each of his students,. My son is just a beginner level student, but he still gets personalized content from Mr. Hadi.

My goal is not to show off my son's piano skill at family gathering, but to encourage him appreciate and enjoy music. Thanks to Mr. Hadi for helping me reaching this goal.

Velisia C - February 11, 2018
It was my first piano learning lesson, and Hadi is the greatest teacher. As an adult, I thought it will be hard to understand the material but Hadi gave a very good explanation. Quick responses, and absolutely great value for a private lesson. He is so patient. Worth it!!!

Chris D - February 23, 2018
Hadi S is an excellent teacher, and an even better player. As a teacher, he's patient, knowledgable, and provides excellent advice that helps you develop your skills. And as a player, he is as good as it gets. He can play just about anything. Best was that he takes the time to speak with you and ask what kind of atmosphere you want to create with music, and then does exactly what was asked.

Lessons are easy to understand. Very good at explaining what you are doing wrong and how to fix your mistakes. Music choice is also always fun making practicing more enjoyable.

Hadi has been a fantastic instructor for my 15 year old son, who was a complete beginner. Under Hadi's patient guidance and thoughtful plan, he is playing well and really enjoys the lessons. I would highly recommend Hadi to anyone regardless of experience level. He has expert knowledge but can talk to and work with novices to get them playing right away.

About Brayden
I began my musical journey at the age of 7, when I received my first drum kit and was enrolled in drum lessons by my parents. Though they themselves were not musicians, they were supportive of my interest and eventual obsession with music from the very beginning, which is something I will always be thankful for.

As you may have guessed, I continued to make music and even went on to learn more instruments, including the guitar, bass, piano, and vocals. I didn't know it at the time, but learning all these instruments and understanding how they interact with one another in a band setting was ultimately setting me up to become a proficient musical arranger and songwriter.

During my college years, I was frontman for a band called 'The Skariginals,' which was a family-friendly ska band that ended up being the outlet for a lot of my son
gwriting efforts. In 2014, we were lucky enough to make it on the Vans Warped Tour and play for crowds of thousands of people.

In 2016, I graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with a B.A. in Music Industry Studies, a program which not only emphasized an understanding of recording technology and the music business, but also focused highly on promoting musicianship and music theory comprehension.

Following graduation, I have continued to work in live audio, namely as Audio Visual Coordinator of Associated Students Inc. at Cal Poly Pomona. In this position, I supervise a team of 6 student audio visual technicians, which has allowed me to realize my potential as a mentor and educator as I help to develop my student's skills in audio and visual technology.

I am looking forward to prospect of dedicating more of my time toward helping others begin or continue their own musical journeys. I can proficiently teach drums, guitar, and bass (though we may use the piano to discuss music theory).
I have all the necessary gear to teach these instruments in my home, so in some cases you may not even need to bring anything to your lesson! I am also open to commuting to your own home if this is more comfortable for you or your child.

Thank you so much for taking the time to look at my profile, and I hope you will consider taking your next drum, guitar, or bass lesson with me!

God has given me a love for teaching music, it gives me a chance to raise people up to be skillful musicians and lovers of the Lord. My heart is to see countless souls saved for Jesus' sake through our songs.

I have been playing music for 10 years, studying with teachers consistently. As well, I graduated from a two-year jazz studies program at Saddleback College. As long as I've known the Lord, I have had countless opportunities to be the worship leader for many local churches, and that is so fulfilling to take people deeper into knowing the Lord and singing His heavenly songs. Ultimately I play and teach the following instruments exceptionally: Guitar, Electric/Upright Bass, Vocals, Ukulele, Piano, and Cello.

We all deserve the opportunity to let out a joyful noise of music, and for some, if the desire is to go deeper by learning core
musical principals, then let's get practicin'!

I am a highly experienced guitarist who is fluent in practically every style. Though i specialize in classic rock and heavy metal. I have been playing guitar for 8 years and teaching for 4. My class focuses on giving beginners a great solid set of skills to expand on and find their own voice on guitar, I aim to give students the exact tools for their skill level, I am a very relaxed and friendly teacher, i believe in never overwhelming or discouraging my students by bombarding them with abstract music theory concepts their first day playing guitar. My lessons are designed to slowly and healthily build technical ability in a stress free and helpful environment where every question is answered and explained in detail. Students will learn to play musical concepts, including but not limited to by any means: Scales, chords, modes, songs, impro
visation and techniques from simple palm muting and, to highly technical sweep picking patterns, tapping and string skipping. This is the perfect class for beginners wanting to gain confidence and learn their favorite songs, or hardened guitar shred veterans wanting to jam and learn new tricks.
