Many people want to be able to play their musical instrument by ear training. An important part of ear training is learning the intervals (musical distance) between notes you hear. This is something that got touched on when I was a music major in school & college. I taught myself intervals related to common songs I've heard. By applying this knowledge to the guitar, my fingers will automatically go to the right notes I am "hearing in my head" without really thinking about it...it bypasses my intellect. This can really help decide which position to play a certain musical phrase on a guitar, for example.
On an intermediate level, I can train your ear to tell the difference between major chords, minor chords & more complex chords. I can show you how to find the first note or chord of a song. Then you can learn how to tell what the next chords are in a song, based on its relationship with the first chord.
Also whether your instrument is in tune with other instruments or ...

I am both patient and enthusiastic as a teacher. I love music, and enjoy the opportunity to share my love of the piano with my students. Once I have determined the student's level, I find music that will help them progress towards a higher level.
I studied Musicology and Piano Performance at the Shandong Normal University School of Music, where I graduated with my BA in 2005. I taught music and established a band at a property management institute while a student there, and established my own practice after I graduated. I came to the United

I have arranged many compositions for concert band and orchestra and can show you how to place instruments in an arrangement depending on their range and flexibility with technique. I am currently arranging "Be Thou My Vision" for Concert Band. I have an in-depth knowledge of many instruments' capabilities and could teach you how to adapt them for an arrangement.
With my two Bachelor's degrees in Music Composition and Technology, I began tutoring students in piano, voice, and composition as it was part of my training. I also have experience writing and editing essays, books, and more for several independent clients. I have experience writing my own books as

Melody's an amazing teacher that works hard to help you reach your musical goals. And she's in a band, how awesome is that?! Just remember to sing as much as you can. I always run home to immediately apply what I had learned from the days session. Feel right at home with a highly qualified, super dedicated vocal magician haha! Honestly, you'll feel like it's magic when she helps you discover the voice in you."

Here, Seattle teacher Amber A. explains her interpretation of Beethoven’s "Fur Elise", an ever-popular piece for piano students: Fur Elise, one of the most beloved piano pieces by Beethoven is often a favorite of many piano students. There are a few different performances of this piano music available on the Internet. My favorite performance is the one played by Ivo Pogorelich. …
