Many people want to be able to play their musical instrument by ear training. An important part of ear training is learning the intervals (musical distance) between notes you hear. This is something that got touched on when I was a music major in school & college. I taught myself intervals related to common songs I've heard. By applying this knowledge to the guitar, my fingers will automatically go to the right notes I am "hearing in my head" without really thinking about it...it bypasses my intellect. This can really help decide which position to play a certain musical phrase on a guitar, for example.
On an intermediate level, I can train your ear to tell the difference between major chords, minor chords & more complex chords. I can show you how to find the first note or chord of a song. Then you can learn how to tell what the next chords are in a song, based on its relationship with the first chord.
