I am an active performer and have been teaching voice for 9 years. I tailor each lesson to the student's needs and create a supportive and nurturing environment, which gives the student the opportunity to try new things out and take risks. In addition, I teach a classical technique that can be incorporated in any style of music. In Broadway Singing, I will teach the a healthy technique and apply it to singing in a broadway style.

About Jamie

Soprano Jamie Balter most recently received recognition by both The American Prize in Voice and New York Lyric Opera Theatre Competition for her performance of works by Strauss, Mozart, and Wagner. A native of Baltimore, Ms. Balter earned her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the Universi

Jamie's approachable and friendly personality is reflected in her teaching style - she is not afraid to have you try various unconventional techniques that turn out to be super effective and fun! In the year I've been taking lessons with her, my breath support, technique, and vocal range have all improved significantly - so much so that a high note that I found strenuous a year ago is now almost within my comfort range! She is very receptive to different styles of music, and her suggestions are always challenging, fun, and geared towards developing your voice.

Jamie is a fantastic voice teacher. She is extremely patient and encouraging with me as a beginner. I started with hardly any experience at all, and my singing has already improved significantly after only 8 weeks of lessons. She helped me with song choice and voice repertoire, but is also open to my suggestions. I can highly recommend her for anyone who has been thinking about voice lessons, but has not had the courage to start, even at an older age. Just give it a try!

Jamie is a great teacher. She helped me with my role for Ariel in the Little Mermaid. Not just the singing but also helped with staging and acting song out. shecheered me on and made me feel better about my voice. she is an amazing teacher.

I am very critical of myself and use it to build constructive criticisms I can use to grow. I am hyper analytical, but can adjust to the seriousness of students. I enjoy seeing people grow at a rate they will be satisfied with as well as learning new ways to approach playing the horn.

Hello! I am glad you are interesting in learning the horn. Whether you be a new player or an intermediate looking to get a little better before you head into college, I am happy to teach! I've been playing the drums my whole life. If I had to pick just one instrument to play, it would be the drum-set. I have a real passion for jazz drumming, simply because to me, it offers the most creative freedom for a drummer. I do enjoy and teach many other styles of music as well, including rock, country, blues. I've played professionally in all these types of groups as well. I can teach you to do the same, if that's your goal.

About Brad

Professional musician with 20 years of performing experience, including 7 years in the U.S. Army Band. Have performed with many different types of bands, including jazz, rock, blues, alternative, country, and steel drum. Recorded 5 CD's. Achieved 1st. chair percussionist for 2 state honor bands, wi

Brad does very well with my 8 year old who hashould a very short attention span. He I'd more than accommodating coming to our place for his first lesson and showing him how to put his drum set together.

My daughter has taken four lessons so far and Brad has her playing very well already. He will even play along on the guitar which gives her the feeling of playing in a band. She is having a good time and looks forward to more lessons.

Great Drum Instructor

Brad is currently working with me as a drum instructor. I had been working with another instructor for about 2 yrs when I realized it was time for change. Brad was a perfect fit when we met. Brad works with me once a week for anywhere from 1/2 to 1 hr depending on my needs. He has been so encouraging and supportive of everything I want to learn as well as what he feels I need to learn. My skills are improving everyday with the techniques he uses which fit me very well. I am very blessed to have him as my new drum instructor. He is very good at adapting to where you are and moving forward from there. I would recommend Brad to anyone who is ready to learn the drums no matter at what level you are currently playing.

I invented a music theory game called Match that teaches and reinforces music theory and vocabulary as well as notation in less than half the normal time. Students can learn bass clef and treble clef notes in 30 minutes by playing Match! The kids love the game and don’t even realize they are learning!

This guys personal etiquette leaves much to be desired. Id never let him around my children. He is rude and argumentative when he doesn’t get his way.
Never seen him play out much to have all this expertise he claims either.
Fo yourself a favor and find someone else.

"Brian immediately knew how to adapt to my profile.... not too young, not too talented, not too available, and without any ambition about playing on stage or in a group. I've been learning bass guitar for one month and a half with him, starting at a beginner's level. Last week-end I was able to play a few songs more or less correctly with some friends at a party. Brian has the talent to keep the fun while teaching, and bringing appreciable progress in a very pleasant path."

You can tell this is a passion for her, not just a side gig. She is very knowledgeable and wants to help you excel. The online process is also really great, I was nervous about it not being hands on, but it is so convenient and Megan is really good at showing you what you need to do and explaining things.
