Every student has their own way of learning, and I will find that way! The beginner is brought through the traditional, classic method. But then I branch into modern styles, helping the student to find an original voice and perform music that resonates with today's listening audience. Together, we will explore American music that brings the intermediate and advanced student to understand blues and jazz improvisation, as well as composition.

I want to have you walking out of the lesson happy, and excited to go home and practice some new material. With me you'll learn about guitar, but you'll also learn about music and how playing can help you in life (perseverance, basic math foundations, etc.)

While teaching classical piano, I always try to incorporate the material that students like the most: Holiday songs, Broadway melodies and favorite cartoon songs. All of this definitely adds to the enjoyment of learning how to play. Besides having two recitals a year, I encourage students to play in front of their peers at school, to always play for their families and to participate in various competitions and festivals around the St.Louis area.

With the proper technique, you will be able to improve every aspect of your voice. We will be working on breathing, intonation, resonance, diction, projection, voice registers, body posture and more to be able to take the most advantage of your voice and talent. The first part of the class will be focused on breathing, for it is the key to become an excellent singer. On the second part we will warm-up the voice with different music scales. And at the end we will work on a song of your choice.
