I am very comfortable with Donna. She is very knowledgeable of her talents to teach her students. The 10 lessons I paid for will be all the lessons I need. I wanted to do this to get the basics I need. I will not be signing up for more lessons so please do not charge my credit card for future lessons. I will need conformation from you and a guarantee that my card will not be charged. ASAP
Thank you so much. Nancy Richard

While I certainly place emphasis on technical work and mastery, I also want all students to feel comfortable in expressing their individual voice and interests. I believe that it is incredibly important to encourage students to explore a number of creative avenues within music. Therefore, I am very open to having students explore music outside the classical canon in addition to experimenting with improvisation and composition. An additional component of my teaching style is finding unique and interesting ways to keep students motivated and teaching them how to effectively practice and learn on their own.

About Helen

My teaching philosophy is largely centered around the importance of individuality. The “one size fits all” approach is hardly ever adequate--every student has different needs, strengths, and challenges. While I certainly place emphasis on technical work and mastery, I also want all students to feel

The violin showcases a player's talent more than any other instrument, some say. It's the hardest instrument of them all, others say. Whatever your goals, I am happy to play a role in your musical journey with this instrument. Follow a classical, traditional method of my own development that incorporates the most common repertoire sought after in festivals, auditions for orchestras, and auditions for colleges.

About Tasha

EDUCATION Began playing violin at the age of 11, in 5th grade with my school orchestra. Was quickly told to seek private instruction due to aptitude. Played at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp for 2 summers. Played at Interlochen Summer Camp for 2 summers, concertmaster in 2004. Played in the Symphony

"Robert has a real gift for communication - he was able to not just understand what changes I needed to make in the physical production of my sound, but was the first teacher ever to be able to explain those changes to me in ways I could understand and reproduce. The exercises he provides are fun and build on each other over time. Most importantly, Robert is patient, flexible, and supportive - he's more interested in unlocking your vocal potential (in any field) than in teaching to any specific repertoire or genre. He's also an excellent artist, and will encourage you to access the emotion and the beauty of any piece you work with him. Robert brought a strong artistic sensibility, great compassion and friendship, and a practical understanding of physical technique to my lessons, and I'm a much better singer for it."

"I've really enjoyed being taught by Cole. He is very patient and has been great at answering all my questions. I'm still a beginner but I've tried various methods of learning classical guitar and from what I've seen through the various methods I've used, I believe I've learned more information that is going to project me forward faster through Cole in just a few classes than I have through the other methods I've tried so far."

For this article, we’ll focus on violin exercises that will help build your left hand finger strength so that you can play in tune as …
