Veronica has a beautiful voice, and did so wonderfully with my 4 year old daughter! She really knew how to work with my daughter. She was also very welcoming, and sweet. So glad we found her!

My first lesson went amazing! Veronica spoke with me briefly about my interest and we hit the ground running. I feel like I walked away with much more understanding of music theory then when I walked in. Highly recommended!

I have been teaching Voice and Singing Lessons for 10 years and have performed in many different styles and venues. I instruct students from a classical style of singing to Broadway and Pop styles. I approach lessons from a classical and safe manner and help coach the student in ear training, and proper singing methods to protect the throat and vocal chords. I adjust my methods to each student to make a truly individualized experience for each singer. I plan professional student shows though out the year to give each student a practical application to their instruction!

I am an adult who has no experience with any type of instrument and was very nervous and intimidated at first. Then I met with Michael, and though there was a ton of information we had to go through, he really made me feel at ease. He has the knowledge, patience, and understanding I was really looking for in a teacher and I'm so happy I found him!

"I took up the violin at age 52 and am beginning my 4th year. Nikita is my 3rd teacher and I have been with him for the past 4 months. First of all he is a very positive and upbeat person! He is helping me correct my body mechanics which is so important to having a good sound. He starts with the basics foundations and works with you until you achieve the goal. He has high expectations for his students and the techniques to bring about results. Every lesson you will receive lots of encouragement! I am super excited to be learning from this skilled teacher!"

"I have been a student of Tim’s for a little over a year now. I started playing guitar at age 52 and when I started with Tim I was very close to giving up or settling on just being able to strum a few chords. I have had many hand injuries in the past that have resulted in arthritis and lack of dexterity in my wrists and some of my fingers and I started doubting I would ever be able to progress in my ability to play. From the very first lesson where I told Tim about my hand issues and my frustrations, he told me he was sure we could work around any physical limitations I had, and he was right. Tim has been able to work with me on alternative ways to play the chords I was having trouble with and has shown me that these alternate techniques along with the bit of music theory he sprinkles into lessons can really expand my ability to play.

In the time I have been studying with Tim, I have done more than I thought I ever could. I went from a frustrated beginner guitar player to having enough confidence to play on stage with some of Tim’s other students and I am now looking forward to what I will be able to do on the guitar instead of being frustrated with what I can’t do.

Tim is a talented and passionate musician as well as a knowledgeable and very relatable instructor which is a rare combination and he's also a really great guy and any student of any age or ability will benefit from studying with him."

"Great and Personable Teacher

I took voice lessons from Carolyn for a number of years, and she was a great teacher for both technique and building confidence for public performance. I didn't hesitate to send my son to her for both piano lessons and voice. Her work with him really helped to bring him out of his shell (he was very shy!), to the point where he doesn't hesitate to sing solos and perform piano at both school and church. He took lessons from Carolyn for over 10 years, and is now enjoying choir at college (in an audition-based group). But as good as Carolyn's advanced students are, it was always great fun to go to her shows and recitals to see the young kids perform; she really has a way with them!"

"Most excellent first guitar lesson to where we actually played a song together. I'm blown away. What fun! I only hope I can remember the chords when I practice on my own, and I look forward to my next lesson with Mike. I can already tell I'll be signing up for more lessons. Great teacher, and I can say that because I tried to learn some years ago with another instructor, and he made me feel like I'd just never get it and may as well give up. Mike erased all that negativity for me in 30 minutes. Thanks, Mike!"

"My 16-year old daughter just had her first online lesson with Vandi (to prepare for a vocal audition and a monologue audition as part of a modeling opportunity). Vandi was amazing in so many ways! She asked all the right questions to figure out and understand what my daughter was preparing for and what my daughter needed to accomplish from lessons. She immediately impressed me with her insight of "the industry" and of the process my daughter is undergoing to try to break into that industry. After talking with Vandi, it was so very apparent to me that she has the personal experience and expertise to help my daughter. Vandi was very adept at figuring out my daughter's personality, likes, strengths and weaknesses. From the plethora of songs and monologues Vandi had at her fingertips, after talking/singing with my daughter, together they arrived at suitable options and narrowed it down to a few songs and monologues, which my daughter now gets to select her audition pieces from. My daughter has only had one year of choir in school and was nervous about taking private vocal lessons; however, she enjoyed her first lesson with Vandi so much, she is no longer nervous and looks forward to more lessons...a true testament to Vandi's kindness and teaching abilities! I'm totally impressed by Vandi, can't imagine any other teacher could be better, and so glad we chose her to help our daughter prepare for auditions."

Learning to Sing: The Truth Behind 4 Common Misconceptions

Descartes once said, "I'm tone deaf, therefore I'm hopeless." Wait, no, that's not right.  But the debate is certainly real: Is there such a thing as being "tone deaf"?  And if so, should the hopeless few bother with singing lessons if their dream is to one day perform on stage? Much like mastering any other skill, learning to sing comes with many common misconceptions from outsiders.  So read on - we're about to debunk them! 1. Singing lessons are for people who can't sing.
