I have been teaching Voice and Singing Lessons for 10 years and have performed in many different styles and venues. I instruct students from a classical style of singing to Broadway and Pop styles. I approach lessons from a classical and safe manner and help coach the student in ear training, and proper singing methods to protect the throat and vocal chords. I adjust my methods to each student to make a truly individualized experience for each singer. I plan professional student shows though out the year to give each student a practical application to their instruction!

In the time I have been studying with Tim, I have done more than I thought I ever could. I went from a frustrated beginner guitar player to having enough confidence to play on stage with some of Tim’s other students and I am now looking forward to what I will be able to do on the guitar instead of being frustrated with what I can’t do.
Tim is a talented and passionate musician as well as a knowledgeable and very relatable instructor which is a rare combination and he's also a really great guy and any student of any age or ability will benefit from studying with him."
I took voice lessons from Carolyn for a number of years, and she was a great teacher for both technique and building confidence for public performance. I didn't hesitate to send my son to her for both piano lessons and voice. Her work with him really helped to bring him out of his shell (he was very shy!), to the point where he doesn't hesitate to sing solos and perform piano at both school and church. He took lessons from Carolyn for over 10 years, and is now enjoying choir at college (in an audition-based group). But as good as Carolyn's advanced students are, it was always great fun to go to her shows and recitals to see the young kids perform; she really has a way with them!"
Descartes once said, "I'm tone deaf, therefore I'm hopeless." Wait, no, that's not right. But the debate is certainly real: Is there such a thing as being "tone deaf"? And if so, should the hopeless few bother with singing lessons if their dream is to one day perform on stage? Much like mastering any other skill, learning to sing comes with many common misconceptions from outsiders. So read on - we're about to debunk them! 1. Singing lessons are for people who can't sing.
