About Janet
I am outgoing, encouraging, friendly, and have a good sense of humor. Music is a passion, and teaching is my vocation. I have been on the music faculty of Colorado State University, University of Puget Sound, and Duke University, and I was the contracted keyboardist with the Southwest Symphony Orchestra for many years. These professional teaching experiences have taught me much about teaching and the needs of students, and all this I bring to your lesson. My musical interests are not strictly classical. I adore jazz and pop and was even the lobby pianist for the Westin Hotels. I am here to help you with whatever style music you love.

*** Lesson Details ***
General Information about lessons—
• In-studio lessons on grand piano and/or harpsichord
• Ages 4 and to 99 years of age (and older!!)
• Levels beginner and advanced

• Classical, Pop, Broadway, and Standards

I offer lessons always with a smile, encouragement, and plenty of positive feedback. I have many years of experience teaching piano and music theory, and I promise that your lessons will be enjoyable and rewarding. Learning music must be built upon a strong relationship between teacher and student, and this is relationship involves good communication, honesty, open mindedness, and a recognition that all students are different and at various skill levels. These are my guiding principles. Although I am a classically trained pianist, I have experience as keyboardist with an eclectic trio playing anything and everything from pop to jazz, and as the lobby pianist with the Westin Hotels. I approach teaching by first knowing and understanding the student's musical goals, and teaching fundamentals, theory, and technique through the style of music that the student wants to learn. The Alfred Piano Methods—used by many universities—is my preferred instructional books for the beginner and intermediate student, but I am also quick to supplement with additional FUN material tailored to the student’s interests whenever possible. Learning music will promote confidence in your abilities and satisfaction in your accomplishments!

*** Studio Equipment ***
Living room w/ grand piano, harpsichord, and seating for parents

*** Specialties ***
I enjoy teaching students of all ages and have had success with students as young as 4 as well as 65 years of age. Particularly satisfying is helping adults reach life-long goals of learning music. I excel in teaching the classical repertory, but I have a passion for popular music and other types as well.

About Dr. Jonathan
Jonathan began his musical studies at age 7, after falling in love with his first classical music cassette tape given to him the prior year. Jonathan trained as a pianist throughout his childhood, and studied with the venerated Harvey Wedeen at Temple University in Philadelphia through middle and high school. He made his orchestral debut as soloist with the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra at age 15, after winning their instrumental competition. Continuing his piano studies into college, where piano was his primary instrument, he completed a bachelors in music at the Eastman School of Music. During these college years, he played regular outreach concerts as part of a chamber group for a myriad of organizations. He has given solo recitals, accompanied other musicians, and played in chamber groups. He now holds a doctorate in music from the Uni
versity of Maryland at College Park.

During high school, Jonathan became fascinated by writing his own music, and now holds three degrees from preeminent schools in the field of music composition. His music has been performed by numerous ensembles and musicians, including the Kronos Quartet, Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Eastman Musica Nova, and Knox-Galesburg Symphony. He was recently a featured guest composer at the Bowling Green State University New Music and Art Festival. His piece for stings, Nightscape, has been a particular audience favorite and performed by orchestras across the US. Jonathan also enjoys doing collaborative and multimedia projects with local choreographers, videographers, and musicians.

As a teacher, Jonathan is exceptionally patient, always engaged with his students’ progress, and actively listens to what his students want from their lessons and in helping them decide on the music they want to play. He takes a very practical and holistic approach to teaching keyboard, and always makes sure to discover the fun in learning. Jonathan strongly believes that all students, no matter where one is in life, possess the ability to achieve success in their lessons – and that his job is to guide them to unlock and discover their potential, to inspire their curiosity, and to help them advance their musical skills on their chosen instrument. Jonathan has also taught courses in theory, aural skills, sight-singing, and composition at the University of Maryland and Ball State University. He has studied music pedagogy, and actively pursues researching about new methods and developments on the learning process.

Alane worked with me when no one else would. I am missing part of my finger, so that creates an extra challenge when playing the clarinet. Alane helped me develop a technique that would work for me and my abilities. I was able to meet my goals and play all the parts in songs that I wasn't able to before.

About Isaac
At the age of 26, American conductor Isaac Kramer is already establishing himself as one of the most impressive of his generation. His cross-genre musical acumen has resulted in a career that encompasses artistic activities spanning the symphonic, operatic, musical theater, and pops repertoire.

Isaac began gaining noticeable recognition in 2012, a year in which he was a Semi-Finalist for the American Prize in Conducting. That same summer he was a member of the Castleton Festival Orchestra, under the direction of the late Maestro Lorin Maazel, and was invited to join the orchestra on a groundbreaking international tour to Oman. In the year that followed, he served as Assistant Conductor to Metropolitan Opera Conductor J. David Jackson, at the Siena Music Festival in Italy. This included assisting with productions of Turn of the Screw,
Cendrillon, La Forza Del Destino, and I Vespri Siciliani, as well as several concerts.

A graduate of the New England Conservatory of Music, Isaac completed a Bachelor of Music in Trombone Performance, with Honors, under the tutelage of long-time Boston Symphony Orchestra and Boston Pops trombonist, Norman Bolter. During that time he simultaneously studied with BSO Associate Conductor, Marcelo Lehninger, with further mentorship from Bill Drury and Stephen Lord. His time at NEC was preceded by intensive study at the prestigious Orange County School For The Arts, where he received hands-on experience conducting his peers in the various school ensembles. During that time he also served as an apprentice to conductor Barry Silverman, who continues to serve as a mentor to this day. As a result, Isaac is regularly invited back to the school as a guest conductor and mentor to currently enrolled students.

His affinity for conducting pops repertoire was further cultivated during his time as Music Director of Celebrity Cruises, a multi-faceted role that entailed conducting and artistic planning and administration for all music programs in the Celebrity fleet, including the Theatre Orchestra.

Following in the footsteps of his icons, namely Leonard Bernstein and Gustavo Dudamel, Isaac has a passionate desire to bring music education and appreciation of the arts to all children in the belief that music can be a unifying force in the world. In 2016, Isaac co-founded the New York Conductors Symphony (NCS), in partnership with acclaimed violinist Eric Silberger. This innovative ensemble plays a pivotal role in fostering the next generation of conductors by providing them with opportunities to develop their talents in a creative environment of the highest artistic standard.

He continues to develop his unique skill set under the guidance of his current mentor, music director and conductor for broadway national tours, symphony pops guest conductor and arranger, Maestro David Andrews Rogers.

About Brittany
As a professional vocalist, I have gladly pursued performance opportunities in varying genres, including opera, oratorio, musical theatre, choral, and solo recital work. My love of music began to grow into a passion as I studied and gained my Bachelor of Arts in Music and Theatre at Concordia University, St. Paul. I then went on to receive my Master of Music from the University of Minnesota. Over the last few years I have taught private voice lessons within three separate high schools, given instruction at an elementary charter school and, have privately taught students of varying ages.

Inspired with a love of teaching, I hope to give my students the tools for healthy singing, guiding them as they find their unique voice. I work with my students toward the goals they set for themselves and encourage them to use their voice to the best
of their ability.

Taking lessons with Brittany really helped grow my confidence as a singer. I never felt like she was trying to make me have a cookie-cutter voice because her teaching was so individualized to my specific needs. She is incredibly personable and anything but intimidating, a very important trait in a teacher, especially for a student who is lacking some initial confidence. She was smiley and positive in every lesson, and I really appreciated thay. Overall, Brittany is an outstanding teacher!

If you are seeking private voice instruction, I cannot recommend Brittany Rudoi highly enough. I have had the privilege of working as Brittany's colleague in both a performing and teaching capacity. She carries the grace, warmth, and expressive creativity of her singing seamlessly into her private studio lessons. She has a gift for meeting each student's individuals needs and works diligently to build up, not only the voice, but the performer as a whole. Her knowledge of vocal technique is strong, efficient, and flexible. I would wholeheartedly trust Brittany's teaching methods with my most precious beginning voices all the way up through my competitive adult students. Eugene, Oregon is lucky to have such a wonderful teacher as an addition to its thriving music community!

Brittany is an absolutely phenomenal teacher! I had her as a voice teacher in high school when I was still trying to find my voice. She asked me what it was that I wanted to do and planned the lessons to fit my wants and help my voice to grow. She is very knowledgeable about the aesthetics of the voice and helps students discover their own voice.
