Book NowMy focus as a teacher is to coach my students to their best performance. As they play, I encourage them to listen to their sound and then use what they hear to shape their growth. I then add to their thoughts, pointing out the positive aspects of their performance and giving them directions for how to improve.
About Joshua
I have been passionate about classical music my entire life. In college, I played in the university orchestra, formed a string quartet, and produced a daily radio show about music. Since I love music history and theory, I actually have two Master’s degrees, one in cello and the other in musicology.

He really knows his music and can teach in a way that gets my son directly into actually playing music, which is exactly what I was after.
He’s really flexible and can take anything and turn it into something good.
The pace was spot-on, matching perfectly the maximum my son could understand at the time.
I think my son learnt the absolute maximum he could in that short space of time and he learned a LOT.

Randy is every creative, spontaneous, disorganized person's dream come true. Someone who helps you build the connection to your imagination to create whatever music you want in reality. He understands the common misconceptions people have that cripple their creativity and he will get you out that box really fast. Randy works to educate you and give you tools to where you don't need him. That's how much love this teacher has for his students. There is a lot of potential people have that they miss out on because they don't have the right teacher. So going to list some specifics.
1) If your a begginer artist rather if sing or have a different instrument your trying to improve with, know if you start with Randy you will be in GREAT hands. Music theory in general can be confusing but its the foundation any serious artist needs to understand to create their own music. Randy is great with explaining and helping you understand whatever area your struggling with.
2) Randy is all about organization and helping you set the right goals. Alot of your visions and ideas as a artist can be all over the place and knowing where to start can be overwhelming. First session you will be leaving with a game plan that will not fail so long as you do your homework.
3) For the singers who don't think they can sing certain songs know that Randy is very talented in making music. He can put any song you want to sing in your own range and is all about you sounding like you. He will help you discover what chords and melodies sound good with your voice. This is very important because again you get out of that limited box holding back your creativity.
4) This is the most important thing. Accountability.
Randy will make it very clear to you with everything he gives you that its on you to practice these things. He doesn't do a half job and he is thorough. He is the kind of professional you need to work with and I promise if you do book with him you will not look at alot of other teachers the same. He is worth every penny!
So in conclusion if you want to sing well or make your own tunes in no time, Randy is the man you need to talk to. All you gotta be is disciplined and do your homework. This teacher makes it fun and exciting."

Fawn knows what she is doing. WIth a hit song under her belt, songs in film and television AND all the TV appearances and live shows she does, you would think she would be snobby or pretentious. Not this one! She is completely down to earth and eager to share her experience and her career with every one she teaches. One of things that impresses me about Fawn is the fact that she IS so busy, yet finds time for text messages and phone calls when I have a question about voice or piano. She has helped undo damage to my vocal chords from a previous teacher and she has improved my range, taught me correct breathing and given me a boost of confidence. Because of her correct teaching, my vocal chords are stronger than ever! She has even showcased me at some red carpet events to help my career. She is the real deal. She doesn't waste people's time and gets results very quickly. I appreciate that about her. I have had other teachers stretch things out to make more money. Fawn clearly does this for the love of it, not for the money. If you are lucky enough to be in this woman's presence, you are blessed. She is a true gift to every one who meets her, particularly her students."

Playing piano doesn't have to be limited to practicing scales and chords. You can have a lot of fun if you find the piano notes for songs on the radio or classic pop and rock tunes you've always liked, and go from there! This is a great way to break up the monotony of rigorous practice, and keep yourself motivated and having fun as you learn how to play. Finding piano notes for songs isn't usually that hard, either - you just have to know the right places to look. Here are a few of our favorite …
