I am a certified Suzuki Method teacher, currently trained in levels 1-3, with plans for further certification training.

I am fun and supportive. I'm having just as much fun teaching as I want my students to have learning, and creating a patient, supportive environment is integral to my students' development.

I teach all ages and abilities. I am experienced in a variety of teaching levels, from beginning to advanced studies.

Each student has lessons structured according to their individual goals, learning speeds, and musical levels. I teach students of all levels positive playing habits and how to avoid bad habits, and I teach these using the standard classical repertoire for violin and viola.

I emphasize technique and the fundamentals of theory, with students of all levels so they will have the essential building blocks and tools they need to succeed.

I am professional. I have received some of the best education in my field, and with over 20 years of experience in music

Anna is very good at explaining terms and methods in a way that can be easily understood by a novice such as myself by catering to one's style of learning while at the same time ensuring that the student remain grounded on the fundamentals whether it is in the finger positioning, bowing strokes, or proper posture. I love how she is able not only to identify things that I might be doing wrong but also solutions to difficulties that I might be having during the lessons. As a result, I am very happy at how I have progressed in my skill level since I started a couple of months ago. She is very patient, listens to concerns of the student, very easy to talk to, and has a laid back learning environment. I would highly recommend her to anyone I know who might be interested in learning the violin, whether young or old like myself.

Have you ever had the chills listening to your favorite song? Have you ever wanted to write music that meant something to you? In my lessons, I work with my students, no matter their pre-existing background knowledge, to understand their own heart-music, and how to make music that communicates their own thoughts more effectively. I have experience working with musical ensembles of many different shapes and sizes, as well as the study of the anthropological meaning of music and art in general. In taking lessons, I hope all of my students grow to become better musicians and more thoughtful people, learning not only about music, but their own perception of music.

About Jeffrey

As an award-winning composer, whose music has been described as "what Renaissance composers would have written if they had heard gospel music," I enjoy being known for music that is both intellectually rigorous and pleasant to the ears. My daughter has been taking flute lessons from Heidi for the past 4months now and I have seen tremendous improvement in her. Heidi has a fantastic knowledge of flute. She super nice, very patient, fun and very encouraging which is key component for kids to continue to learn any instrument they are passionate about. When we started first, my daughter was asked what her goals are and she has been teaching based on that. All her lessons are thorough and everything is documented on skype for future reference. My daughter loves Heidi and she looks forward to her class every single time. I’m lucky to have a teacher like her for my daughter and I would highly recommend her.

Chelsea is a fantastic teacher who combines a disciplined mastery of the harp with a genuine understanding of each student. She is engaging and kind with children and a lovely person and teacher in every way. We love working with her and it has been extremely gratifying to witness our children’s progress under her tutelage ! I feel so lucky to have her as our teacher.

Chelsea is WONDERFUL! She has supported every aspect of our son’s development with regard to his harp playing and we are so grateful for her support!! Chelsea is a top professional and anyone would be lucky to have her teach music!!
Stephanie
I had the benefit of taking lessons from Chelsea after I had been learning to play for a bit over a year. She was both encouraging and warm personally, and gave me several ways to think about technique, which helped a great deal. She was able to give me insights to help me get into music theory, as well as technique and practical questions, all so valuable for a beginner!

"Nick is awesome! He has been working with our two young sons, ages 9 & 7, for close to a year now and they have made tremendous progress. He is especially skilled in meeting them where they are at, whether they are tired or unfocused, or have too much energy, he is always willing to listen to them and find an access point into their world of child-like creativity. He also asks them what songs they are into and even has transcribed the songs for them so they can learn their favorites. A real good mix of formal training and teaching to the individual child. Nick is, above all, patient and kind. The two best qualities any teacher can possess. I can not recommend him enough to parents of children, or anyone for that matter. I might even sign myself up in the near future!"
