Book NowMy personal pedagogy is a combination of the basic technical and theoretical aspects of the instrument and what music the student is interested. It is paramount that students of all levels are learning their instrument through performing their favorite music. All necessary technical exercises can be adapted to a specific genre of music. I have many resources and a vast library of literature available for my lessons that I have compiled through my years at Berklee studying with the world's greatest bassists and theorists.
My main goal in every lesson is to be as time efficient as possible. We start with introducing new warm up exercises or new approaches to playing the instrument with confidence and facility. This is important for students of all levels so we can learn the correct ways to execute our favorite music in the most efficient way possible. From there I always spend the most time on the student's goals, like learning a new song or perhaps theory and improvisation. My ...

I went to Eric because I wanted to improve my speaking voice to record Voice Over material. After a few lessons it turns out that I can actually sing!
Well, not really but it's not Eric's fault. I will continue to take class for as long as I can, because it has helped me with all aspects of using my voice. And I understand a lot more about singing and voice. Actually I am re listening and appreciating even more all the great music I have heard my whole life. I think any other teacher would have not awakened this level of enthusiasm in me. He is great."

What is singular in Howard’s approach to teaching the piano is that he incorporates his understanding of life itself into every aspect in how to play the instrument. By this it is remarkable how Howard applies his understanding of a person’s physiology to the most effective extent in order to achieve maximum technique, while always retaining and building on the nature of the player’s individual character/personality. Howard employs logic, common sense, very clear exercises in technique that even include the nature of gravity as in the physical use of the hands, wrists, fingers when playing the piano. Howard makes the learning of any aspect of playing the piano a wondrous journey of discovery and accomplishment. I cannot recommend him more."

The piano is, by nature, unethical, discuss. For students in music programs or conservatories, this is a common essay prompt you'll come across.
