I earned MM in Jazz Performance, Bass Guitar Major, in 1993, and play/teach lessons for Bass Guitar since that time. My prospective students will receive rigorous training in both Bass Guitar performance and musicianship focused on the specifics of the subject of study. The level that we would begin lessons with will depend on the student's abilities and potentials. We will strive to create professional and friendly working atmosphere, and will begin lessons with careful assessment of the student's performing abilities; we will also set our goals, based on both individual expectations of students and on professional experience of the instructor. My teaching philosophy lies on three aspects; on patience with people; on love for the subject of teaching/study; and on rigorous training, offered to people, for their benefit and general musical development.

As one of my students you will be encouraged to learn some songs by ear and be creative by making up their own pieces. You will definitely need to learn to read notes, as well.
Each lesson will have you playing what you practiced during the week. And each lesson will also have you learn something to take home to perfect.
But most of all, I would hope you would leave with a sense of well-being, confidence and encouragement in the wonderful experience of making music on the piano.
I love for my students to perform as much as possible. We play in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and recitals. If a student comes up with a performance venue, we will certainly try to do it.
About Sue
I have been teaching for years with all ages of students. Piano lessons will include learning to read notes, ear training, theory and technique, creating your own music and learning to play the piano with others. The curriculum varies with individual needs. My philosophy is a little laid back but

Whether your acoustic guitar is brand new or gently used, you can do a few simple things to keep it in great condition!
