Whether it be on trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano or voice I will consistently stress fundamentals that lead students towards the musicians they strive to be. I feel incorporating music that is relevant to the student and his or her goals is paramount and doable! I will always demonstrate the techniques and ideas I espouse. Lastly, I show my students the joy music has put in my life and in turn, show them how to play music
towards the same ends.

I loved working with Rick. He works in a very different way, an approach that is really beneficial for me as an adult beginner. He teaches music structure and we worked with a singer songwriter that I love. He is pleasant and patient and very knowledgable. I highly recommend giving Rick a try for looking at playing music from a new angle.

Aaron is soooo patient and encouraging. He has been really helpful in a few important ways. First, he has helped find great tunes for me to learn by sight reading. Second, he has been very willing to create little leads for me to take when I'm playing a wide variety of songs with my family's band. Third, and most importantly, he has challenged me to begin the process of really hearing music so I can improvise (the thing I most want to do but am most challenged with).

Aaron is a wonderful and patient instructor. He has made me fill at ease during our lessons and I've learned more in the last few weeks than I thought would be possible.
