Bachaoler's of Music from Columbia College Chicago
Music is an essential element of a child's education, whether your training to perform at a campfire or Carnegie Hall. My approach is student-driven and collaborative. I help guide my students through songs of their choice, incorporating skill-level appropriate theory and ear training techniques. This allows kids to develop an understanding of the music they're most passionate for, helping their interest and enthusiasm to grow.

I've been contributing compositions to and conducting for ensembles of all sizes (3-piece rock band to 17-member big band) in a professional context since I was 21. You can hear my work on the records "Siglo XXI" and "Rebel Portraiture", and you can catch it live with the Sean Imboden Large Ensemble and the Liberation Music Collective. While studying there, also contributed horn arrangements for soul, indie, and rock bands in Bloomington IN over 4-5 years.
My writing has been given positive reviews by CitizenJazz (FR) and AllAboutJazz (USA), among others--and I know I can help you become a better composer/songwriter, no matter what your style.
I have a STRONG background in music theory and can teach you how to write better music for whatever group you want to play it. Come learn how to get what sounds are in your head into the air!
I'm a multi-instrumentalist and composer with two degrees earned concurrently from Indiana University--one a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the College of Arts and Sciences, the other a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from the internationally renowned Jacobs School of Music. Upon arriving

He focuses on getting me in my best vocal form with good technique but also teaches how to master the microphone which is its own technique in itself, I’m so much more comfortable recording and preforming live after his classes, and my voice has never sounded better.
It’s so hard to find a good teacher that has so much knowledge but also makes the class fun and light!"
