I’ve been playing guitar for 18 years. Ive been doing it for a living for 16 years. Acoustic, electric, rock, jazz, country, funk, lead, rhythm, flatpick, fingerpick...pick a style I’ve played it. My lesson plan will expand your knowledge of chords and scales, and how to use them. I’ll give you exercises to increase speed, dexterierity. You’ll learn music theory while learning your favorite songs, and learn how to apply your knowledge to make learning and writing new songs easier. You will learn something new every lesson, and see noticeable progress after the first couple of sessions.

Hi there! I'm Arianna and I have been playing as well as learning piano for the past 16 years. I've been teaching for about 5 years now. I work with kids from the age range of 5 to 17, beginner and immediate levels. I am good with children and know how to connect with them on a level that they (hopefully) would be comfortable with me. I was a little girl once, learning an instrument I had never touched before, so I know what it's like to be in that position which is what helps me be able to understand the children and teach them in ways they don't feel too pressured.

About Arianna

Hey there! I have been teaching for about 5 years now with roughly 16 years of playing as well as learning piano. I work great with kids because I understand them and take time to get to know them as well as make them feel comfortable around me and not feel pressured or bored during lessons.

In each lesson, I will identify immediate issues then put you on a weekly regimen to move you toward vocal balance.

I use Gary Catona’s Vocal Building technique to improve your muscular strength. After that, I will use a two-fold system of vowels (Catona) and consonant-vowel speaking combinations (Bauer) to balance your voice by training the articulators to work in tandem with your vowel placement enhancing your natural sound, support and create balanced breath pressure.

Specific to learning the Catona Method:
This is an intensive vocal work out learning the fundamentals of Gary Catona’s Vocal Building method. We will cover all mouth positions and how to execute each exercise properly. It usually takes two 1 hour lessons to get a grasp on the Basics.

*Please note I do not have to teach you the Catona method, but I highly recommend trying it.*

Each lesson is recorded (mp3) and emailed so you can listen and practice. Practicing is imperative to building your vocal muscles,

Excellent 1st lesson. She was very nice, very knowledgeable, and very understanding. Explain things throughly and actually works with you. She's very organized and has a system that seems fail proof. I feel like I will definitely be making great progress and will achieve all the goals that I set out for myself plus more. I don't usually write reviews but this one was well deserved. Definitely looking forward to my next lesson and many more to come

"She’s a terrific teacher! She’s scholarly and intellectual herself, years of research and study on her own, knows the fundamental mechanics, physiological and mental, to learning to sing properly and conveys it in a very clear fashion. She builds a singer; she doesn’t just do superficial pitch coaching."

"Daniel did such an amazing job working with my son on his electric guitar lessons!

From a parent's perspective, he charged a very reasonable rate, he was willing to work with our schedules, and his communication with me was both timely and professional.

My son loved working with Daniel because, while he did dedicate time to teaching my son the fundamentals, he also allowed my son to bring in pieces of music that were self-selected. Being able to learn excerpts from his favorite songs really motivated my son to pick up his guitar instead of his XBox controller!

I highly recommend Daniel as a teacher. He is knowledgable, encouraging, and passionate about music in a way that is contagious. We wish he still lived close enough to us to continue lessons!"

"A whole new world has been discovered through voice lessons with Teresa! I began with learning the guitar and I am still learning and playing. But Teresa discovered that singing along with my playing would help. Soon thereafter, Teresa discovered that I had a decent voice. I had always wanted to sing but never took my desires seriously. I requested that Teresa not only continue teaching me the guitar, but voice lessons as well. I have discovered a talent and gift in myself that I really never knew was there. Teresa has been such an inspiration with my singing and I seem to be singing everywhere I go with every song I hear. Her inspiration has also given me confidence because singing can be very intimidating especially in front of others. Through Teresa's instructions, motivation, and extraordinary teaching techniques, I am now playing the guitar and singing along as well as singing without the use of the guitar. After eight short months, I have gained the confidence and ability to sing. In fact, a good friend of mine who is getting married in October has asked me to sing their wedding song. Teresa has been not only been an inspiring and motivating, but has dug deep to bring out the very best in me- Hidden talents and gifts that I never thought I had. But Teresa saw them and took the time to nourish them. But my best complement to this wonderful teacher and mentor is that during my weekly lesson, she makes me feel as though I am her only student. The attention and patience is unparalleled. She has given me a gift in music and I found a gift in her!"

Why Taking (Video) Voice Lessons from Christina Aguilera is a Bad Idea

Can you learn to sing through videos, like the ones advertised with Christina Aguilera? Read on for voice teacher Elaina R.'s thoughts...  Have you seen the online ads offering a voice lesson course taught by Christina Aguilera? Promos for the course have inundated many Facebook feeds, and since I know many professional singers and voice teachers, I’ve been able to watch them react to the ads. Most voice teachers have been amused, terrified, or both by the prospect of people learnin …
