Rhythm guitar, picking patterns and reading notes on the guitar are all taught.

About Kathryn

Kathy believes that variety is the spice of not only life, but also music. Raised singing folk music with a musical family (think accordions, guitars and lots of vocal harmonies), she learned guitar and piano at an early age, but began singing even earlier. Her quest to give the world the best

My experience with Kathy has been great. It's been roughly five months and I learned a lot and I'm also much more confident to sing. Learning the right techniques is crucial. Kathy is extremely patient and she adapts the classes to the student goals and aspirations. English is not my first language and she was also always very respectful and patient in explaining everything twice or maybe three times until I get it.
Kathleen
Kathryn has a terrific demeanor, and provides clear, thoughtful suggestions for technique!

"Learned a LOT of great stuff in just the past 3 years from Trevor! He started out as my Middle School Guitar Teacher, but wound up being a personal guitar tutor for my brother and myself until this day. Taught me just about everything I know about guitar scales, AND has refined my technique drastically!"

"I never had a tutor before, so it was difficult for me to choose from the wide arrange of tutors there are. But I think Dan was the right choice. He's very professional and goes far and beyond to help his students understand how certain things are when playing the violin. I would definitely recommend Dan to anyone looking for a violin tutor."

"Andrew plays in my big band the Reisterstown Jazz Ensemble as my 2nd seat and soloist trumpet player. His proficiency and musicianship is at a high level that I you can count on that he knows how to handle his instrument. He has a very patient and calm personality that a trumpet teacher should have to handle students. I very much recommend to have Andrew as a trumpet teacher for anyone starting and continue trumpet lessons. -Scott Cater, Director of the Reisterstown Jazz Ensemble and former trumpet teacher."

"Adam helped me immensely with learning how to play the piano right from scratch. I had no real music background, but Adam was very patient and encouraging. He taught me good ways to practice so that I could make progress and feel confident. I was able to learn some advanced classical pieces. He is extremely punctual and flexible with schedules and goes out of his way to accommodate mine. I am happy to recommend him to anyone and learners of all levels. Thank you Adam for being so patient and accommodating and above all for teaching me how to play the piano!"

Why It's Never Too Late For Violin Lessons

Think you're too old to learn how to play the violin? Nonsense! Take a look as Los Angeles teacher Travis H. dispels the myth and explains why taking music lessons as a later age can actually be beneficial... The age at which a violinist begins playing is an interesting thing. Most of my violinist friends started when they were in elementary school, and just about everyone says that starting at an early age is the right thing to do. The music bug didn’t bite me until I was 16, and …
