It was an honor and a pleasure working with Gwen. Due to personal circumstances, I had to stop working with her, but I highly recommend her as an instructor. She's very knowledgeable, accommodating, and made me feel comfortable. You'll find yourself in good hands with her.

I whole-heartedly recommend Ryan as a private instructor. My middle school-aged son had enjoyed learning to play saxophone in his school band, but towards the end of his 1st year was getting bored by the slow pace. After beginning lessons w Ryan (through the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music) his interest, enthusiasm & skill improved dramatically & he began to excel as a musician. Ryan was soon guiding him through more complicated compositions, and the joy of playing was evident every time my son picked up his sax. With Ryan’s training, he learned to prepare for auditions, and as a result has won a seat (and solos!) in several State & city select bands, jazz ensembles and every group his school has to offer.

Ryan’s personality was a great fit for my son. He’s very professional, while being completely approachable, patient & encouraging, and his love of music is passed along to his students. His versatility & broad knowledge of musical genres allow him to introduce new directions for his students to explore. With Ryan, my son studied classical compositions and also deepened his interest in Jazz. The chance to work with Ryan on his improv skills was very valuable to him...it brought a new level of confidence & comfort to his playing.

I would recommend Ryan to anyone looking for a private music instructor, either for themselves or for their son or daughter!

Playing saxophone for 6 years now, I have much experience teaching beginners and early intermediate students play an instrument that is fun and easy to learn! I have a large focus on music theory and sight reading to excel students to expand their musical knowledge to other instruments as well and to understand music fully!

About Syarra
With over 10 years experience playing and loving music, I am excited to introduce teaching to my career! I currently coordinate one of the most successful music schools in Clearwater, and teach around 10 private students. Briefly teaching during my high school years, and now teaching privately for about a year, I believe my passion is in teaching music. Currently, my students range from the age of 4 to the age of 16. During my high school years, I specialized in helping and guiding special needs children.

My goal for the next 5 years is to become the best music teacher I can be, and hopefully open and run my own music school. My focus when teaching lessons is not just to teach my student how to play their instrument, but teach them the ins ans outs of the instrument itself. I have a focus on music theory, but most importantly I want t
he student to have fun and love every lesson they take!

I am excited to share my passion and knowledge of music to the Tampa Bay area!

Hi! I have a Bachelors in Music Education and have experience teaching many beginning students! I have 3 children and decided to give up regular teaching to be with them. I believe that tone production is the most important area of study. It doesn’t matter what you can play if it doesn’t sound good. I can’t wait to help more students love to “play” on their instruments!

About Kim
Hello! I started my love of music at a young age with my family playing and singing at family functions. That turned into a wanting to learn how to play the flute and I went up through high school with that instrument. After high school I branched out more into vocal performance. After that I joined a traveling performance group. No not the circus! I joined Drum and Bugle Corp. They taught be how to play the Baritone and I marched a straight Baritone. I then learned the Mellophone and marched that after. Since I had experience with Drum Corp Marching I taught over 10 different marching programs over many different years. I graduated from College with my Bachelors in Music Education and was a music director until I had my children and decided to give up regular teaching. After all of the years I spent honing my craft I decided t
o continue giving lessons. I have the most experience with Flute, but can teach many other instruments: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, baritone/euphonium, piano.
I have worked with many different age groups and levels of ability. I am happy to help you learn to have fun and "play" your instrument!
