Being new to the online lesson format, I was skeptical at first, and have waited about 5 lessons to write this review. I am really glad we (randomly) picked Lucas to help my 6th grade son get started with saxophone. I'm so impressed with Lucas' ability to gauge through at at times imperfect internet connection what feedback to give my son. Lucas is excellent at giving instruction in understandable, and usable bites of information. The lessons are well paced and I can hear my son improve over the course of every lesson. The convenience of the online lesson cannot be overstated- we live in a rural area where finding an teacher and getting to a lesson was challenging to fit into our schedules, so it is amazing to have such great instruction on a schedule that fits in with our life. I would definitely recommend Lucas specifically, and the takelessons format to anyone looking for saxophone lessons.+ Read More

My son got continually got better over the coarse of his lesson.
I love how patient Lucus is.
What a great first lesson! I sat in the other room overhearing my ten-year-old son's first meeting with Lucas and it was fantastic! He was easy to talk to, super informative and jumped right in. We're already looking forward to next week.
A really talented teacher!
Great lesson with lots of help.
I had my third lesson today and I am already seeing a big improvement. I am excited for my future lessons with Lucas to see how much more I can learn. He is a great instructor.

Lucas is a great teacher. He has helped my daughter with her low and high notes and identified an issue with her clarinet which was making it difficult for her to play low. Highly recommend!
Actually overwhelmed with the kind of timely response I got from Mr. Lucas. Was frustrated and felt stuck before getting in touch with Mr.Lucas but not only was he helpful in recognizing the mistakes I was making but helped me keep my spirits up.
He's a great teacher with challenging pieces.
Great saxophone instructor, couldn’t have asked for better.

Fantastic saxophone player but more importantly understands the complexity of music and conveys it to the student in an individual and flexible manner.

Online lessons are not the best method for me but I am grateful to be able to be taught by Lucas. I am learning a lot and as soon as I am able to put it all into practise I will be happy. Bridging the gap between understanding and ability is hard. Looking forward to having more lessons.+ Read More

Lucas is a great instructor, however the internet connection/ experience for the online lessons keeps me from giving a 5 star review.
Very helpful. Really enjoyed my lesson.
We worked on going over the break. I learned there is an alternate fingering for F#.
Lucas is very talented and knowledgeable. He has shown me tips and techniques that are not in the beginner or intermediate lesson books. I am a beginner sax player and his insights on the saxophone and music have helped me greatly.
Lucas did a great job in helping my daughter with clarinet. Easy to work with and helped her improve greatly!
In just one lesson, intoduced the capacity of the saxophone to produce a classical tone, and opened my eyes to the many intricacies of the saxophone. Great experience!
