Clarinet Lessons in Molalla. Amazing Teachers.

Playing the clarinet should be a fun process. With me teaching you, I will be able to help you play what you want, and improve in the process. I work with mostly beginners of the clarinet where we can work on technical skills and improve their tone in the process.

I'm ready to work with individuals starting on the clarinet and those who wish to take their skills ahead. I don't teach advanced students in this area, but can highly recommend some teachers in the area.

I have played clarinet for 17 years now and studied with Dr. Janet Averett at San Jose State. Whether you are just looking for a new way to experience music or are a serious musician looking to improve your technique and I am excited to help develop your performing abilities!

I've been teaching clarinet lessons for over 40 years, all levels, including adults. I especially enjoy teaching middle school students and beginners. Graduated from University of North Texas with a Bachelor's in clarinet performance, and was a member of the Air Force Band. I have taught private lessons in public school band programs in Dallas, Ft. Worth, Austin and New England, where I prepared students for auditions and had many place in region and all-state bands.

Learning to read music and transfer the notes on the page to an instrument holds great cognitive benefit for children. From better math skills to improved reading comprehension. And of course there's the emotional expression to be learned. There's a particular technique on clarinet I teach my students as soon as they are able that always gets them started on playing musically. As a teacher, it's always wonderful to hear that happen!

I have been playing clarinet for twelve years and have taught students of all ages and levels. In my lessons we will work on basic fundamental techniques (breathing, technique, etc) while also learning pieces that you can bring home and play for your family. I believe playing the clarinet is something that gives people the ability to increase their creativity level, confidence, and individual expression which is important to our daily lives. I want my students to be able to grow as individuals and learn to have fun with music through playing the clarinet!

Music is a universal language, and it is for everyone.
I believe in a fun and safe learning environment, and my goal as a teacher is to have the student leave the lesson feeling inspired, encouraged, and connected. I was touched by music at a young age, and it remains to be the most amazing, and the most positive force in my life, and it's been truly rewarding to be able to share this magic with aspiring musicians.
Throughout the years, I helped many of my students develop a strong bond with music. Many of them have succeeded in school ensembles and became award winning soloists.
Upon graduating from high school, some have moved on to pursue music in college and beyond, while some of them continue to enjoy playing as a hobby : )
