I'm a casual, easy-going, caring person, and I enjoy establishing a unique working relationship with each student.
I have been teaching flute for about twenty years.
In teaching I employ a personal, individual, flexible approach, to give my students each what benefits him/her the most. I emphasize proper technique, beauty of tone, musical interpretation, and enjoyment. Music theory is intertwined with the instruction. And we play lots of duets!
I also play the piano, thus sometimes accompany my flute students.
About Diane
I have been playing the flute since fifth grade, a long time! I have taught flute privately for about twenty years. My second degree is an AA in Music from Grossmont College, near San Diego, CA. As a flutist I have been a member of both the La Jolla Civic Orchestra and the Grossmont Symphony Orche

I have over 14 years of experience in teaching flute and piano to students of all ages and levels. My goal as a flute teacher is to give each student a very well rounded and thorough understanding of the instrument. Lessons will be tailored to each student and will include the following: knowledge of instrument care/maintenance, tone production, technique (scales, etudes, etc), musicality, music theory, and a variety of repertoire from classical to pop.
About Sheila
My interest in music began at the age of seven when I began private instruction in classical piano, and by the age of ten, I began playing the flute. I received my Bachelor of Music with a degree in Music Education from the University of Redlands, where I studied flute with Sara Andon. There, I perf

Music lessons should be fun, encouraging and full of music that you love. They are an opportunity to learn something new, show your improvement, and receive correction, encouragement and praise. Students and instructors should play together frequently throughout and the time should be balanced with theory, technique and exercises, sight-reading, and performance and seasoned with introductions to a variety of music and styles. I like to encourage students to play because they love to play and to find the music that is an integral part of their soul, then to share that with others through performance. What do you want to do with or gain from your music? We will work toward your goals.
About Jennifer
Music is a huge part of my life and I love sharing that with others. Helping and seeing others discover and develop their talents and find joy in music is something I love. I come from a musical family and have been singing and playing the piano since before I can remember. Flute (and piccolo) le

I started formal music training at the age of four and earned a Master's Degree in Flute Performance at New York University. Since 2010, I have been giving music lessons. Most of my students passed and reached the short-term goals or exams I gave them, including NYSSMA, ABRSM, and some of them even got accepted into special high schools. I have my own teaching curriculum and style; I will as well use some special tools to help students improve, and teach some music theory, ear-training, sight-reading, and a lot more techniques in our lessons. But generally, all lessons are customized and catered depends on each student's abilities and goals. We can definitely figure out together the best way to help you or your child to improve. Take lessons with me, not only will you be playing songs in no time, but you will be building a strong foundation of music making!
About Yung-Ai Chloe
I hope you will consider me for my passion, expertise and experience in music teaching. I also customize my lessons towards my students' abilities and goals. My greatest satisfaction is from seeing my students improve. I love helping people learn to play music; because music has been a constant s
