Students can expect to grow as a well-rounded musician. I will teach the students about the basic fundamentals to the advanced methods of effective practices. As a professional musician, I will focus my time and energy on making sure students understand how much practicing can will improve playing. Students will have a weekly progress book. I can provide lessons for classical and jazz flute. I can also give helpful knowledge for theory and the organomics of the instrument.

I believe in teaching strong fundamentals so that we can have a solid foundation to build on. Good tone and an understanding of embouchure are most important, and we will develop technique. I enjoy helping students achieve their goals and develop their talents.

I love working with all types of students, whether they’re preparing for college auditions, just beginning the flute, or only looking to play for fun, and I also have experience with students with special needs. Flute:
A musical instrument in the woodwind group. Unlike woodwind instruments with reeds, a flute is an aerophone or reedless wind instrument that produces its sound from the flow of air across an opening. Starting with the basics we would first learn breathing and fingering techniques, notes, reading, rhythms, and songs. As the student progresses scales, theory and soloing will be taught.

I'm a passionate music teacher with about 7 years of experience, ranging from beginner students to advanced professionals. I'm currently working as an adjunct professor at NYU, teaching music to college students. My classes are student-oriented and the lesson plan is adjusted to suit each student in the most productive and enjoyable way! My classes will focus on the study of flute pedagogy, techniques, and repertoire in various genres. Students may cover a variety of areas in my classes, including: flute performance, body mapping, audition practice, and performance practice. My students will develop improved technical facility, musical understanding o the repertoire, the ability to perform expressively, the ability to work independently to prepare high quality performances, and a strong foundation in practicing methods, while working towards a tension-free technique.
